#Modpack: Prominence 2 Suggestion: Rebalance sta...

i will say this, i am yet to have met anyone who has enjoyed the night lich fight
While I was working on a base and upgrading gear, as well as a decent XP source, I ended up at around talent level 21.
My friend is at talent level 14(?) and the boss had around 1000 HP. The WITHER had 334 HP.
everyone keeps saying the exact same thing you're mentioning here
"use flying mounts if you are melee" does not work if you are using fast weapons
the range does not reach for daggers, and the sickles BARELY do
the mount hitbox physically bumps into the lich while getting close enough
the Phoenix-thing has too little HP/defense to be used, and the dragons are too large
and again, a near max enchanted NETHERITE LONGBOW was doing around 11 damage on a crit
I ended up just having to slowly cheese the fight by setting my spawn in the tower than just rushing the boss, dying, and rushing again
because otherwise it would regen back to full
even without better combat and the health scaling, I don't see how anyone would like this fight
seriously i kept running out of arrows because his movements were so random and fast, not to mention all of the surrounding mobs constantly bothering me. that i had to go look for local skeletons to kill for more arrows
I had endless quiver, and still struggled to even hit half of my shots because of how small the dude's hitbox is and the way it moves
and I regularly snipe moving targets from around 40 blocks away in MC
I haven't fought the night lich for a few updates, but when I did have to fight him his flight was so tedious to deal with I had to go through three mounts to deal with him using the wickpiercer as I ran out of arrows at the beginning of the fight
He also always stays out of attack distance
now imagine him with health and defense scaling
I would reset my talent tree before doing allat
does that reduce the scaling?
I heard using your skill points does yes not sure if it's a permanent effect though
hmm
but yeah, a health/defense scaled wither having 334 HP while this guy had nearly a thousand with MORE defense is just painful
I'll definitely try this though
Bosses of destruction are definitely busted
especially the decaying king
had to go all dark souls on him rolling behind him
fire resistance potion nullifies like half of his attacks
eat a god apple or something
1 of those is enough to make the fight a breeze
him and his one shot attack while im poor went crazy
well, you were poor, so there's your reason
personally i wiped him with manasteel armor lol
as long as your behind him he's easy
his fire is nothing cause I always get anti fire something
decayed king was a pushover for me
definitely depends on the build
I have extremely high attack speed and mobility
as well as the cross necklace
so I could tactically touch the lava in order to i-frame through his heavy attacks
decayed king isn't BOMD though
yeah its MSW
i dont think its the damage they do, all their attacks are insanely easy to see. flying bosses tend to just be harder and more annoying to kill, i ve personally killed night lich and gauntlet yesterday and i kinda agree that a little shaving off the hp could work in making them a bit easier, especially since they are beginner bosses
I wasn't complaining about the damage at all
it's the health and defense
nobody is saying anything about the damage they do, that much is negligable, its the fact that they are so tanky while being so annoying to hit and a tedious fight.
This is incorrect I beat this with prop 4 diamond
as mentioned previously, this post isnt directed towards the difficulty of boss, but rather how annoying it is to kill with it's random and irratic movement patterns and tanky health pool
none of the bosses have random movement patterns
ngl the night lich needs some updating
what level were you
also, what difficulty and were you on current patch
like 35 on patch 3.08
there is no 3.0.8 patch though?
Oh my bad 3.07
Youre like 4 versions behind
