#Modback: BMC4 Suggestion: End City Spawnrates /...
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
this isn't really intended but sort of a mod compatibility issue, there are some blocks that the end city isn't spawnable on but probably should be.
will take a look at it for next update
would be very good... when this update comes out would it be possible to get more end citys in already created worlds? (so that they would have a normal spawnrate in not generated chunks)
that won't be possible unfortunately, there's no way to add structures to generated chunks like that. I would recommend just regenerating your end dimension (people don't usually build there anyway)
if you don't want to wait for the update, you should be able to increase end city spawn rate a decent amount by placing this file into /config/paxi/datapacks/ on the server
oh you can regenerate the end dimension? didnt know that
with that config there should be a normal end city spawn rate right?
it doesn't quite fix the issue where end cities can't spawn in some places, but in the places they can spawn they'll be much more common
it definitely helps
ok thx so much for the quick help 🫶
yeah just delete the DIM1 folder from the world folder and restart
make a backup first
thank you sm
sorry for asking again, do you have a ressource where i can look up what each field in the jsons do or some kind of documentation? im not really new to programming so i should be good with some sort of documentation. i would like to test which "spacing" changes the spawnrate to a spawnrate that fits for me. if you dont have any docs would be very appreciatet if you could explain the following fields
"structures": [
{
"structure": "minecraft:end_city",
"weight": 1
}
],
"placement": {
"type": "minecraft:random_spread",
"salt": 10387313,
"spacing": 8,
"separation": 4
}
it's just number of chunks - "spacing" is the size of each square of placing attempts, separation is the minimum distance between two structures. spacing should always be higher than separation
check out https://misode.github.io/worldgen/structure-set/ and just paste in the full contents of that structure set json
if you set them much lower than that you'll get end cities basically overlapping - but then you'll also see just how much of the area isn't spawnable for end cities at all
figured it out
yeah DIM-1 is the nether
sorry
ok
DIM-1 is nether
lmao
https://misode.github.io/worldgen/structure/ in my understanding i can change the behaviour in which bioms an end city can spawn with this? would adding the better end biomes here help or is the problem really the blocks where they can spawn on?
will the end city spawn in chunks that I havent loaded in the next update?
it’s the blocks yeah, not the biomes
otherwise that would have been a much easier fix
yeah if you haven’t loaded the chunks yet the new generation will apply
Just so yk it improves it but the hotfix is still not even near to vanilla behaviour. Also if you decide to reset the end you should also remove the part of the level.dat file for the end fight otherwise the return portal and the portals in general wont be generated
I think I'll wait for the update and load in a different part of the end
since I think its dropping today
You can find dragon eggs in strutures dragons are a good alternative to elytra
yeah we got 2 rn
Update with end city fix comming soon or taking some time?
I cant ride my friends dragon tho
when is the update droping?
now
