20s?
like 1920????
frfr peak fiction ong https://youtu.be/ShzmzcJM7QI?si=RlG1nULrgxEXGMkw
me

it would be funny to see how time travel and time rewind stories slowly progress. It used to be 1960s, then 1980s. I guess 1990-2000s nowadays lmao?
Am I the only guy that Hums the chainsaw man op
It's so catchy
It's been over a month and I still remember the song
😔
it's ok, I still remember it a bit. Wow, I was shocked it is already one year since Chainsaw aired
I thought it was around half a year lmao
what a show, still fresh in my mind
bl bl
i haven't seen this since it aired, peak fiction I agree
Wake up babe, Pluto just dropped
2000s
Normally people would refer to that at 00s or 2000s not 20s.
Especially considering we are currently in a 20s
lol
This is true

kinda
okay cool

But joke aside
It's been so long to read it again
Have you read the comic? @shadow knot
I read some of it but I watched the movie

The movie didn't tell alot

If it's more than 6, I'm buying
The opening for the 1985 series Dirty Pair, sung by Meiko Nakahara. One of my personal favorites from the 80s.
This was pulled from the vinyl record, for a clean recording.
I don't own Dirty Pair or Russian Roulette.
Balls
big 3 is worth watching
anybody still watch jujutsu kaisen??
I'm waiting for s2 to end
ive been spoiled by tiktok
and gojos stupid ass breathing
I saw the new Gojo x ||Kitkat|| collab. DO NOT LOOK IT UP UNLESS YOU HAVE READ CHAPTER 236.

Bocchi the rock
Guess what show "bocchi the rock" is from
I bet you cant
It's too hard
冬会です

Hey guys, what is this manga called anyone knows?
Reincarnated as an Aristocrat with an Appraisal Skill
oh that one lol
no, I meant that it's already two red flags in only just a name
But thanks anyway
How many animes start with "reincarnated as a"
1 too many probably
many too many
but there's a point to their titles too i suppose
since they tend to come from light novels/manga that are titled that way to help explain the plot for anyone who wants to read them
Reincarnated as a poop, pooped out to solve racism
!!!
They always solve racism and sexism and other political problems in the funny isekai animes
?
Animes? Not that many (tho you'll find many more if you include any with "reincarnation" in their title somewhere)
It's a very common title in manga tho
I just watched the first Eureka 7 Hi-Volution movie and all I'm left to is ask is....
What was the point?
Like that entire movie seemed completely pointless. It literally went nowhere.
I love this op

FR
LIKE HOW
just you wait until you hit like episode 12
shit gets real with nanami
Rip da boi
Who's nanami
glasses man
I'm bad with char names
with the knife
Eh
he does the super precision thing
where he can cut anything if he sees it in parts
yeah
that episode
showcases just how terrifying he is
and it's wonderful
like he literally just has ||no fucks left to give and goes on a rampage that's probably the most horrifying thing i've seen in the show because he's ruthless and merciless in his endeavor to get information from fuckboy mcgee||
and the way they like
do the shading on him
in those scenes
is immaculate
Who is fuqboi mcgeee
that's his power yeah
Ah
i think he lost one from s1, no?
oh 😭
anyway
the shading they put on him is insane and really aids in how menacing he is
and i love it
nanami in serious mode is terrifying
this is the face of a man who has ||almost nothing left to lose after the deaths of some of his students/comrades||
Damb
This manga is so real
What Manga?
Noa senpai wa tomodachi
i think i should rewatch jujutsu
I like how one of the selling points for SukaSuka World End is literally the Scarborough Fair cover. Like it's so good that when people recommend the anime they all mention it.

so i'm taller than all the shorter people and shorter than all the taller people
ah
this is the height comparison for reference (i think jake is 6'3 i might be wrong, also Im pretty sure i grew an inch but i havent been to the doctor lately)
ah
6'4" ya filthy casual

