I can't make up a sentence in Japanese dawg, my Japanese score is 81
My English score is 68
given that english is studied since kindergarten-elementary in most places nowadays
while i assume japanese is uni only
My English teacher is just a bitch which admitted she tried to make me fail her class too
Imagine being such a person

well, true, but the level of English that's required in Eastern European schools is lower than an oligarch's moral compass
idk
tell you what
i had very competent english teachers all around
I literally had audio recording of her admitting that but in the end decided to not stir conflict and just bear with her bs
I didn't study English once in my life past 6th grade and still got 100% from verbal and 94% from written on my finals
you can't make this shit up
I don't think it's a "me problem" when one semester I score 96 and next one I score 50
I was so bored because the whole school was still stuck on forming basic sentences like bruhhhh
I would have to get brain damage or just completely skip classes
my school had an advanced english class option for highschool
Neither happened ofc
i went into that
that's so cool
jealous
English is pretty simple all things considered, my teacher just DEMANDS I use the exact word we learned in the Unit we went over and not my 1000 and 1 random synonyms
When she asked me to conjugate a word I was like "bruh what?" Cus I didn't know the most popular definition of the word lmao
I thought "wdym how can a word do that"
I also don't study grammar like at all
you're doing pretty good for someone who doesn't do it
In discord I also don't care about it as long as sentence is decipherable
I just go with my feels and practice
tbh
There are rarely moments when I couldn't do grammar exercise by "vibes"
5 minutes spent on sentence structure a week and you'd pass with flying colours 🤔
I don't care enough to do that tho
I just inherently know what comes next in a sentence due to me reading/listening to English for
10 years now
Half of my life
it do be like that
"I can drive a car, I might not know how engine works, but that doesn't make me a worse driver" is I explained it to my peers
I can make up a sentence, I can't explain how, I just do
(also ngl the concept of asking someone to conjugate a verb in english in a uni class is really funny to me)
that's like
elementary level stuff
and english barely changes the word when you conjugate it
if it was a latin based language i would have understood
what would be an example of a conjugated verb?
Tried it out for a bit to play with my friend so she could introduce me to her bf and his friends but turns out she didn't even tell him she has male friends so I was defeated in my friendship seeking endeavours
sorry I never came across the concept written as "conjugate a verb", it might've been described as something else for me
conjugated in present tense
It was a new word for several of my peers
so how did you get your English up on the internet? just talking? usually most people start with some form of multiplayer games if we're talking about sitting on the internet
My book claims to be C1 and then in "Vocabulary" I can see words like "assets, loans, creditors, profit, supply"
Second to last unit mind you
i used to like
spend a lot of time on fan wikis
before google translate was good
I just played a whole lot of flash games and started watching YT and stuff
it was good enough to translate individual words but not a full sentece
ahh so the same as me, just without the league buff
so i'd use page translate to see what the words in the sentence translated to, then change it back to enlgish to see the sentence structure to see how they all connect
I also severally disrespect any of online teammates I've had the displeasure to be in one team with
Not a single good person inthere for sure
overtime you just kinda memorize stuff
then in 6th grade i wanted to get better at it so i started talking to myself in english and watching english youtubers
and it just spiraled from there
I remember the bewilderment my peers and teacher had when they told me to look into my "irregular verbs table" and I went like "What table?" Turns out most people have to remind themselves this stuff or keep it on hand
mfw american cultural dominance on the internet is responsible for high levels of English literacy among non-English speaking nations 💀
I forgot such table even existed ngl
Doesn't take a genius to know that "cut" doesn't become "cuted"
oh yeah irregular verbs
my teacher printed sheets of paper with all the irregular verbs and told us we have to memorize all of it
It's not even hard it's just something you do along the way of learning
pretty sure I took a contract in 5th class of elementary for the highest grade at the end of the year, had to learn like 80 of these irregular verbs so I just memorised lmaoooooo
wait, was that in the contract?
I don't remember, might've been part of regular class
what does a contract mean in this context
from what you're saying though, seems like you had access to the web pretty early in your childhood @high storm
over time yea but this was like
homework for next week
just extra stuff you gotta learn over the course of a semester
Seeing you guys talk about irregular verbs in English makes me think you just had a book full of words because so many of our words are irregular
outside of your curriculum
it's not that many
Well yeah I think it was a disaster for me I as a parent will prevent such from happening
english is a pretty strict language in terms of rules tbh
ehh it's not that many to be honest, and English is inconsistent enough that you can fake your way through it anyway LMAOOO
What
we have to do a juca teaches romanian stream at some point
you need to see our grammar
We don't follow our own rules 90% of the time
every rule has like 10 exceptions
Our language is a memory game
Any language is memory game duffus
what are you planning
Iirc there's only one rule we genuinely follow all the time, subconscious or not, and it's word order when describing something
trust me english is easy in terms of learning a foreign language
you dont have verb conjugations that change drastically
To actually try and raise a child instead of feeding him to the internet screen, if possible
“There is no rule that a copy cannot surpass the original.”
I didn't say it was hard to learn, where other languages conjugate words 42-70+ times we have around 4-10
no I mean, if you take away the internet how are you going to ensure that a child will learn to control his/her own impulses when navigating addictive web design perfected over the course of several decades?
