Not sure it really fits the modpack, twilight forest is generally very whimsical and mysterious and this is supposed to be a horror modpack

If you don’t know the Twilight Forest mod pack entering that realm will keep you on your toes because you know what Fear Nightfall usually has in store

As much as i LOVE TF, unless there are datapacks, resource packs or addons to make it more "horror" themed i don't see it being added to FN. In it's default state its too OP and it needs a ridiculous amount of tweaking to keep it in line with the theme of the pack.

LPS devs would have to retexture the whole mod to fix how peaceful and cheery the atmosphere of twilight forest is

#

Also, most people are gonna know twilight forest man, its among the most iconic mods in minecraft history.

# long sage Hang on what from twilight forest is op?

pretty much everything in it.. from the fact that it doesn't have a day/night cycle so it would either be peaceful and everyone will speed run to base in there or it would just be spamming mobs non stop and no one would want to go there, to the plethora of items that offer crazy effects or OP mechanics like the uncrafting table, gear and armor that make you immune to specific damage types and also that it has the most OP ore spawn density (almost up to x3) than any other dimension mod in Modded history. a trip to the smallest of ore hills will guarantee you with enough resources to carry you even through mid-game, thus making overworld exploration and mining useless. Plus everything else you said above me.

TF is usually included in chill and kitchen-sink packs for a reason.

#

you need to change A LOT of things to make it fit in any other style of pack

If you go in there with diamond armor and a diamond sword you will sweep the entire dimension

Knightly gear has additional damage to (un)armored opponents, for one.

zombies are armored, for perspective

The bosses.

so the bosses have no armor rating

trim warren

Also there's a ball and chain that can break blocks.

#

Okay, if they have no armor rating? Knightmetal Axe.

long sage
#

if you hit the bosses with a weapon that does 10 damage, it will deal exactly 10 damage?

#

also the wiki doesnt say how much of a damage boost it is, is that known?

trim warren
#

Probably a few additional damage points.

#

It's defintely noticable though.

#

Also the Knightmetal pickaxe is Diamond tier.

#

This should tell you something.

Knightmetal Pickaxe being a straight upgrade to diamond using nothing but killing mobs and/or finding the scraps/ingots would make Twilight Forest ruin a good portion of the balance of FN.

#

i dont remember fear nightfall making finding diamonds that terribly much more difficult

#

anyway, i dont personally think that even with these details that the balancing of twilight forest is the reason it shouldnt be included, i think its more of the fact that it just doesnt fit the modpack

Twilight forest mod is a unfinished mod, and it's very lacking in terms of content

#

Its been this way for years

it can fit the theme of the pack, it just needs ridiculous work to adjust it to that theme and the Devs probably have more important work to do like adding the full quests progression and add/update the missing mods that add the relevant context for those quests. We're still playing this without Herobrine and The Aether for example. I'm guessing all suggestions (including mine) that add or modify content (and are not of critical importance) will be reviewed after the pack has some stable footing in terms of content.
