#Modpack: Fear Nightfall Mod: Consecration Link...

No way, there’s already difficult tanky mobs that spawn with these hoards 💀💀
☝️ yeah i have to agree...pack's already difficult on normal as it is...
plus any new mod that adds new mobs for spawning introduces more problems than immersion/challenge..
It doesn't add new mobs, just changes how you have to fight some
exactly....they are already OP in their own regards!! zombies can 3-4 shot you even with armor on, and skeletons are especially annoying and infuriating to fight so yeah..we're good on that department...
honestly i would have taken it we could add only the "positive" changes this mod adds just to take off the edge from an already tough as nails fighting system but making mobs even more harder to fight while getting those changes...nah i'm good i think...
Maybe, I'm weird, but I think the modpack needs more difficulty
For something called "fear nightfall", night really isn't that scary
Having undead resist all damage but fire and smite helps make them seem like a real threat, because without it there are no mobs that pose a challenge (except maybe creepers coupled with large enough swarms)
then you haven't played the pack enough it seems...
we got Spore which is a progressive infestation-mutation and spread mod meaning the more the world is "active" the worse it gets if left unchecked..
we got a multitude of mobs in all aspects of the game that can kill you very easily no matter what armor you wear..
we got aquatic mobs that make water travel/base building almost impossible...
we got the cave dweller + all vanilla mobs that make cave exploring/mining almost impossible.
we got new mob additions to the nether which makes it very dangerous now to explore prior to older updates and in general the majority on the mobs the game offers are either OP tanks with 50+ hearts or are glass cannons dealing 1-shot damage and die easily IF you manage to strike them first and ALSO most modded mobs don't go away when the morning starts making you waste a big portion of that 40 mins downtime dealing with them if you're not properly prepared...
Also keep in mind that not everyone has a super computer to play this so having a choppy/laggy experience is an additional challenge on top of everything else!!
also the pack's difficulty is on normal by default...if you want a challenge you can up it to hard or super-hard..
I play on hard with better combat and it's absurd how easy it is. Spore is negligible, by the time it becomes a threat you've already beaten the storyline. Siege armor makes you damn near invulnerable, there are no threats in the ocean (deeplings, drowned, and fish aren't threats at all), cave dweller is literally a fuckin breeze to handle if you have an iron sword and shield. No, the game is not "impossible", its incredibly easy as long as you play with a modicum of intelligence
The modpack has no real threats besides insanity, and even that's easy to deal with
For a horror modpack, the scariest thing I've seen was the man from the fog, and they removed him. There are no real threats, base building is easy once you learn the enhanced AI, and you can camp or cheese every mob in the game
And I'm running the game on a $150 HP laptop with my render distance set to 5, and I'm still not having issues
Are you by any chance playing all of this on singleplayer?
then our server must be doing sm wrong cause i have fully enchanted Grave armor with a regen 3 tarrot card on me and it's still hard as steel nails to survive out in the night....
Damn
Siege armor (whichever one is from tenebrous) is better than grave armor as it has a higher toughness rating. Enchanted with prot 2, the regen tarot card, and the +10 armor card make you invincible. Your only worry now is armor durability, and keeping a spare set of armor in your backpack is a good idea. Having plenty of building blocks for emergencies is also good, and golden food for healing and sanity is a must.
Always carry potions, and when playing with consecration you can craft a Consecration Potion which weakens undead mobs and grants resistance to living mobs and players.
Once you understand the hitboxes of the tenebrous lands mobs and the enhanced AI the game becomes a cakewalk, and your primary focus becomes resource gathering and expanding and securing your base
I live in the ocean, so the only mobs that can get to me are phantoms (not sure why they spawn), spiders, and a few spore mobs
Usually though, the turrets I have set up clear those out for me. Hexerai and Biomancy are MUSTS for progression, Hexerai has a lot of op items and Biomancy weapons are absolutely crazy
