We won't remove a mod due to one spell. We can remove the ability to obtain the spell though. Also, fury of a thousand fists artifact is taken directly from archon. There's a lot of useful things in that mod as well.
It makes sense, so it would actually be more correct to modify some things in the mod, like changing the aqua shield effect for normal resistance, and reducing the damage of certain spells.
I didn't know about the artifact, I really just thought it was there to be another magic mod
while archon isn’t a super important mod, FOATF is an upgrade of the fist of fury, and Null is an important boss which comes from archon.
I’ve been recently suggesting balancing ideas to the developer and this will be another one of them, i’m not going to remove a mod as important as this one simply because a spell is overtuned
@nocturne bronze I think that swapping it to use resistance would be great, like Resistance 3 or 4 for less time than 15 secs though
I was thinking about how to balance it, but what about increasing the mana cost to something like 100?
is resistance 4 still strong enough to make the spell useful?
in vanilla that’s an 80% DR so yes definitely
that would also be great
mana isn’t a huge issue anyway because you get it quite often
but for a spell like that it def needs a full mana bar used

This spell i can see becoming pretty useful at resist 4 with higher mana cost
and maybe a capacity scroll as well so you can cast it twice
Swapping aqua shield for resistance seems like the best choice, however, a cooldown (increasing the amount of mana needed for example) would also be effective, or simply reducing the duration of the spell, a fight against a frost build is horrible, as the the guy will have immunity to any physical damage 100% of the time of the fight, which I believe is the problem.