But all of our "rules" we learn in school have exceptions everywhere
that's every language
I will conduct such under control, because I know for granted free internet access at young age is a disaster
also that one kid without a phone gonna get mocked by their peers
Kids are fucking stupid and bully each other for most of things
ok yea I agree
Kids can get bullied for being too tidy or too rich or too cautious whatever
Kids are stupid and hardly worth listening to
yeah kids are little psychopaths, but they're also like a moose in the middle of a city, kids don't know shit and probably are gonna take some stupid shit too seriously
I think most people just grow up and understand that everything that happened in kindergarten is just a filler arc
Just how like crazy many people don't remember their middle school when you ask them what they were into or what was their passion at a time
I am talking like 11 to 15
kindergarten maybe, I don't quite remember it, but I'm sure it had an impact in my early development as a person
Super forgettable years
I asked that like good 40 people by now almost everyone agreed
I remember
actually
most people I ask remember
maybe it's just that Ukraine is shit
Poland is too tho
Only people that remembered are ones that had became like an emo or smth
And never grew out of it
Most can't recall even what music they liked at the time
idk if remember any year precisely but i can give a rough range estimate of when i became interested in x thing
yeah, for me it was mostly losing interests tho
Yeah it's all rough estimates at most
or well
worst years of my life, not gonna forget it any time soon
i can probably give precise years for animanga stuff cuz of release scheldues
anyway, even if you don't remember shit, it's still gonna impact your entire life
by far the most important period in early development
True, I think years of 13 and 16 are most life changing
it was mostly the same for me until 17
get a few traumas here and there, some maladaptive behaviours, throw in a couple of coping mechanisms, and you're set as a young adult tryna figure out why ur fucked in the head more than most people
Many people are having their own problems tho, everyone is a main character of their lives u know
I don't care for them tho, can go to hell for all I care if they are dull in my eyes
My friend for example might just be a emotionally stunted sociopath who is legit always on guard cus how many times he was beaten for no reason in school
Isn't that oh so curious?
Love human psyche
I am like a dark fucked up version of psychologist where I listen to your problems but do nothing about them and just enjoy the story
yeah most people have their own problems, I'm not arguing against that, not tryna make it pain olympics or anything
but if such problems can be avoided through proper education and a healthy environment, I don't see why we shouldn't try
Oh I love watching pain Olympics (mental ones only!) as long as it isn't like
Pity level
magic girl site
I want to see someone struggle and succeed
That's where the thrill at
I would probably be most abusive yet successful producer ever
?
go watch it and hate me later
You sure it's the right one? Wiki says it's a spin-off
just use weeb
Also manga or anime?
It has a stellar 6.52 out of 10 score
Synopsis sounds both a bit funny (seriously? A magic gun? Lol) and weird
As a treat you can try to translate Japanese sentences which are supposed to be on exam of 3rd of studying it
it's likely that kids would know how to avoid your control, since they learn new things faster. When I was a kid, I quickly figured out that my father used Windows system logs to see how much time I really spent on computer, so I just cleared those particular log entries that would show I was using computer more than 2 hours a day and used BIOS time settings to create fake log on and log off timestamps in log entries
Oh I am not talking "time" I more so mean contents
"cyber police" is a as good as a myth around these parts so I would really try to prevent my supposed kid to go off deeper web
that doesn't matter, if there is anything, kids are smart about evading parental controls. And as a parent you would just be clueless as what happens to your kid
I reckon I wouldn't because I am more tech savvy than my parents
Just yesterday instead of googling the fix to my glitching old phone they just hit it few times on the table, which helped, somehow
My father is a computer engineer, he was pretty savvy. Kids are just learning things faster
I assure you I will try to protect the young mind from something as horrible as internet people
and I could avoid my fathers controls because he was sure that no kid would be able to edit and fake administrator logs
Maybe you are just an oddity low-key
you protect them by making their mind flexible and robust, not by quarantining them
I disagree, I would much rather have them learn irl and avoid internet unless necessary
internet is irl nowadays. It definitely takes a big part in that
Nothing good comes of all this quick and easy access to degeneracy and quick dopamine hits
not much good comes from being a forbidding parent. Ofc parents have to exert control, but it's better done by giving a good example, because if you continue using internet while the kid is forbidden to do that, it would just solidify two things in your kid: an idea that internet is something desirable and a sense of inferiority
Fuck nah I wish I could just abandon internet
I am but too deeply ingrained in it and it's systems, my mind is full of quick and sweet poison which holds me hostage awaiting for the next drop of a short form video, any part of me but my willpower would love to stop using internet
If I don't succeed at making my possible offsprings understand that than maybe their kin will in time due
all you need is to make them figure that out on their own. If you figured that out for yourself, you know the recipe. Just give a kid the ingredients, they will cook the right thing eventually
the only knowledge that we truly follow is the one that we figure out for ourselves. That's the only thing that makes our believes
I figured that out only because I am a participant of this wretched system, I do not wish this upon anyone besides an enemy
Also, kids talk.
One kid finds a workaround, they share it with all the other kids
I remember when I was in school, there were all sorts of cracks and tricks being passed around my friends
makes broad generalising statement about how kids learn faster
uses personal, anecdotal experience to support the statement
no, I just know a lot of ppl who used to avoid all the different restrictions parents put on them
i see
that's just a natural thing to do for a kid
not only kids learn faster, they usually use the new tech more. So their learning curve gets even more accelerated
im not contesting that point
just the structure of the logic you presented in the message itself, since I often see people try to rationalise their general statements/beliefs through anecdotal experience, which I find to be shortsighted and kinda reductive
Surveys on the topic are rare, but a 2021 Smith survey of US parents said that 45% of parents reported their kid had attempted bypassing their parental controls.
Considering the other 55% includes parents that either might not have parental controls at all or are unaware of their kid attempting to bypass them, that seems extremely high
call me a hypocrite because I did the very thing I described in my msg lmao
based kids
speaking of bypassing parental control, I used to bruteforce my parents' pc password, could usually break it within a week lmao
I'd imagine its even worse now with how many schools give their students laptops
I didn't have to break anything cus my parents just gave me free access and a heads up, they should've been more strict
u think?
