its just a way to determine temperature.

With the white border, your "internal temp" or whatever is increasing. You have a while before youll have a heatstroke

Complete the tutorial quests for a thermometer, itll help you know the temp better

Use the plane to scout underground with your map set to around -45~ and search for a open place with yellow spots

Don't know if this is the proper place for feedback but i wanted to give some of my thoughts on the pack and a few issues

The mod does not say at at all the further you go the more HP all mobs gets. that includes your pet summons. adding that note would help.

Cold sweat
The nether has cold? patches in the nether fortress. For a place filled with lava why is it cold?

Ulterlands
Riftborn quest suggests they spawn, checking the wiki you need to "feed" (punch it with food item in hand) a mob the nebulous cake. Changing the order of the quest and making it clear would clear this up
Aegin dont drop Weathered tooths. Killed 50 with no luck looting 3. Not like they do anything - Ulterlands feels unfinished
Fortross dont spawn, The wiki says 40% on the floating islands but they simply do not. the spawn rates are bugged somewhere.

Heart of villany chests are very unclear on how many genes you need, Unless you check the wiki (64/32/8 for the chicken/flies/massive warden like creatures respectivly) it wont do anything. Adding it it to the quest would improve the experiance
You can break and aquire the orion queen spawner. Funny but seems unintended.
Ulterlands seems unfinished with several features either not working 100% or outright not working.

Enchanted gravitite was overwritten by aether redux so never can be acquired. You get the new ingot
Mimics were overwritten by aether redux so the mob id its looking for wont be beaten
Verdium tools "infusion" skill does not work as intended. making the ingot worthless.

The gold dungeon boss "Sun spirit" Might be the worst experiance ever.
While the further you go the more HP mob mechanic is cute doing it to a boss that takes damage based on your weapon (upto 10) makes the fight last far longer than intended. Seeing how the mod has quests for maybe 4-5 fights for all the drops this is a crime.
This damage cap also applies to the silver dungeon "Valkiry queen" making that fight also a boring slog.

Improvable skills
Sharp arrow drops from skeletons, Skeleton drop tables are overwritten by undead unleashed, You cant get the drop.
I have done several stacks of gold to piglins for the soul speed skill. Either its been configured incorrectly or im horribly unlucky. this may be a skill issue please inform me if so

Drop tables
Ichor comes from village temples, Village temples are changed to be different. Unless you randomly loot every chest you wont know what each "village temple is"
The lost boats from the aquamarine mod have barrels that count as "stronghold" loot tables. Allowing you to get skills unintended
The new mineshafts added seem to not have loot tables or carts. After looting 7 either im unlucky or they dont generate the carts. Making the eye very hard to get.
Or you can simply randomly find it in the chests randomly since the drop tables are very unorganised. i found the desert temple eye in the "lost city" form cataclysm.
As well as the "black eye" from it too.

I was really deep underground in a tetra structure. It just showed up. Turns out they were two structures connected to each other.

The scavager is apparently a boss from pyrologer that has a horde of treasures in a small cave underground

ichor comes from any temple structure. Jungle, Desert, and village churches. Some structures dont have loot tables at all but pregened inventories (cough cough pyrologer and friends).

The mod does specify differently especially with the "Angels blessing" that specifies all 3 (Village/jungle/desert)

The book for the mod itself ingame doesnt specify where its from, but it makes sense for any temple item

village temples/churches are just whatever churches are in the village

which is painful cause most of them dont have one

I got angels blessing ONCE and that was at the start of a run on an old version
