- laggy
- buggy
- elocin would have to remake all the quests again
i mean if they fix the issues would be great to have vs ftb
true
whats been causing said issues
but then you would still have to remake the quests
there may be a mod or program that cna help translate the quest files
the lag from what ascens said
maybe? if there is good possibility maybe not
yeah im asking whats causing the lag like is it just bad coding efficiency
https://modrinth.com/mod/prometheus this is really cool
👍
They were initially in Prominence, I kinda beta tested them when they initially released it. It wasn't great. It was buggy, not friendly at all, caused more trouble for players than it should have, and it was extremely lacking in features.
I would give it a second chance if it actually improved but it seems to only be updated for newer versions and is kinda abandoned. I guess the Modrinth team just commissioned the mods to be made but not improved further, sadly it's nowhere near FTB Quests, and I personally despise the FTB suite of mods and would def switch if only it was better
They did also provide me with a tool to convert from FTB Quests into their mod, but it didn't work great and had to redo more than half of the quests anyway so yeah, a switch would even be less likely due to most of the quests needing to be redone
im completely in the dark as to the difference in quest file formatting between the two mods but i would assume that it may be possible to just make a new program to convert between the mods more simply depending on how simple or complex said files are written
also to avoid spamming threads: https://modrinth.com/mod/dynamic-lights
this may be a nice addition for lighting, utility, and immersion
i like lucent better tbh
shaders do the same thing so idrc for it
they already did that, but they don't have the same features that FTB Quests has, so half of the quests don't even work and have to be replaced for an alternative
It's a difficult task to get started in making quests as well, imagine having to redoing them all again, in the same category, layout, and more.
It takes hours, and using a different quest system where it doesn't seem beginner friendly, at least for me, it'll probably take a long while to get used to.
this right here is one of the main reasons I want to make a questing mod
