For some god forsaken reason every single important character has to have some degree of romantic subplot in their character arc, even when said arc has absolutely zero to do with romance

And i despise that camera trick they do with important reveals where they purposefully delay showing an image of the big reveal and instead pan around its edge or focus on all the characters shocked faces and such

While dramatic music is playing

It feels like the dramatic equivalent of a jumpscare

Its there to get a cheap in the moment reaction out of you then move on like nothing happened

Theyve really started spamming this trick in the current season im in and its starting to drive me insane with how often its used

Tbh, it was a decently popular show when it aired, but it's not anywhere close to as ubiquitious/a staple of the anime scene as stuff like Naruto and Dragonball are.

I'd be very surprised if more than a third of the audience watching it has watched the original. I'd expect seasonal watchers and people who just dont watch "old" anime but will watch a new reboot to vastly outnumber them

The unique part of gameplay is being able to communicate with enemies, trying to persuade them, receiving benefits from them (this is the part of P2 and P5 gameplay). In Shin Megami Tensei, enemies can troll you, asking for gifts from you for their service, but then just leaving you or attacking, after you gave them your health. To properly do demon diplomacy, you need to understand demon types and then you can successfully argue with them. That's pretty much the unique part of SMT gameplay that resurfaces through the series here and there and I don't think any game replicated that well
