theres no point since there are a lot of mobs that do a lot of damage anyway, until you get diamond or netherite armor doesnt do much

It "significantly lacks" because we don't have many chapters yet. Plus, if we're about to start doing Aether, we might have access to more later on.
Only reason you'd be saying this is if you completely ignored upcoming quests. And there's a LOT planned already.
