#Better combat pickaxes

This is a nice sounding idea but assigning a weapon a better combat animation makes it no longer able to break grass or cobwebs which might be a little annoying for pickaxes.
It’s not the intended tool for either of those things but when I’ve done this before it felt pretty annoying because you usually just keep holding your pickaxe for everything while breaking blocks
then it’s very frustrating when you can’t
you might be right but
i used sword to break cobwebs but there was a spider in cobwebs
still doing combat animation but
if you back a little you can break it
btw why you need pickaxes to break cobweb ?

hmm if there way to make combat mode and mining mode
like epic fight
i know tools aren't suppose to use as weapon but
some of them can be as a weapon
but i know its frustrating that breaking block and you can't because someone is behind you is kinda annoying .
idk if there way to make tools that has combat mode or mining mode

You could tag individual item ids as either a “weapon” pickaxe that can swing through grass, or as a “tool” pickaxe that can break anything
Not sure if that would be a great solution
At the moment, Silent Gear pickaxes are considered as weapons with better combat animation, no? I can't use Silent Gear Paxel or Hammer to break grass at all, or the block underneath the grass, if I click through the grass.
Apparently there’s a configurable swing through grass blacklist actually
I thought it was just coded specifically for farmers delight knives

So would pickaxes/paxels having better combat animations if not targeting a block but being allowed to break grass be a good compromise?

shovel is from tetra
its does better combat animation
when you try to aim at grass but far you can't break it
but being infornt or shift you can break it
tetra shovel has 3 models : mace or spear or staff . that why its does better combat because of that

I guess you could theoretically just do all pickaxes
not sure if that would cause any major issues
I mean I can just do a regex for “pickaxe” if you think every pickaxe should have a combat animation
just thought it might be a smaller list of combat-specific pickaxes

shovels will later if passive skill tree add shovel skill
rn creating new world and gonna pick all pickaxes in game even silent gear .

this all tags on each pickaxes in entire game
silent gear is kinda easy too
tetra its might need to be config in tetra combat not in better combat .
