this is kinda a tough issue especially the nose part

3D isn't like drawing, where if you want to have the nose more visible in this angle then you just draw the nose
cuz outline in 3D doesn't work the same as outline in 2D

it's a lot more complicated to explain cuz the way Endfield achieve their modeling effect is very different from GI and Wuwa

Wuwa, GI, HSR achieve the flat anime face using a method that allows them to manipulate the shape of the light and shadow on the character's face
Wuwa make a great use of this method by making is so that there is always have this triangle shape light/shadow beside the character's nose so it will always standout, they also painted a lil line on it just to be sure

But endfield doesn't use the same method to get the flat face effect

because the need realistic light simulation for the PBR textures to work properly
but if the anime style model is place under realistic lighting, then it will look like the image on the left because of the shape of the anime model, which would look uncanny
so their method, is to simply remove all the remove the Normal features on the face entirely

Normal, in 3D terms, to put it simply is basically the direction of the surface is facing
For example a ball's Normal Surface is face all directions which is how you see the ball shape
but if the ball's Normal Surface is all facing 1 direction, then it still simple look like a 2D circle

so they basically uses that logic to make the character's face look flat in Endfield.
the down side of this method is the face will always look flat no matter how many lights you shine on it
so they cannot get the distinct shadow that is supposed to be on the nose

but the moment you slap a light hair on them it just...ends up having a different effect like as if they're two different games

the blend between realistic textures with anime looking character is just perfect