I'm just 5'8 if I stand up the tallest I can be
you forgot yo put on heels
i cant believe we have toddlers in the anime channel this is so sad
Tis a nice height, ngl
could've been worse
tall enough that people will notice if pointed out, but not so tall that people can't help but notice
no actually if I'm 5'10 I'd be happy with that
im fine with being 5'11 but i want that extra inch
how about you become 5'10 by giving me that inch
cause i would die if i was shorter than my friend
this reminds me, i went to the store today and there was a guy who was probably 7'1
couldn't help myself but look over at him
it's cool
just wait until you hear about this basketball player

thing about shaq is like... he aint just tall. His whole body is massive.
yeah
shaq is tiny compared to wemby and ming though
true
if he had kobe ethic he'd hold majority of the records in the nba probably
he's normal proportions tall
shaq is built like a fucking truck

Its not even the best part of the episode 😭
madhouse cooking
This entire week has been incredible

@topaz linden checked out teamoon empire synopsis
I'm so binging this when it fully done
It sounds so goofy
Like it sounds like goofy re zero
She only dies once
everything else is just her attempts to not have to do that again
Think of it more like if Bakarina had Ainz's power of "all according to plan" luck and accidental charisma

Also the narrator constantly shit talks her
Only watched three-ish episodes so far (haven't had time to catch up), but im a big fan of the book and the anime looks like a pretty good adaption
💀
If I do the math
It will be like 2-3 months until the anime is done
So I'll wait until then
why are there so many anime bruh
i keep finding new ones to add to my planned list
like wth
Fr
i got 32 on my planned list rn
and almost all of those are current season shows
wtfff
Longer because they do a million recaps
As of October, ~359 hours of video.
So if you did nothing but watch One Piece from the minute you wake up til the moment you sleep (assuming 8 hours of sleep), it'd take 15 days.
their almost at 1.1K eps
but like almost half of that is filler
They adapt literally 0.8 chapters per episode
xD
They do filler arcs but it's not half
It's not even a quarter
It's about a 40 ish difference from the chapters themselves
Like gear 5 was chapter 1043 and the episode was like 1077
About a chapter per episode 💀

