It's much more viable for the Fabric modpacks to be published on Modrinth as Modrinth was born from the Fabric community and that's why many Fabric developers publish to Modrinth. Overrides can be used as long as licenses are respected, using consent where needed. For Forge developers it's a secondary platform.

Modrinth is a third party platform for many mod developers.
If the mods are uploaded on Modrinth its one thing but most of them aren't and with that Modrinth won't give any ad revenue to developers of curseforge mods.

and curseforge is just getting more and more shitty

# cinder quiver modrinth supports curseforge mods

thats not the problem. Its a third party platform for most and it probably won't give mod developers their rightful revenue.
Even if curseforge is shitty sometimes it still is much much bigger than modrinth and even then with most of the mods being uploaded on curseforge they all have to allow the distribution outside of curseforge.
