It doesnt make villagers any more powerful, or less difficult to get what you want, and as said its configable enough it should be do able to make it difficult to get to/use, the main purpose would be to keep from needing to wrangle your traders into small holes just to keep them from wandering to and fro constantly. Thats it
it makes the idea of using villagers simpler, i enjoy the pain + vanilla way of moving villagers, i get where you are coming from you can add it to youre own game but i wouldnt see this existing in the offical releases
Ok, thats one perspective and I respect that, but it is 100% a possibility to make it so it needs a netherite ingot to make one of these things to still give early insentive to do it the vanilla way. But for the people like me where if I have to move another villager I will commit a war crime in minecraft. It'll make us less likely to decide we're done trying to progress wouldnt you agree?

well easy villagers adds the ability to pick villagers up
unless there can be a quest to allow that i’m not so sure
but i suggest waiting for a mod / dev to eee this
for sure, and while its true it adds picking them up what are you gonna do with them without the trading station to put them in if not configurable, shove them in a chest to be forgotten?
you can still take them around and move them with far more ease
take a entire village into a backpack
Which, is a fair point, but on the other side of that coin, some people (me included) will instead just lure a freshly spawned zombie villager or two into their house instead to cure, removing that travel distance too
mmm fair enough