I had the morioh radio song as my alarm for like 3 years
As far as I understand it, memes aside, the release today was the ending.
i kinda wanna binge the whole thing
I read the manga as it was coming out and due to it being monthly releases I kinda forgot a lot of the details inbetween waiting for a new chapter to come out
I left it at season 2 part 1, good riddance
yea i hvent watched part 6 yet
is there any place i can get the english version of jojo part 7 manga?
i cant find the english version
no the physical copy
was it even translated officially?
shes a bitch and amber heard basically
no
now we wait for the Levi manga adaptation
💀
I actually wouldnt be mad if we got a romance manga about Gabi and Falco
guys, can you suggest any manga (or manhwa or other types) that has really interesting story?
something that was not aired as anime
Hm, time to trawl through the spreadsheet
a huge plus if it has mindgames of any kind, but it's not necessary
like, for example, I would consider ShangriLa a manga that has mindgames, so my definition is pretty broad
If AI Ruled the World (Manwha): A series of loosely connected "Black Mirror"-esque stories that look at the ways a future society is affected by AI, whose plots gradually begin to cross and collide as the story progresses. [Complete]
Love Score (Manga): A short and somewhat disturbing exploration of a possible future in which dating and compatability are determined entirely by algorithm, rather than trial and error. [Complete]
A Stepmother's Marchen (Manwha): Historical setting time regression story set in a very realistic medival European society. Lots of historical-style politics and strategizing, as well as some real heart to it. My personal all-time favorite. [Ongoing]
The Abandoned Empress (Manwha): Thematically, this is more or less a Otome isekai that realized the "isekai" part wasn't needed for an interesting romantic/political drama. An Feels like a historical drama rather than a pure romance series, which is a refreshing take on the genre's usual tropes. [Complete]
Afterschool War Activities (Manwha): A dark, realistic take on war that mixes alien invasion with high schooler Full Metal Jacket. Structured as half-present day story, and half "documentary" footage after the war. [Complete]
Personally very much enjoyed all of these
Thanks! I'll check those out, all sound interesting. Unexpectedly, not many mangas
also, does the first one have a central plot (later on)?
It does, and all the stories feed into it
20th century boys, Pluto, vagabond, goodnight Punpun
A lot of the good manga I've read have gotten adapted already
(also was trying to stick to completed series. If you like mind games tho, another good ongoing manwha is Regressor Instruction Manual. Dude's mindgames are on a other level lol)
great, I forgot that I prefer the stories with a (strong) central plot
Yee, if you've watched Oddtaxi, it's kinda that sorta thing, where the stories start spread out and gradually intersect as the pace of events quickens
Ahh, I was going to ask about why you chose Completed stories. That's like not an issue for me, since I rarely complete reading manga stories, so I am completely fine with incomplete stories
Ah, waiting for new chapters is a constant struggle for me, so I generally avoid passing it onto others
Also, would feel bad if I recommended something and it ended up with a shit ending later on lol
I can check through my currently reading folder if that's not an issue tho 👀
nah, I am totally fine with anything that has more than 70 entries. I usually read manga in binges of 100-200 chapters, then make a pause for 3-4-5 years
then continue if I don't forget
Pluto sounds familiar. I'll check that
It's got an anime airing rn that's incredibly well done 👀
huh, I missed it since I don't watch ONA
Jeez, descriptions on MAL suck as usual
I would never read or watch pluto after that description, lol
why every description on MAL is so boring, even for interesting plots, like even Oshi no Ko
IF AI RULED THE WORLD
ELON MUSK OMG
!!!!!
CHAT GPT?!!!!!!
^ triggered, lol
COCOGLOCK
I AM AI RAAAH
YO
KAFKA BOOM FR
TIME TO SAY BYE
Have you read SSS-Class Revival Hunter (the censorship lol, at least convenient)? I was planning to read it for a long time, but it sounds a bit generic
Ongoing Recommendations:
SSS-Class Revival Hunter (Manwha): Death world manwha, but the guy has a 24hr Re:Zero-esque ability to revive upon death. Character isn't a whiny incompetant ass like Subaru tho, so he uses this ability strategically to play the other characters and achieve the best possible outcome in each of the themed worlds/challenges humanity is out through. Absolutely incredible story, with emotional highs and haunting scenes. [Two seasons complete, 100 long chapters]
Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Manga): MC is a "blessed" exorcist developed as a weapon against the devil by the church. Unable to beat him in one on one conflict, Satan sends a succubi in with a single task: Make the exorcist fall (in love). A game of temptation (sfw kind) and conflict of heart. [51 chapters out, but really good so far]
A Gate Opened on my First Day as a Politician: Monsters start emerging on a dude's first day as a parliament member. With most of the governmenr dead, he must navigate the conflicting interests to restore order while keeping dangerous rivals in check, while the rise of super powered hunters threatens to throw everything into chaos. [1 season complete, 52 chapters]
The Fable (Manga): MC's basically a mentally challenged John Wick. The Yakuza's best assassin tries to retire, but conflicts in the shadows threaten to spill over into his new life, forcing him back into action. A classic incredibly well done. [Complete, 240 chapters]
Oh, Lime, Id also recommend Leviathan
I'm not gonna do a whole essay but it's essentially mad Max on water with giant alien sea monsters invading earth
wtf jake reccing the fable is so rare
Cannot recommend it strongly enough. I'm loving it so much so far
THIS LMAO. This sounds pretty hilarious, but I wonder how long it lasts (well, I don't suppose it would fizzle out within 52 chapters)
It's surprisingly grounded tbh
have you watched Waterworld?
Dude's just a normal dude doing the reconstruction stuff that always just happens in the background/offscreen in these death worlds