Favorite trick I remember was a stupid simple one for bypassing the school's firewall:
If you put the link to a website in Google Translate and open it inside that, it functioned as a sort of poor man's VPN
Morbid curiosity led me to places I would sleep better without knowing of
Have you considered how likely is that you are able to speak English at a decently high level thanks to your unrestricted access to Internet?
pain olympics
wtf you could do that????
Kids talk man
Learned it from one of the other kids in my class when I asked him how tf he was on Facebook on the library computer
Nah, my roommate in college showed me that one, I don't get why people watched it
I would much rather have my sanity and be normal again thanks
English be damned
of all things it had to be facebook 😭
sure, I don't think you are being entirely truthful here, considering you wanted to be a language specialist
it just occured to me, but
restrictions being restrictions, what about completely banning access to certain things? could parents be conflating the two when voting on a survey*??
I am sure my life would be in a much more boring yet stable place now
Maybe if I was just a boring ol' teacher in a small town or smth
Fuck all this studying bullshit, degrees, papers, other students
I yearn for simple life
parental control indicates both restriction and ban? how was it specified?
I dont think it was
it kinda makes sense in my head that people would be more likely to bypass parental control if we're talking about completely taking away access to an activity
it really doesn't matter though. Kids would try to evade both
by restricting stuff you just make it more desirable, thus rising chances that your kid will get addicted to shit you ban outright. So by being stupid, parents get an opposite effect
I remember using my DS's internet browser to browse the web when they'd kick me off the computer for the night
Doubt they knew it even had one
I wish I could stop enjoying all the video games, videos, all the online content and hustle to just make my days simple, I want to wake up, eat, work out, read a book, see a girl and sleep without once reaching for a device, I want to pass this wish I don't believe I can accomplish onto someone else
you're still looking at this from the perspective of exerting control, it has to be balanced out by other things such as communication
outright bans are also dangerous, and just as likely to make people addicted
you would do all of that, if you thought it was more interesting/exciting. Instead of thinking how to make internet less interesting, think how to make other stuff more interesting.
not learning to structure their life around an omnipresent technology, not learning to manage sexual urges, not learning to differentiate between sexual attraction and love, etc
by banning you take away the possibility of learning to live with X thing
It's because I am addicted and now in this loop of feedback where I just can't quit without it destroying my life
well, we were discussing exerting control specifically, so I was just enumerating all the disadvantages to basically say that any other way except being completely clueless about your kids is better
All my documents, contacts, money, studying are now digital and I can't run from it
Damned be 21st century
sorry I misread
I honestly wouldn't take all the blame, we both know that video games, online apps, etc, have had 2 decades of design and psychological research to make playing them/browsing them as addictive and time consuming as possible
curb a few addictive design elements and you might make it better
you can't run from it, because it's useful, you can always try to live in a cave, even do it successfuly, but you would be stupid to do that if you are not a YT content creator
as an example by using Unhook I found I spend around 10x less time on YouTube it's kinda crazy
I wish I could just go live in one big village with all my friends and damned be everything outside of it
yeah same man, same
Screw the government, screw the laws around us, screw everyone who tries to digitise
That's exactly what I hate about modernity
yea ok I reread and I agree, although I'm not sure why restricting some things would make banned things appear to be more desirable
yeah ur rising the desire to engage in XYZ when restricting, but a banned thing has never been interacted with so how can it be desirable? unless it's a social norm like smoking or drinking beer I honestly don't see it
it's not why. It's our natural instinct to desire things that are 1) popular with others 2) that are not immediately accessible. Thats how we learned to survive as animals, so we have it ingrained
I both love and hate modernity in that regard
I do love fruits of progress and capitalism, but I do not appreciate what obvious damage it has done to me as a person
If I just throw away my soul life is very enjoyable actually
So many cool fun awesome things
It's just when I think about long terms it starts to hurt me
I operate on logic that only bad decisions are the ones I regret, and I truly regret doing certain google searches back in primary school knowing how it affects me now
hmm, this is an interesting bias I didn't think of. I would say that if it were as simple, our feeling of regret would be an ultimate quantifier of things, since we would be able to easily separate bad decisions from good decisions by simply imagining what we would regret more and drawing from past experiences of regret.
Tbh, I didn't study the psychology of regret, but it looks like it could be a common decision making mechanism.
Unfortunately our bad decisions don't immediately lead to regret, and sometimes can never lead to it. And our feeling of regret not always comes from bad decisions
Interestingly, there is a lot of research on it. It is called "anticipated regret" and "regret aversion" and from what I can see, it's a good decision-making tool, but it can be detrimental if put too much emphasis on
combine it with a fact that people tend to overestimate outcomes, and we get a good recipe for regret from a good decision that didn't meet our expectations, so in future we would avoid this good decision, simply because it didn't turn out as we predicted, which happens a lot
damn, regret aversion could be insidious
Nerd shit, bad decision = regret and learn
Good decision = no regret and joy
Simple as
unfortunately, regret is not as intuitive as that and our intuition works against us in this case
I do not care what a random internet person has to say about my way to make decisions and I am not sorry
fine with me, I just got to thank you for an interesting topic I never considered before. I would prefer to discuss it more, but we get what we get

Alright I will budge, obviously my thinking is not binary "good or evil" but I am taking into consideration as many factors as possible when facing a decision and measure which one will give me more joy long term, my philosophy is quite alien to most people since from my research I found (1 singular philosopher) I kinda agree with, I am hyper egotistical and this type of thinking weighting pros and cons long terms helps me to avoid making hasty decisions
Example of such thinking
My family has given me lots of joy in life > my family was good > thus family good > I want to live good > I should make a good family
I mean, have you heard a term "gedonism"? It's not a bad thing, it's a valid decision making direction and it has multiple philosophers fathering it
I need reason everywhere because without it I struggle and I always find pros and cons for things as "reasons" to do or not
No hedonism doesn't describe it
I don't only just chase stimuli blindly, if I did I would be pothead ages ago
making choices by considering as many factors as possible is not something unheard of. Statistics is the field that specializes in it. A lot of approaches are used there, Bayesian method is one of them. It's also a valid thing to do, you can successfully incorporate some statistical approaches into your intuition and decision making
Sure, but you could probably improve your methodology by using certain probability and decision making theories from statistics
"My dad offers me a piece of lard to try and taste it for the 12th time to see if I like it"
A) Refuse, make father sad but don't put shit that wasn't tasty previous 11 times
Which is more valuable?
