Keep in mind these are based on my opinions, some people may argue differently and thats fine. If anyone has additional questions, feel free to ask.

Where best to spend Waveplates?
In my opinion, the best place to spend Waveplates early game is on Weekly Bosses and World Bosses. Not only do they give materials required to ascend characters, weapons and talents but also weapon and character EXP on top of that, compared to the dedicated EXP Challenges. Tacet Fields are also not worth farming because they give extremely low amounts of EXP and Tuners but can be cleared the same as bosses without spending Waveplates for the 1st time clear rewards.

Should I level Echoes early?

I believe it's best to leave all Echoes at +0 until you reach Data Bank Lvl 15 / Union 30, where you can start farming 5-star Echoes. For the early game, just equipping the 5pc effect for 40% DMG Bonus of a respective Elemental Sonata Set is the most stats you can find and will generally be good enough to carry a character until 5-star Echoes are unlocked. You will also be able to use 5 Echoes of the same rarity into 1 of a higher rarity later on, but only +0 Echoes, further incentivising saving them for later. For mainstats, ATK% and DMG% are better than CRIT early game due to the small amounts of CRIT mainstats give at +0 early game.

How should I gear Supports?
Due to the lack of buffers currently, strong buffs can instead be found in Echoes. Bell-Borne Geochelone is a Weekly Boss, providing 50% DMG Reduction and a 10% DMG Boost to all teammates. It's also part of the Rejuvenating Glow Sonata Effect, granting 15% ATK for 30s to all teammates with it's 5pc. This can prove to be not only offensively powerful but also defensively, taking half the DMG you usually would. For characters that can't usually heal, they can still heal to proc this effect with the Originite weapon series, healing the wielder after a specific condition is met.

Who is the best 5-star to get from the Selector?
Verina - ATK% Buff, DMG Deepen Buff, Healer, Death Prevention and Coordinated Attacks, all tied into one character. With the lack of buffers in this game, and the requirement of 3 teams for Tower of Adversity, she will stay relevant for a long time and slots into basically any team as the 3rd teammate.

Encore - Basic Attack oriented DPS, very easy to play and one of the highest current damage outputs in the game currently. She doesn't have any standout teammates currently, meaning she has a lot of room to grow as well. Pairs well with Sanhua for Basic ATK DMG Deepen.

Calcharo - Another very strong DPS centered around his Forte Heavy Attacks. Like Encore he has very high dmg output, but REALLY wants Yinlin for a 2nd teammate, otherwise theres not really anyone else to play with him. For "optimal damage" he is quite reliant on swap cancelling his Forte Heavy Attacks, allowing you to attack on another character whilst the animation plays out.

Jianxin - Extremely good grouping for AoE Tower floors. Alright damage for a Hybrid slot with healing, shielding and DMG Reduction. Has long animations and generally doesn't fit the main carry role. Has Liberation DMG Deepen on Outro Skill but no one really needs that right now.

Lingyang - Provides a unique flying playstyle for a DPS dealing decent damage, although not really on par with Encore or Calcharo for raw damage to my knowledge. Flying can help him avoid attacks and is quite simple to just button mash with but the flying can make dodging annoying. Has some potential to juggle weaker enemies in midair to avoid being hit. Pairs well with Sanhua again for Basic ATK DMG Deepen.

In my opnion, Encore or Calcharo are great pickups to start off with, whereas someone like Verina may be nicer to grab later on when youre tackling the Tower or prefer a 4-star DPS. Jianxin and Lingyang are generally less recommended but still great pick ups if you want to play them.

@dense elbow I was saying regarding WuWa, this is the review from my friend, 2 hours in or 3, he quit shortly after the beginner banner and getting that ying yang woman. His review is that the game feels rather flat?
Like, the combat just didn't really feel as attractive or hook him in enough when trying around. Different strokes I know, and he admits it might be a bit of bias due to playing Genshin, but at that time for him Genshin's reactions hooked him in already

idt jianxin rly has main carry potential but mortefi is just that good that it should do you well for the majority of stuff rn

considering im using encore whos mainly basics and hes still doing well

Mortefi excels at buffing heavy ATK DMG with his "Deepen" Outro which acts as an immense multiplier thanks to the special "Deepen" scaling mechanic of which Jianxian's Primordial Chi Sprial is entirely Heavy.

When playing Jianxin as a damage dealer, she demands high field time and Mortefi takes up very little making the pair a decent combo of burst and buffs with enough room to fit in a support. Mortefi's ultimate unleashes a slew of Coordinated Attacks over its duration but requires a high hit counter to maximize its effects. During her Forte Gauge, Jianxin attacks over 3 times per second easily maxing out this requirement. Mortefi's ultimate also fires 2 Coordinated Attack instead of 1 when the triggering hit is a heavy attack all of which of course the entire channel of Jianxin's Forte is.

you get 10 stamina per char in tower
each part of tower has 4 floors which use 1/2/3/4 stamina each
so u can either use the same char all the way thru one side, or u can swap them out on 1 floor if u want to use them on another side at some point

but for the 1st tower its just 1 side 4 chambers