No special powers of his own
I've heard about it, I imagine that's just mad Max on water
I'm not normally a fan of older manga, but its recent enough that its art style is passable and the story is really solid/well-paced.
ya I’m pretty sure it ended recently so I do wanna finish it eventually
really fun read
Older mangas tend to trigger uncanny valley stuff for me, so it was a nice find
but its recent enough that its art style is passable
Pre 2010ish is around the dividing line I think
ok, great. Definitely a bunch of interesting stuff. Also I suppose I'll finally get to read SSS-Guy
Did you see anime Gargantia?
Basically I just can't stand this era's art style
lmfaoo that’s shōjo manga jake
But yeah the art for leviathan is fucking crazy, and the horror aspects too are really well done
I’m also not a fan of it obviously
as for me, I am fine with any style, that's totally a non-decider for me
Yee, its just an uncanny valley thing for me
That period where they still tried to make their manga characters "realistic" rather than stylized
interesting, I'll check this too
Well, realistic but with wack proportions
As someone who has thassolophobia leviathan scared the hell out of me
I would assume this is a deep-water phobia?
You should play Subnautica
Yee, deep water phobia
nah, there is a recent game from Quantic Dream (I think?)
let me check
Yeah. Under the Waves
Havent checked that out yet 👀
it's LIT honestly.
Subnautica was great tho
and it's gone under the radars (pun intended)
which is unfortunate, but the atmosphere there is something unbelievable
And I have played stuff like Bioshock, SOMA, Subnautica, Sunless Sea etc
also it has all the typical ailments of Quantic Dream games. So if you played any of their games, you can probably guess what that means (which means the flow of storytelling is jagged, and there is a bunch of immersion breaking stuff that would ruin your experience if you fixate on it), but outside of those ailments it's a very worthy experience.
yeah because actual realistic char designs is a trend w/ seinen manga
shōjo manga is usually that moe-esque designs where weird proportions can be common
Soma depressed the fuck out of me when I played
I gotta play bioshock still
Under the Waves is more depressing than that. SOMA has an outlet of having a decent amount of SciFi stuff
Oh fun
do it. It's easily top3 story-driven FPS of this century
I still have Bioshock OST in my playlist, almost 20 years later. It's that good
funny enough, I would say at least 30% of Fontaine's inspiration comes from Bioshock probably
yes, and creepy little girls
creepy little girls were all the rage at the time (FEAR, McGee's Alice, you name it)
not any specific titles but I recommend browsing the jump plus catalogue. It's shonen jump endorsed series that are only published on their site (as opposed to being printed in the physical magazine) . Ive noticed they tend to give jump plus authors a lot more leeway with genres/topics/pacing than they do the physical magazine, so you can find some p refreshing takes on the shonen formula (or stuff thats not a shonen at all) in there.
granted a lot of the popular ones from there just started getting anime adaptations in the past couple years, but theres still quite a lot that havent
also depending on your definition of no anime
I could give you some that have incomplete or really poor anime adaptations
that would work too
I was asking "no anime" mainly to avoid something I have already seen or have a potential to see anyway (simply to guarantee fresh titles that I have no knowledge about, but it's not a requirement really)
well magi is one of my all time favorite shonens
the anime only covered the begining part (which is the worst part, story is really slow)
but when the manga gets good it gets really good
the final arcs get really philosophical
hmmm, what do you mean the beginning part? I would say anime's start was great, like very good. And then it slowly deteriorated into a generic shonen, namely "story so far-> new enemies -> new enemy bosses -> our heroes acquire new skills against them" rinse and repeat.
like
everything the anime covered lol
magnostadt was the first really good arc imo
and that's the last arc in the anime
I was enjoying Magi a lot until Alibaba childhood arc (including it). Magnostadt I liked simply because I like the trope of Magic Schools. But everything after that was... kinda bad... imo.
oh you read the manga?
no, I am talking about anime
there was nothing after magnostadt tho
there was their take on three kingdoms (or chinese war vs mongols?)
that was still part of magnotstadt tho
and also the fights against giants
well yeah, it run parallel to Magnostadt story
i wouldnt say parallel, it transitioned into a war cuz of some politics stuff that i dont remember
like the school stuff was over at that point
it was cut short
the concept the author went with to end it was cool imo
just didnt have enough room to breathe
mhm
but yea other than that
I also remember really enjoying my kingdom binge
it has an anime that still does new seasons every once in a while but ive heard everyone say it's not good so I jumped straight to the manga
silent voice manga is a lot more detailed than the movie, I watched the movie after reading it and was displeased by just how much stuff they cut out
maybe it was the evil Jinny. Don't quite remember. I just barely remember that they had a sort of an epic fight in the ocean, and I think their opponent could suck the life out of everything and turn it into power or smth like that. Well, anyway, it was super epic and super boring
main things I liked about the arc was the whole artifical life subplot
and that it finally started to delve into the whole big historical mystery part of the lore
yeah that one was nice. I just didn't like the chinese subplot for the most part
naruhodone
im trying to think
wish I had a list of what I read lol
no one's mentioned berserk in here yet but I assume youve looked into it by now
ah
if you want a more grounded and adult take on romcom there's 365 days to the wedding
if you want pure depression there's boys abyss
there's jagaaaaan which is an action series but for adults , made by the same guy who made blue lock
yeah, Berserk was one of the first manga I have read