Probably me, refuse
B) Agree, chew on it a bit, maybe like and discover whole new type of dish
Involves risk of eating something nasty
Thus A is more sensible
Personally, I wouldn't disagree. That is exactly Bayesian principle at work. The probability of B getting a positive outcome is getting less and less likely the more negative outcomes you got before.
I don't give a shit what math has to say about it maths fucking suuuck
Say, if it was the first time you were asked to taste it, the probability of you choosing B would be higher, than on 11th attempt
yolo
that's why you can't find philosophers that would suit your system. Because most of them are statisticians, lol
Shuddup I don't think of probability at ALL 😭
I just think of previous similar experience
I don't take the "may or may not"
I don't take chances of probability when possible because I hate extremes and risks
you think of it intuitively, that's the one thing pretty clear to me. The fact that you specifically chose to use your example with multiple previous experiments and outcomes is prime example of that.
It's not about math it's about "Was it good before? Yes, do it" and vice versa
That's just life experience
Sure, I just find it ironical and a bit unlucky for you. You might have a mind for probabilities, but your personal likes and dislikes interfere with that. Well, life be like that
All math sucks and I hate all of it and weighing pros and cons has no numbers thus no math
Checkmate
you know, there is a branch of statistics that also specializes on removing hard numbers from decision-making. Literally a weighing of options without most of the numbers
it's not like there weren't statisticians who disliked numbers, which I also find funny
Idgaf what they do why you gotta make it about statistics 😭
Got a degree in that garbage or smth
Only numbers I care about is my payment for the job and only statistics I give a crap about is when I need to prove a factual point
no, I just see your approach as very much statistical. As you have said yourself, there aren't many people who do that. And funny enough, a lot of those who do make good statisticians
Statistics are fucking boring and useless though so that's a miss
I had the subject (Yes, linguistic studies in my university do) and it was not fun nor easy
At least it wasn't corpus math....
sure, it's not easy. Probabilities are often counterintuitive. Which is why very few people even consider them at all
I eat randomly found abandoned food items sometimes just for funsies probability is not something I consider a lot
I am just a bit sad, that you might have a knack for it and choose to avoid the centuries of people studying it. I might be wrong too, so you are fine anyway
Sure last time it was just a candy but god knows who might've touched the paper
Not like I cared at the moment nor do I care now
I just finished eating probably out of date potatoes that might poison me and make me throw up in the middle of the night but my gut is steel (mega copium)
Probabilities are an after thought
also a funny thing to consider, that both geometry and mathematical logic initially started as "maths without numbers" (and a recent post by Jake about his approach to resolving geometry problems is a prime example of that)
🙄ya annoying the shit otta me with this statistics nerd bs
this is not even statistics
I am just pointing out that if you don't like maths with numbers, there is plenty of maths without numbers, that's all
oh, no, I shouldn't talk how there are geometrical solutions to probability problems, but this is so fun
link click and baki is peak i hear
Baki KEKW. If you are OK with severely disfigured characters I guess
look at jojos animation
JoJo is a fucking greek sculpture compared to Baki
A handful aren’t too bad actually
Namely Baki himself
Or Musashi
Yujiro rn is uhhhh
Yujiro in the maga atm
what the fuck
you heard correctly
link click is peak
baki character designs were my motivation to workout
ofc in reality these builds require steroids but they still look cool
yeah, and someone needs to crush your pelvis bones too
Mine was opm
One punchhhhhh

(Never seen the first movie)
who
this reminds me of smth but not sure what
Cross Ange?
idk what that is so no
idk what this is
i wanna say there was a ygo card at some poin that had a similar color scheme and futuristic vibes
and then probably just hoyo girls body suits
oh you mean firefly?
also someone pointed out their body suits look a lot like those from evangelion and i can't unsee now
i mean theyre a direct reference tho them
Yall, which mecha anime is peak?
Eighty six
86 was decent yeah
I liked the premise but can't remember s2 for the life of me
If it even has one
I feel like it did
it had 2nd cour
None of them.
But Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, and G Gundam are pretty kino af.
I’ve heard plenty good things about Gridman too
nobody ever talks about evangelion
Plenty
And I mean
plenty do to this day. Maybe not as much now since the rebuild films are done and Anno has moved on from anime.
(Plus it’s been years)
But Evangelion’s prescence and influence on anime can still be strongly felt across the medium.
It’s strongly argued that Asuka’s a base archetype for many tsundere characters to follow
tbh, I haven't seen Asuka derived tsunderes for ages
I think I can recall seeing one or two, but I don't really remember
I haven’t kept up with newer anime in the past 3-4 years so I couldn’t tell you
Nearly all modern tsunderes stole something from her
Never watched eva but I like redheads so she is alright ig
The other video with the full song is in potato quality, so I remade it in 4k from the original IOSYS_tohootomebayashi_loving.swf, basing it on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qS1kqhhebw
IOSYS - 魔理沙は大変なものを盗んでいきました
This gag in kindergarten wars just never gets old
Absolutely love the 😭Rita face
I keep getting these and they are still all hilarious to me
IOSYS!
