I like all the continuity bits they added to the earlier arcs
I dont really like the character portrayals for the most part , they feel p americanized, it is especially noticeable with luffy in particular( also they turned garp into sakazuki which feels really random and out of place)
Im mixed with the arc rewrites, I kinda liked what they did with buggy and his crew,didnt like that they just wrote out the whole orange town part of the arc, syrup village rewrite is p good so far.
im sad theyre skipping over a lot of the early iconic moments
the camera work feels really wonky, idk why they keep zooming into the characters faces so much
the cgi and costumes feel kinda mid, you can tell theyre edited and/or unnatural, also all the generic extras in the background use pirates of the carribean style pirate clothing which looks really weird when juxtaposed to the goofy one piece designs

ah also just in general since this is a live action the characters and stories are trying to act like this is all very serious, but one piece is a goofy series, and seeing all these realistic actors trying to act serious dressed in goofy ass costumes doing goofy things feels really uncanny

sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt

making buggy into knockoff joker made his circus theme work with a serious performance

but zoro being edgy af (which isnt even accurate, he used to be a lot more talkative in the early arcs) while sporting that bright green hair that very clearly looks dyed feels weird

or kuro trying to act like the smart evil mastermind while wearing the suit with golden poops drawn on it and teleporting around with mid cgi also feels really weird

Yeee, the premise is basically ||a girl falling in love and her love dying, learning to move on and overcome her grief but it's portrayed in the funniest way possible- her obsession with a massive water-filled pool toy||

Like she kisses it and talks to it and everything which is incredibly sad in hindsight but while watching it it's kinda just like... People look at her like she's insane

And the ending doesn't fully feel deserved

Because she doesn't have any growth until the end

Basically the classic of everyone around her being supportive and telling her she needs to move on and everything and her being like "NO I WILL LIVE LIKE THIS FOREVER" and not doing anything to actually move on until the last 15 minutes of the movie