there was some mystery series I read I can't remember the name of
pain
if you like really well choreographed fights and aren't against nudity/sex jokes theres rosen garden saga
just be warned of the 18+ tag
It was Berserk, NANA, Gantz and Blam. And then Claymore. Damn, I started with all the dark stuff lol
it do be like that
ah right theres a new gantz series if you wanna read that
its been going since 2019 or so I think
if you like card games theres a really good grounded and realistic card game story for mtg , "destroy all of humanity, it can't be regenerated"
kakegurui manga has extremely good art, the plot quality is about the same as what the anime covered but just looking at all the art makes it worth it imo
choreographed fights sounds interesting. I would check that, I don't think I have seen that in manga, outside of sports boxing manga
it's a fighting tournament type deal
the art and the paneling are really good
but it's a lot of sex jokes and nudity so some people wouldnt like it
Kakegurui sounds fun, but don't think I am ready to appreciate it a third time after anime and dorama (honestly, live-action is great in its own right, I kinda enjoyed it even more than anime)
i never checked it out
well, it's a bit goofy, but after you get used to it, it's actually very enjoyable. Actors add their own flavor
the story itself is kinda meh imo, it's never managed to really make me tense in the same way kaiji did
kaiji is great
akagi comes close if not better in most departments
I am okay with that, if it's not out of the context. Though I don't remember watching or reading stuff with nudity besides Berserk and Daughters of Mnemosyne, but I enjoyed both.
yeah, basically Akagi got me into mahjong
I got to 3rd Dan on Tenhou, before leaving, lol
if you want slice of life with a really wholesome and heartwarming storyline there's the mute girl and her new friend
i think that's most of what I can think of from what I already read
I have a whole giant things of stuff to read if you want that lol
omg komi!!!
ah if you like shonens and pokemon there's this really really well made fan manga called festival of champions
so what's up with the new series? How is it related to the original one?
from what I read so far (im like 1 year behind)
it's not really related, it's just the same premise
of people being teleported to the gantz dimension after they die and they have to fight for their lives to survive
this time all the charas are from medieveal japan
honestly, MTG is the ONLY CCG I like, lol, so I might check it
Guys y’all liked aot ending?
spoiler please. I might be bored enough someday to binge it
also the artist for this series also did a bunch of shorter series adapting stories from 4chan
what do you think about Wicross?
it's p fun
ah
wicross was the other one I liked yes
but I never finished it
but this is really different
it's all taking place in real world 90s japan
and it references a lot of real world tcg play stuff that you dont see mentioned in other stories
huh, interesting. I basically was on the heels of 90's era of the MTG boom (Black Lotus, all the stuff, lmao). My personal involvment was during 2000-2010s, I even participated in a few local tourneys
keep it mind it was japan's experience of it
they didnt get the first few sets
but yea
it goes over stuff like having a locals, buying new sets, ruleset changes, banlist, having a meta, different deck archetypes, casual lingo refering to certain abilities
What do you think
it stayed true to the manga with a few hijinks
(I didnt care much for the ending but im also in the minority camp that didn't like the story since the timeskip)
i'll try to binge it sometime soonish just so I have a fresh memory of everything
I just need to ugh
finish mob psycho and the garden of sinners movies
I mean
I also didn’t like the timeskip as well
its not
anime wise s3 p2 is the pinnacle of the series
when the timeskip happens its just an eventual downfall
especially when it comes to eren’s character
i just wasnt a fan of the change in tone/story focus
pretimeskip it was a primal fight for survival + a lot of mysteries going around
then the timeskip came
it could’ve been handled better the arc was very reliant on shock value
shoved out the answers to every mystery all at once
and then it's all about politics now
paths was bullshit
but all of this doesn’t compare to the very last moment of the series
none of the readers weren’t prepared for how bad it was
oh yes, I remembered the ultimate nudity and piss jokes anime that I watched (well, if we discount nudity in Grand Blue). I think I got traumatized by it, but I enjoyed it too. Which is Prison School.
Oh thank God I'm not the only one
I honestly despise Eren as an adult
@edgy bone see we got another one
He's so fucking petty and unnecessarily stupid
what is a male
Never
sorta like that but with a lot more action
Ask your parents
As a kid, he was smart and doing whatever necessary to survive and keep everyone safe and tried not to sacrifice people
After he grew up he kinda just threw all that shit out the window and is willing to destroy the entire fucking planet to save like 5 people and doesn't even care how any of them feels about it because he's so fucking absorbed in his own emotions again to care about the people he's trying to care about
S3 P2 was just straight up peak, like he said
I think the premise of the world building after the time skip is interesting, and the message it's trying to convey about war and the darker side of it, but the execution and how the characters are moving through it
now that I think about it
I think every time a series did a timeskip I ended up liking it less lmao
or well
ok maybe not everytime
but a lot of the time
Ye
Same thing happened with fairy tail
They had a 7 year time gap at one point and after that the show got marginally worse
With maybe a few actually good arcs/episodes
But everything else was kinda boring
Not one piece baby
I do actually prefer pre timeskip one piece
the overall story pacing and paneling quality has gotten a lot more inconsistent since the timeskip
and theres a lot of subplots that get teased that end up not amounting to much
oda even admitted to a cutting a few of them short in sbs-es
Bro same
I know mappa style is so beautiful but i was so habited to the wit studio style