These are from Konosuba director of this season
Jun Fukushima really loves Kazuma and this series
Never forget he almost dropped by them because they casted the wrong person, they wanted to cast Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch VA) at that time
Haha that's cute
Also before zooming in I thought his pfp is punpun (self projecting on my part)
konosuba is so good
do you play borderlands 3
Odd question but no never played it
Why asking
🗣️ 💯 🔥
Thought you were referencing a character mb
Cause he says that exact line
😭😭😭
Like the same order and everything
Lmao, I played borderlands 2 so I might I know who the character is? XD
Is it handsome Jack or smth lol
God bless Netflix

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 Officially Announced!
✨More: https://animetv-jp.net/news/delicious-in-dungeon-season-2-officially-announced/
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO
Sorry I'm late to this. Resident mecha guy here. I'm not too versed in Super Robot stuff but I highly recommend SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon if you're looking for that. For Real Robot you really can't go wrong with most of the Gundam series. It kinda defined the genre. 86 I've heard is also good (I personally couldn't get into it but I want to give it another shot).
Flesh Mecha
🤢🤢🤢
It was so fucking bad
Reddit neckbeard anime of choice bro I swear
Forced myself through watching because "If it's so popular surely it must be good and studio is cool"
Genuinely dogshit like 4-5/10 being rich
Yoooo, unrelated, but seeing the title of the next Mushoku Tensei episode...
Looks like we've finally reached that moment. You ready for it? 👀
It literally IS a shitty metaphor for sex
whats the title
||"Parents"||
Yup
Can't wait for it to ||leave me a wreck all over again 😭 It fucked me up in the light novel||
honestly
as a teen
cuz that's when i read the web novel
it was pretty heavy
but what came before it and after it ||(the Rory incident)|| made me cringe so hard
daaamn back into the negativity we go, come on there has to be something positive I can say about the series
how the incident was reframed in the |||DRAGON GOD ORSTED future and past reading incident|| mad eme cringe even harder
Can't remember in the light novel, but the most recent episode had ||Paul indirectly suggest it to him through a vague "swords" metaphor
||
u srs?
Author just can't help himself huh
it's fine tho as a teen I enjoyed it and self-inserted it can't be that bad, surely
If I had a nickel for every time a pervert wrote popular amazingly detailed fantasy world I would have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice
Made in abyss and Mushoku in this case
nah that's not even what it was about
the 2 incidents i spoilered mostly relate to mc being a dipshit
and also the rest of the cast being dipshits
You can't tell me Mushoku Tensei is not perverted in any way
I watched the whole anime up to date and read the manga Rudeus is a fucking freak maaan
||in the context of what i was talking about it wasn't perversion for the sake of perversion||
Not making it much better u know
also i read like 19 volumes of the web novel so I know
Mushoku Tensei would be widely accepted timeless masterpiece if Rudeus wasn't a fucking weirdo imo
Ill watch it anyway
Well he is, bro worships a goddess
Peak
I feel like you missed the point a little
WHAT
while he has a wife pregnant with a kid
Yeh. Context: ||Roxy's been crushing hard on Rudeus ever since he rescued her, going on shopping trips, asking him if he'll adventure with her after this, etc. Paul notices this and pulls Rudy aside for a quick talk||
do yall also like swordplay anime??
He has a long sword, unsheathing takes like full 20 or 30 seconds
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH THERE'S NO WAY
holy shit I don't remember that AT ALL
Lol
Ngl, there's been so much foreshadowing of shit that I can't remember how much is anime original or not. Could just be benefit of hindsight lol
Is that a name or genre or smth
also what did yall think of the latest csm manga??
ya
Ngl, never heard of a swordplay genre lol
genre
Good follow-up chapter which busted at least 1 crackhead theory and I am so thankful of it
If this community crack theory of "Bodily fluid sword" became true I would legit just postponed reading next chapters
Tried watching the remake and dropped it cus it was sooo boring, wonder how it went to develop later
oof
Seeing Netflix logo in dungeon meshi I suddenly remember Castlevania
God it was so fucking good
Isaac is so goated easily one of my favourite anime characters of all time
Nocturne kinda shit the bed imo
Reminded of that time I found out one of the main action animators for Castlevania also did the fight scenes in The Owl House
(Surprisingly decent Disney cartoon series)
You can kinda see his style in both (those sort of floaty buildup motions before big attacks especially)
Well my pick is still clear, Castlevania on top 🗣️🔥💯
I wonder if they announced Nocturne season 2 or smth
Kinda like when you're listening to some random song and one of your favorite artists suddenly bursts in for the chorus
Alright it HAS been renewed for next season
Late 2024 or early 2025 at best though
Well, the original series were awesome so I have my hopes
I needa watch castlevania
its goated as hell
also have any of yall watched 1999 hunter x hunter??
Some clips of it
Saw someone shared a poster for the 27th conan movie (preorder I think?) for my country, can't wait to watch it next month

Maybe I'll try buying the fan screening one if they have it, I never go tho those cuz I'm usually outside of town whenever they did them
Kinda tempted to watch the conan vs kid anime recap movie, but I can just read the manga chapters for those, since I don't have that much attachment to the anime in the first place
I just hope the spoilers from the movie actually gets revealed in the manga as well, cuz I was a bit pissed when I read the movie spoiler for a certain plot point, but it got revealed in the movie first instead of the manga
I don't really watch the anime, but I remember reading some one time anime-only characters would become reoccurring manga characters (Detective Takagi and Detective Chiba are some that come to mind), the mangaka would also use the characters' voice actors name for the characters as well sometimes, it's kinda funny lol
Welcome, it's a 30+ y-o manga and still on going
I've been reading the manga since elementary and can't get out of this hole, help

I wonder if jojo counts as such too
On technicality thought
Might go on a bit conan reread binge again one of these days, but there's like...1100+ chapters now, so I'll just reread my favorite cases atm or smth
I'll reread all of them when the big bad guys are in the limelight again for the plot
Ig I'll the the kaito kid ones for now, since the 27th movie is coming out soon

AZUMANGA DAIOH CHARACTER PACK RELEASE 1/3 COMING NEXT WEEK!!! 19-06-2024
All of this was possible thanks to @elrarosocial, @6094Squishy, @KnuxUltimate, @Nokiaa__ and @azumadeline !!!
