Agreed, not even a week in and me and my mate already have god knows how much stuff thanks to these compasses, they are way too cheap
I think the nature's compas as is should stay, but I agree the explorer compas needs a recipe change to make it not as easy to obtain
I think natures compass is fantastic and should always be cheap but like everyone else i do agree that structure compasses are too cheap
It would be different if you could not find cobwebs in chests and stuff but yeah

agreed with this for balancing, explorers compass is pretty op when you consider how valuable certain structures are
I think if you had to get different types of saplings and logs for it from different trees and whatnot would make sense, just slightly more of a challenge to get early game.
i honestly dont want it to be any more expensive than it is, i find it extremely useful at mitigating a process that takes dozens of hours and ends up being really boring
Not all that difficult to explore a bit early game, I think it's possible to balance it out evenly so you don't have to continuously explore for specific items. Minecraft itself really is a game about exploration, but having the ability to make the Nature's Compass at the start negates that element. Really does make sense to have these items early-mid game level.
That's why a good recipe for it would be different logs or saplings in my opinion, good balance in difficulty though it just depends what type of logs and saplings.
