#Java Activity Editor and XML Layout Editor.
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
how do you think edits would persist after you change the Activity's .xml or .java file by changing the Views or Blocks?
that's not really easily doable, and I don't think wouldn't even be of too much use
see this:
We'll remove the Direct Source Code Editor with Sketchware Pro v6.4.0, as it's been obsoleted a long time ago by Command Blocks, and starting with v6.4.0, replaceable generated files in Java Manager. For more on them, please read some changelogs of beta versions. (Or the official stable update changelog
)
Reasons for that include:
- It just simply copying a file to another location constantly (as long as it's on), which is very heavy on I/O
- Its changes always getting lost/being hard to carry over to another version of the to be edited file
- 2 more efficient methods to edit generated files already existing (1 even since v6.3.0)
Please make sure to switch to those new methods if you want to keep modifying generated files with Sketchware Pro v6.4.0.

i need to modify the methods in the MainActivity because the default more block doesn't have the feature to have custom parameters and alot more.
i also need to have an xml layout editor, cus I can't add a 2nd fab or a some android layout that isn't available in sketchware pro
