it seems the server is going to be inactive(5-10 active person each day excluding admins and mods), idk if it will work, but I have ideas like sketchub jam, where it needs to create a app/game using sketchware hosted by sketchub, the theme will not be same theme hosted here like you are giving a specific app to do for a contest (screen mirror, whatsapp sticker etc.), instead use a theme/tags/keywords and a category(game/app) and let the contestant think out of the box, why?
- beginners will not intimidate since they are free to think what they should do base on categories (for sure most of them will create a network app, but we should follow a rubrics for uniqueness, the more unique your app/game, the higher score in uniqueness, though uniqueness is not the only items rubrics to be followed)
- we can discover/scout a person base on their work
and for sketchub team, the app/game submitted will be tag as private automatically (only admin and owner can see the submission) until the deadline(to avoid copy/pasting codes and copying ideas), will automatically tag as public after deadline + leeway for late submissions(1 day could do) but those user that joined/click the join button before the deadline can late submit (though it might deduct the score for them for fairness to those who submit on time)
and a week of mass voting to other social media(not all user have access to discord) to be fair to those who vote, upon testing the app and voting, they will gain access to the app they vote (they should take a screenshot of what they love on the app they vote to verify that they try the app), voters can only vote 2-4 times or less, after voting period, those project submitted will be private forever (only the one who vote, admin and the contestant have access of the project)
IDK if it will work, cause I know its a pain specially for sketchub team
