im downvoting for a few reasons 1 some might not like it and come asking about how to disable it, 2 it will make the game run worse (i know theres settings that will tradeoff how good it sounds with performance but its still a hit to it) and 3 as you already did since its a clientside mod people can just add it themselves

It also allows you to further customize what level each sound is including for each type of sound that a mob or otherwise has. tbh I've not had any performance problems with it
I found this mod through TheNeoCubist funny enough

havent tested on this pc but i know when i had my shitty laptop i would have to turn the mod off or i would not be able to hold 60fps