#azumangadaioh #sm64coopdx
Also neat
needed that pack
I like that dededede is staying faithful to panels and all but subtitles seem kind of ass and anime itself is not the greatest thing ever after sliced bread
Very few comments on the website I watch it on
Not the biggest fan of manga so I am wondering how anime onlies like/don't like it
At least le funny Ontan seems to have the same phrases as in manga and that's a big plus
Yo yo yo, i'm back to this channel after being inactive for so long (i only read new messages), i have a new recommendation, it's a josei romance manga
I didn't even know you could coop
AZUMANGA
Is it true that Disney+ will release the new haikyu movie in their platform ??

(My war AOT) I'm surprised that this mv aren't that popular, i only know about this today (sorry if i'm late and this mv is popular back in 2022), also, no one has analysed the mv and its story in it, i want to know what is actually happening in this mv
Truly one of the scariest mv out there (imo)
What are you talking about? The mv?
both mv and music
shoegaze is a music genre tho
but shoegaze also has an aesthetic so like I could say both I guess
Guys, from 1 to 10, how much do you recommend dungeon meshi (no spoiler please~)?
10 (i never watched it)
I thought you meant glazing, sorry sorry
Only watched the first episode and somewhat read the manga's early chapters years ago, but I like the vibe for dungeon meshi
Might try reading/watching it again later if I'm in the mood
I can hear the overwhelming sound, but where is the distorted guitar sound coming from?
yea this is probably different
No, it is shoegaze, it's just missing the distorted guitar sound
10, finished the manga, havent gotten around to continuing the anime tho
Also highly recommend eating something while watching, series gets you hungry for fictional dishes
One word that will haunt you, cliffhanger...
Ok, a little bit of spoiler, do they eat disgusting things that make apetite go away?
Some questionable dishes? Yes. Enough to make me gag and look away? Nope.
I just checked @outer scaffold and spotify classifies it as japanese alt rock
it's a very unique song though so I don't think it falls neatly into any genre
someone more knowledgeable correct me
9
They are not Fr*nch they don't eat slugs or such
Where are you from? That makes you insult French people
Either anywhere that's not France, or France
French people insult each other, i think that's what jake mean
Goofy is from ukraine
Hating France is internet meme
(As a joke, i use his/her/their pronouns on bio)
Don't have much against actual real people, except the weird cuisine items
I am a dude bruh
He/him or whatever
Oh sorry, i didn't know, nowadays people gets hurt over simple things like pronouns
If I actually hated France I wouldn't have went to French restaurant last week @outer scaffold
I even posted a pic in food channel lol
Do they have slugs?
Yeah that bugs me too, I just call everyone dude or bro until they ask otherwise
normal people don't get hurt over pronouns
They had 1 on the menu
I ofc took something normal instead thx
Exactly it's just internet snowflakes
language evolution
You know, THOSE kind of people
I maybe be a goofy restard but I can take a joke at least
I catfished dudes going as back as to when I was 12, gave me huge confidence boost in my masculinity lmao
only thing is, when u know someone is going through gender dysphoria, and u choose to call them otherwise, that's kind of an ass move (putting aside how i view this as a coping mechanism, and gender is a social construct anyway so it's like, but whatever)
Chat roulette 40 year olds with their micro sticks sure gave me and my bro a belly laugh
A shuckle if you will
Fuckin electricity shortages man my manga isn't fucking loading 👺👺👺
Give me my wi-fi back
ur a menace to society
Incoming a long paragraph for @high storm
You wanna know something? If you eat weird things that are eatable, at first you will feel sick, but the more you eat weird things, you will builld an immune for those things, an example is when a rich person in my country tries to eat fried things for the first time and they fell sick, but the more fried things the person eat, they will build up an immune for those kind of food
I think I might just be weird
That is an exception now in my book
Yeah no shit
I am not willing to try it though nor do I feel like I am missing out
your brain adapts
So idc
So try to eat slugs next time 😁
you ever had a "kaszanka"?
It's just a suggestion
best shit ever
I don't care if there's blood in it, and pig intestines, and other yucky bits, it tastes amazing
Look like a sausage on this image
it's just a wrapping skin
And this look like my country's wafer
Blood sausage?
Images not loading so a wild guess
on blood sausage wiki page there's a polish variant listed as "kaszanka", so I guess?
This shit is so delicious
ew sweets
Yeah I saw it a few times but I never tried it
Shit just sounds and looks nasty
u gotta try it tho
I could eat toilet paper as long as I didn't know how it's made but since I first hand saw pig guts getting cleaned of shit to make such sausages I feel an overwhelming disgust
Just try to imagine beng beng (a sweet wafer) when you try it, maybe your brain will trick you
ciota
And i take it back.
What
weak-willed
Don't imagine it at all.
i just got 2 auto-censors for a single one-word message, thanks bot
so then you know how blood sausage is made, ye?
what do they do with the intestines after cleaning them from shit?
