Next is dendro, Apep has to die to be replaced and Nahida saved her so she's just there now, in the desert wilderness doing nothing.
Then there's electro with no known dragons or lore whatsoever in the games history.
Then there's Geo Azhdaha is just the same as Apep, he never died he was only sealed.
Then there's Anemo that has only Dvalin currently.

So amongst all these dragons lore. Where are the returns gonna come from?

Xiuhcoatl is already known to eventually be reincarnated one day as his name card says for when you get a reputation reward in Natlan. He could be born among the humans since the Pyro dragons have devolved.

Apep was recently cured of her abyssal corruption and has approved of letting Nahida rule over Sumeru for the time being.

Azhdaha says to Zhongli that they will one day meet again even if he's currently gone mad from erosion.

Dvalin has also been cured from abyssal corruption and is coexisting peacefully with Mondstadt

Xbalanque has already stated that "they" will return in his quote about Neuvillette. He clearly wasn't just referring to Neuvi there so unless you don't know how to read then he means the dragons are returning.

The Electro and Cryo Sovereigns are complete unknowns at this point so it's impossible to make any judgements on them

On one hand it’s an anime game

It’s going to be stylized to reflect that. And the fittings are more pulled from inspiration than actually trying to be 1:1 with them (for better or worse) with more toony exaggerations to accompany them. But things like Varesa’s skirt isn’t even that reaching for the sphere either way. It’s just largely amalgamated with a semi-casual/cutesy fit too.

You’ve more than likely never seen a biker dressed up like Mavuika either, or seen Middle Easter scholars dressed exactly like Faruzan or Alhaitham.

The Traveler is a "human" also as opposed to a pure elemental being like Nibelung, elements which are poisonous to the Abyss and vice versa
My theory is that Nibelung was essentially turned into one of those fungus zombies like cordyceps and that the Abyss was feeding off of his body. That's why Kukulkan says his body was a "breeding ground" for darkness

The only descender that has the ability to counteract the Abyss is the Traveler who is a different species from Nibelung and Phanes. Phanes has already shown an aversion to the Abyss so they lack the same ability that the Traveler does. The only thing that says all descenders have the ability to counteract the Abyss is you.

No Enjou in the Three Realms event explicitly says that the Abyss is poisonous to all dragons and elemental beings which has been corroborated by every Dragon we have seen being injured and weakened when they take in the Abyss. Xiuhcoatl had to make a specific kind of Phlogiston device in order for it to counteract the Abyss too.

The Abyss has no "truth" the only characters that say it is the truth are those who are already Abyss users. It's like a cult member telling you that their cult is the best and truest way of thinking.

Skirk's species didn't live with the Abyss. They just had the capacity to use the Abyss which was enough for the other species to destroy them out of suspicion due to how feared the Abyss is. Skirk's planet was a normal grassy plains instead of an abyssal landscape.

It's more like how insects will use the bodies of animals to incubate their eggs that explode out of them when they hatch, The Abyss was feeding on Nibelung's body and corrupting him, making him "corrupted" and even "pitiful"

The Angels are pretty weak the Abyss also since they're also elemental beings mostly. It's only humans who seem to have the ability to use the Abyss to their advantage since they aren't as elemental as the Gods or dragons but they can still easily be corrupted by the Abyss. The Sinners only got so strong because Irmin previously used the power of the Abyss Twin as a "refinery" pretty much.

When does Albedo use khemia to convert the Abyss into light realm energy and also the entirety of the Sumeru plot line was that the Ley lines failed and got corrupted by the Abyss and had to get fixed by Nahida.
Nibelung didn't really make the rest of dragon kind. He was just the first born dragon representing the planet of Teyvat itself whilst his kin were subsequently born from other things such as the Sea, the Primal Flame, etc. He is just the most light realm being as opposed to the rest of them being only aspects of the Light Realm.
The only description we get of how Nibelung got corrupted was that he was "reckless" and had the "forge of light" consumed by The Abyss so I don't think it was a willing process.

more like i've been working 11am-7:30pm almost every day nonstop for almost a year so i was used to waking up at 9:30am to get ready for my shifts and today i'm working 7am-12pm on thanksgiving holiday so i've been awake 4.5 hours earlier than usual LOL

every now and again i take up an opening shift, at least this time i was actually exhausted the night before and fell asleep at 9am, albeit i woke up several times, including at 5am when my alarm was set for 6am 😭

But for genshin specific case they called teyvat world at the edge of spiral arm so I don't know if this spiral arm represent galaxy or something else

However the thing with hoyo is that they have very different term for "world"
Specifically in honkaiverse (which genshin is part of allegedly) a world can be as small as a planet or as big as entire galaxy which is where the main doubt comes about