I rarely dislike anything but without the wit studio style, aot felt different
If it was mappa style all along, i’d have loved it for sure
try swapping to the manga style from wit
legit all characters look the same
I couldnt recognize mikasa for a good while
wit gave the series a vibrant direction such as the huge line strokes in their animation and making use of revolving cgi
Didn’t feel much connection/attachment to the characters in season 4
if mappa did the whole series it wouldn't be the same as it is now
Felt like a whole new cast idky
because mappa
This is exactly what i felt missing in season 4
even with the bd releases I still have issues with how production is handled
Its ok tho, so much better than not getting a release
What issues did u find?
I’d say introducing new characters at the very end is a bad move
I'll find my messages in an old server gimme a second
I think the whole children cast shouldn’t have been added
I didn’t like either gabi nor that blonde boy
All adults should’ve been fine
oh right the titan models were under-rendered, so they conspicuously stand out
I had issues with the lighting in most sets
very obnoxious usage of tweening I think
Do u think there was bad story too?
Clunky af😔
the gif is bad quality but you see the point
I mean mappa usually saves budget in such scenarios
And spend it all in finght scenes
every studio does that
So we can allow this
The thing is idk how to say it
But i rewatch aot s1-3 fights
But i never did for season 4
not as strong as the ohter seasons becuase their handling of shock value was much more impressive than what s4 and beyond has to offer
like its fine I'm open to their direction
but it gets more stale -> downhill till the end
There are just so many peak moments in older seasons
Like the betrayal is my fav so far
And finding out truth in basement too
Literally the only fight I can remember even a little bit is the one against the iron titan
For s4
I can't remember any other fight
Were there even other fights or was it all just politics
there were, its just that we don't care enough
True
the falco one on the frontlines when we get introduced to him for the first time
then the whole colossal shit at the end if you wanna count that
Okay the intro one was admittedly alright, it was a decent view into how titans were being used outside of destroying a group of humans on an isolated island
I had the impression before then that monkey man was like... THE titan
And then after that they slam us with all this other shit that never got mentioned prior and we need to understand and follow all of it immediately or you get lost, on top of all the politics they throw at you
you know one thing that I legit dont remember
idk if they didnt explain it or I just forgot/missed it
where did all the wall titans come from?
why are there so many colossals
or well slightly smaller than the colossal but still a lot bigger than average
Bro i just fucking realised geto is like eren
Kill other people for betterment of our people
so in a sense you could say im anime only now
haha
I dont even remember what the brain wanted tbh
Silimar philosophy
||I think kenjaku goals aren’t revealed in anime yet||
Maybe in manga idk
Uhm have u watched anime?
Like season 2
If no, then my msgs might spoil you so ignore
i read all the manga until the end of this arc
unless they changed stuff I should know everything that's in the anime
||Idk much about brain guy yet||
dont remember much about him
He wantes to kill all humans
other than he killed people to save some kids I think
Bcoz cursed spirits come from human’s emotions who cant control their negative emotions ir something like that
He decided to make the whole world “sorcerers only”
He was so focussed on this goal he decided his parents won’t be an exception and they would be killed too.
ye I dont remember all the details but when I was reading that I remember thinking that whole plan is im 14 and this is deep level of nonsense
what a spoiler galore, lol. Could you guys try at least not to spoil animes of the current season?
(in general that's my opinion of most things from that manga)
Ok i spoilered this season stuff
i talked about it with a friend before
a lot of the explanations this author writes
always come off as some artschool kid trying to sound smart
but they dont actually make any sense if you stop and actually think about what is being said
I like the whole “extreme opinion characters” in fiction bcoz obviously its bad in real life
The whole point of fiction is it’s not supposed to be compared to real life
i wasnt comparing it to real life
So i like characters like geto who will be obviously unpractical irl
It would only seem edgy irl
Geto’s ideals i mean
Or eren’s
Etc
eren is at least sorta interesting a bit with the whole being able to see the entire timeline thing
you'd think that'd put him in a unique position to make some decisions that wouldnt be reasonable otherwise
the fact that his action also kidna fall apart at the end is another matter
geto is just dumb
I dont remember the details exactly but
💀
wasnt the whole controlling your emotions thing something that you have to train for specifically?
like didnt that girl he was trying to save create a curse or smth
by his own logic he'd have to kill sorcerers too
or you know
he could train regular people how to do the whole emotion contro lthing
Normal people couldn’t do jujutsu due to no curse energy
i dont think thats jujutsu
No jujutsu = no negative curse energy release control
then again the series sucks at explaining its own rules
Like did u see how they explained naobito/choso/todo etc
In jjk? Its genetics
it's explained in the beginnig that "cursed energy" is something all sorcerers have right
it's basically just chakra from naruto (and I think this series is just modern naruto in a lot of ways)
Yup
Oh💀
Naruto minus power of freindship
but the actual practical use of cursed energy is everyone having 1 unique gimmick that they just spam all the time
it's never explained why that is
Yeah this is not explained
Not explained, correct
Doesn't Yuji learn more
I’d say its like
“Your gene carried this ct”
Bcoz many families have similar techniques
Like naobito and ||his son||
Okk i searched and apparently black flash isn’t a cursed technique
Its more like a “how to improve combat”
we talkin about jjk?
Yeah
Oh
Mb guys

