That completely breaks the idea of variation as in the end game everyone would be the same. The goal is for people to build themselves however they want, but to still make them decide a path insyead of going all in because anyway you can get them all
i guess you can make the points 100 or check out how many skill lines/trees there are and base it off that, for example there is 50 different skills to complete then make 10 available if that requires like 100/200 points then yeah

just a quick glance there is like 30-40 so maybe get enough points that can complete 10/15 of that

Less than 200, but higher than 50 would be ideal.