I never cared to watch the full process but I think they boil them or some shit to make them clean as almost sterile
My family makes it sometimes but I am just not a big fan
I see
Ok, back to manga, what did you want to read? @high storm
Same for
Tryna read Mikane and The sea woman, Beat and Motion and magical girl tsubame
But fucking shonen jump app just won't load 😠
Solution: go to pirated sites
I don't wanna bother so much to get adds or get into different app
I am only mildly interested in all 3 too
They are all just like okay
I probably like Tsubame out of 3 the most due to how fucking weird it is
Everyone in magical girl tsubame is just such a wreck I love it
Also if anything it's incredibly unique
I don't remember ever seeing real sky incorporated into regular panels and black and white panels just sometimes having coloured bits
Like ||being a magical girl is just as I understood it is having a part of genome of a virus of biological weapon virus who is also a girl who is also a friend of main character||
Also just shouting as attack makes for funny panels
Lol
manga name
Just 30 chapters out rn but I really haven't seen anything similar to this yet
tldr what is it about
"The world is in danger! Who will rise to protect it? Introducing Tsubame, an ordinary high school student who dreams of becoming a magical girl. But if she has to choose between the world and her friends... A new adventure from Mapollo 3, the creator of PPPPPP! Buckle up for some passion, magical girls, and a dash of madness!"
Post-apoc world where sky is obstructed by many heart shapes which sometimes shoot negative emotion rays at people and kill them, only magical girls who are invisible to people are immune to them + synopsis
You know it's certified post-apoc when they call it J♡p♡n instead of normal name u know
u lost me at "high school student"
hol up they made PPPPPP
I read that, it was pretty interesting
too shounen'y tho
I assume you get lost a lot when watching anime
yea I drop nearly everything in the first 5 minutes
same goes for manhwa and manhua
there's like 3 tiers of aversion
drop at first 5 mins
drop 5 episodes in
don't drop at all
ok i don't wanna yap anymore
caveman yap era is over
It matters like in first 2 chapters is all
They don't literally go to school or do slice of life stuff
It more like mystery/comedy/action and a bit of psychology
nice
hope it's better than pppppp
that one had good ideas and amazing art and paneling, not so great execution in writing tho
Well I find concepts laid out by author to be pretty cool so now I am wondering how the execution will be like
Fucking love bullshit posts
Because I just KNOW someone will think of this as real, at least on tik tok
was gojo actually the final villain?
dunno didnt read
Brother, the post literally has it in the title "Humor" and "has been over", the series is still ongoing

「空白とカタルシス」トゲナシトゲ...
The second insert song in this episode
forgot about that show
I only have one complaint about the show and it's that there's one conflict that I feel like that dragged out for an episode longer than it needed too but the way they resolved it was really good so I wont begrudge them to much.
Other than that I've been loving it
so he wasn't, ok

Thanks for watching!
oh no! anyway
In Dragonball Super? Yes
In Bocchi the Rock? Yes
really
Both are actual footage
guess i just forgor
lovely
Ah i remember watching this in animax, good times
Its a fun show
Anyways, finally got around to watching godzilla minus one
So mad this never showed in my country
i watched it one or two months ago and wasn't that impressed
idk why everyone hyped the hell out of it
granted im not a kaiju fan
Thats ok, cant satisfy everybody
I watched the first season of jojo and i realized i wasnt a fan of it
Phantom blood
Granted ik its one of the weakest, but i dropped it after few eps of battle tendency
i like some parts but dislike others
I wonder if they'll remake inuyasha after this
Well, ig now I have a reason to finally read the manga, it's been on my backlog for years anyways
I did watch Part 4 when it aired and finished it tho (yes im one of THOSE ppl, pls dont hurt me), i loved that one as its own, just didnt like the other parts to continue
this fucking better be legit
why would they remake inuyasha
Didnt that have a sequel series recently?
Mostly just a guess, they've been remaking her old work's anime recently (urusei yatsura), so I assume the next one's gonna be inuyasha
Isn't mao still counts as pretty recent? I don't really follow her works that much, so idk tbh lol
Just searched for rin-ne, cuz I remember it got an anime after 6 years of publication and a couple of years before it ended
I don't remember mao being a big, cultural hit like urusei yatsura, ranma 1/2, and inuyasha, so I could see why it took longer for an anime adaptation
Maybe a mao anime adaptation after ranma 1/2 remake? Who knows
Looking at her list of published works again, just realized there's never an adaptation for maison ikkoku, even though it's also a pretty big hit and seller, I wonder why
Well there's a music group(?) masiondes or smth, I remember seeing them provide the op/ed for urusei yatsura, so ig that could count as an easter egg/nod to maison ikkoku...? Idk lol
no they wouldnt...
they wouldnt right?
also do uknow how many episodes inuyasha has?
167
Good chunk of that is prolly anime original stuff too
Not to mention they speedrun the endgame stuff on the anime adaptation iirc
One piece remake is currently being made dude lmao
By WIT studio if I remember correctly too, pretty good studio

@rancid ledge here is the trailer too lmao
...
They are reportedly remaking only one arc though FOR NOW AT LEAST
WHO KEEPS YOU UP WITH THIS INFORMATION?!
Btw isn't 167 episodes still counts as pretty low, number wise?
WHO IS IT?! THE CEO OF ONE PIECE?!
Oh it was pretty big news like 10 months ago or so
Remake to ongoing anime and all
And I don't even watch one piece
teru we talked about it before
Or my perception of "long" is just pretty skewed cuz I'm used to long, on-going stuff from the pre-seasonal anime era lmao
it was announced relatively close to the nextflix series launch
so there was a decent amount of buzz about it
let me act a little crazy and let me fall in love with my personality k? okay.
Nextflix?
typo
Oh
bro i dropped it

It just sounds like a project of sorts low-key
oh so youre doing that on purpose?
perhaps.
i thought you were just young and didnt know better ngl
Isn't childlike wonder and feeling of wonder just so cute?
