I always use rc05-api26 and snapshot .I mean sketchware Pro release app's build.gradle file can edit user and upgrade dependencies. sir like code assist .

there's not much use in being able to edit a file freely that's only needed when you export the project

Sketchware does not use gradle to build apk.
