You will really not like the protagonist in the first eight-ish episodes. This is intentional (the author was trying to show how low of a person they're starting as), but they did go a bit uncomfortably far making that point.

If you can make to "the big event" (trust me, you'll know what event it is ) around Ep 8ish, he gets much better after that. And the rest of the series is 100% worth it imo. Beautifully produced, wonderfully paced, and with some fantastic worldbuilding, character development, and animation as well

Definitely be careful if you have any sort of data caps. 4k footage is nice, but it will devour your data usage

(it's also nice even for stuff not in 4k, since it basically uses the extra bandwidth to "lock in" the data that might otherwise get compressed/lost in transmission)