Being excited is awesome!!!
juca doesnt know that
idk i'd call talking in all caps childlike wonder ngl
he doesnt know personalities smh
it just makes a person sound triggered and mad for no reason
I think it's about being surprised
bruh.
If we're entering a remake era for "old" anime, I hope there's one for eyeshield 21 or smth
Remake fucking Tokyo ghoul I beg 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Still felt kinda sad the anime didn't live up to Murata's art at all
Makes me wanna reread the whole series again, talking abt it actually
yea i dont really care much for anime adaptations for murata or boichi series ngl
remake the whole damn anime for starters.
it's realistically impossible to do the manga art justice for those artists
BECAUSE MANGA TOKYO GHOUL IS GOOOOOOOOOOOD
Girl that's what I said
I think I only ever preferred anime over manga is Bocchi the rock
oh right the girl band anime
Mfw no visual gags, funny animations and voice acting:(
generally stuff that has relatively simple artstyles and paneling tends to work out better as anime
gives the studio more wiggle room and a lower overall floor they have to hit to be faithful
i also liked ranking of kings anime a lot
same reason
It's just all rectangles
yea boichi is 4koma
I feel like I am in a cage reading that
Just remembered there's a yaiba anime remake by wit studio or smth
yaiba?
its the panels that make it better
the fucking panels and visuals
Man, what's up with remaking old anime nowadays
now i wanna see kvitsev thoughts on link click manga
Idfk I just don't get 4koma style of manga, looks jarring to me
Gosho's older series, before he made conan
There is one?
appealing to nostalgia is easy money from older fans+ it's an already popular ip so it's guaranteed to do better
whats up with waiting for p3r on switch?
no need to risk it with an unknown ip that might not catch on
ask yourself that question
@rancid ledge oh yeah I don't fuck with manhua or whatever
isnt there?
I don't like this format
MANHWA HATER I KNEW IT

I just don't like scrolling with my finger all the time
Yeah, feels like they also just want to reintroduce older series to the newer generation as well + get new fans
Since it'd be like...decades after it was first released
also check out dungeon meshi manga
its great
personally im not a fan of this trend but it is what it is
gives me more time to look into more niche series or older series ig
I think I only ever partially read one, Spare me, great lord
I finished it weeks ago, 9/10 better than Frieren
not the frieren shade
It was hyped up as second best thing since sliced bread
And I think it like just good
Not masterpiece
dungeon meshi is just better because its giving dnd aesthetic and cooking
i think it's still top 1 on mal
better than food wars
which is surprsing to me
idk what the fuck is up with food wars
Which is baffling to me
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE
I'm still kinda waiting for anime adaptations for older series that never got an anime before, very unlikely, but still plausible if it's possible
still waiting for that oresama teacher anime adaptation
MAL is ofc full of snobs so maybe that's why it can stay there
whats MAL??
anime adaptions are never great
OH YALL GO ON THIS ONE?!
But it gives my country a reason to start/continue an official translation release here
I watch my pirated series anywhere I feel like it's just some anime community infighting for who is better
Season 3 too
okay that too
and its not that i hate mappa, i just love wit studio
ufotable is something else
MAL also for some reason loves Gintama to insane degree
Still waiting for that official undead unluck release in my country, but still no dice
Even dandadan got one, months before it's released
But hey my boy Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu up there
Anime was low-key butchered by pacing
Very much so, but I need those so my country finally start an official release here
Not even the imported bookstores have undead unluck here, wth
Crazy
also is it worth watching the persona anime or playing the game??
It is decently popular too so it is double weird
I wanna collect the tankobon, but I don't wanna wait for online shipping
Undead Unluck when I think about is just about everything really
They had a words game, they had a cooking contest, currently on fuckin idol arc, fights to deaths too
- cheesiest names for characters fucking ever
it's just kinda an issue with having long term anime with separate seasons
people that didnt like the anime will drop it in the earlier seasons
so by the time you get to the later ones only people who really liked it enough to keep watching wil lbe voting on it
hence the high ratings
also what are everyones thoughts on hells paradise??
"So what's your name?"
"Void"
"So Mr. Void"
"Your ability will be un-aVOIDdable"
Genius naming scheme
Void is such a cool name lmao
Felt lackluster of something I can't quite put my finger on
Honestly I kinda get it, the first chapter/volume is kinda...risque, esp if it's released in my country, so I get why they won't release it under the shounen jump tag (they have that here)
But they got dandadan's license and gonna release it under a publisher for mature works, so I'm kinda confused why they didn't do that as well for undead unluck, esp since that publishing house in under the same company
i still very icky about mushoku tensei
rudeus as the goat?
is he really the goat?
or am i trippin
If you are a weeb you have high probability of relating at some point
So for some he un-ironically is
I myself just like the world and the parts where he is not a fucking weird creep
i just like the story
i only relate to characters who actually made me feel something
Story is actually pretty darn good
i never understood why people feel like the mc needs to personally relate to them or else the story is no good
season 1 and 2 is good
feels like you need to go to therapy if youre that desparate for aknowledgement
It doesn't need to it's just hard to feel for them when you don't relate
Haven't read the manga adaptation after the MC met the elf girl, but I do enjoy reading the story
There's some questionable stuff, but I mostly chalk it up as otaku trope shenanigans
It is what it is
just like teyvat
Water in Fontaine didn't spill out just because ok smh
Their own laws of psychics
Either you become too jaded after being part of it too long, so the weirdness doesn't bother you
Or you just embrace it at this point
brother is on drugs
4.2 is peak at least for me
Only time I ever embraced was Shimoneta
It is so fucking funny
But so degenerate
Wait.. I just searched for that one
Man I remember seeing that visual preview years ago
Same
Never watched it, but the image just looks cursed, it's wacky
