yeah it could be really cool to have a more restricted progression to nerf too op mods breaking PvE / additional immersion details

I frequently ask for configs and use what I'm given
more specific changes are much more useful
When I say I want to be the one who configures things for this modpack I'm not joking, I can't configure things post-release and then send it.
all ive seen you do is change two lines in two configs lol

and the modpack was harder with Dehydration but everyone complained
then suggest other things!

what are you, as a person who has played a lot, looking for
that's what I want suggested
Spend more time tailoring the modpack configs to a balanced adventure feel rather than quickly slapping together new mods for an update
Just change rpg difficulty to your liking, put hardcore on in the professions config, change relic ex loot drops, just basically change it to your own liking that’s what I do. I make the modpack into what I like looking at any configs and lowering drops on things.
I already have, many things I can't change server side that I'd like to and many things I can only change server side. I'm talking about client side changes as well.
I don't know what you expect me to do or change if you aren't going to be specific with what you want changed. that's the point of suggestions

ig some mods are not equilibred enough regarding the overhaul difficulties encountered

Even if we make the modpack harder with pve/survival/entities etc, people will still complain. People complain its already too hard, people complain its already too easy, people complain about any changes we do. No one will ever be satisfied in the end because everyone wants to play differently. For me atleast making the modpack hard that it takes months to finish will make people loose interest. Making the modpack relatively fast paced and finished in less than a month (with how low peoples attentions spans are) is much better.
I agree, a lot of people like having OP mechanics or metas aswell
being able to silktouch spawners or mods like Conjuring tend to be very OP and broken, but its fun
Unfortunately the reality is we dont have the team to make a in depth, proper balanced pve combat modpack because most of the modpacks are just played by friends and there arent any big servers that would host it for a faction based pve setting anyways.
I have played extremely balanced, RPG and PvE focused modpacks
and they don't hook me at all
they don't hook a lot of people. thats why they're usually 60k downloads
most people play singleplayer anyways
I don't think the modpack should be extremely balanced as that tends to make it somewhat boring, but at least an attempt at nerfing the insanely overpowered mechanics of it.