Gege gonna explain it in one whole chapter, but nobody is going to properly understand it until some reddit user posts 8-10 paragraphs of how its an ingenious power system and how it makes gege such a great author
Will it get delayed again? Lol

So will there be season 2 after this, or is it the story finish?
The manga still ongoing, but idk if they want to make season 2
The material is more than enough for season 2
Hopefully by then there will be no more delays
just read the novels
I enjoyed them more than the anime
all the mind games are a lot more exciting when you have access to internal monologue from the characters
and a narrator explaining stuff
and the anime skipped a lot of the details
Is Pluto good?
Very much so
No, its amazing
i just watched the special part 2 for aot's ending and i
i can't tell
if near the end of the credits
if i should laugh hysterically
or cry
like
the little box next to the credits showing the slideshow of stuff
and just
when the german lyrics start blasting
it's just
so funny
but so depressing
okay that part after the end of the credits was really nice though
(i have no words for the actual special itself i'm not gonna lie, it's okay)
i will stand by what i said yesterday(?) that s3 p2 was peak aot
never watched AoT, is it worth it?
Yeah
it's what got a lot of people into anime back during early 2010's
it got so mainstream non-anime yt channels started talking about it
and back then talking about anime wasn't that common
it does a lot of stuff great (like worldbuilding, animation, anticipation) but its logic is a total mess
The fact u said this alr made me curious
my personal AoT experience be like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDHCLjuOzXY
so it is worth it, i just avoided watching it given everyone and their grandma were watching it
and i have been spoiled about major plot points so I haven't gotten into it until now, so i will give it a shot
i just have to finish all the shit that i havent
pretty much. Unless something flips you off
i finished the whole of naruto 2 years ago, might check this off the anime bucket list
I would say I have around the same opinion of AoT as Naruto
i ended up really enjoying Naruto to be honest
