This depends on what gets upvoted and downvoted by the teams, beyond the devs, also they are on much stricter limitations than mod and modpack creators are allowed.

As an example: With base sims 4 builds put into packs they are super strict rules of no using cheats, can't freely place stuff, can only have a certain price limit, limit of how many items in said build, what packs you can use (usually 1 being sold+bg), we don't know what limits they are given for development process, so we don't know why they are doing such big things 1 year, and small stuff the next. Could be budgeting excuse from higher ups, or maybe they wanna have a larger team work on a much larger update so they're gonna work on that for 1-2 years while doing a smaller update in between. It seems stupid, but they have to listen to the higher ups, and now that includes microsoft.

Just depends on their long term vs short term goals

See, intellectually, I understand the point you're making, and I understand that "internal shenaningans" are the cause of most things.

But as a consumer, I don't really remotely care. Their internal struggles aren't my concern. I care about the outcome and the product I receieve.

*1 was giving me warning on startup, I skipped the warning and joined the game, but I had artifacts too, so I deleted that line and tried again and everything seems normal

I switched from CurseForge to ATLauncher and this issue with the ponder artifacts was similar to the one I had on CurseForge, so I jsut added mixin.perf.deduplicate_location=true to the same file, restarted the game and now it works, how? idk

gonna hop on this, thats because 9 out of 10 consumers don't know a single higher up at mojangs name, but we know the devs as they are far more public.

So, I've discovered an amusing cross mod interaction

Since aether and the curios mod both add a hands slot for their respective systems, you can equip gloves twice

Which is an addition 1.5 hearts of damage from base punches and to any weapon attacks

Not absurdly powerful, but still pretty nice

And because there's no other hand-slotted gear in the pack, there's really no reason not to lol

Im working on a farm for it. its just that my experience with cold sweat as soo far been negative

i like when mods ad complexity that enhances the base experience. Create lets you make a sawing mill to turn your logs into planks, something that you can do by yourself manually, the reward for engaging with that system? you get 6 plans per log instead of 4. Tetra adds a somewhat complex system of weapon customization, the reward for engaging with that system? you get to use cool weapons that upgrade themselves over time thx to the honing system

Cold sweat on the other hand has forced me to travel thousands of blocks looking for a fucking heart of the sea, which is hard as fuck to find because, for some reason, shipwrecks are impossible to find in this modpack, making me waste many hours of my life and then i forces me to farm a really hard to find and really inneficient to grow plant, the reward? i get to go to the nether, a thing i could already do in regular minecraft

I think the mod also has the intended functionality of disabling overheating when you have the fire resistance potion effect. (I looked through the config files and documentation once because i wanted to know how it works)

So after installing a forge server and getting the server pack of this modpack, one of my ram sticks is not working anymore. Would you guys happen to know why? I'm going into a tech support place so they can test it and find what's wrong later. I did go through the process of renaming my main user folder, which had a ton of stuff in it like enabling the admin account and doing stuff in the registry editor. Besides that, I allocated more than double the default amount of ram to the server.

once you get the dense skin (armor skill) you're pretty much chilling, if you wanna be tankier do iron's spells stuff and use fortify, charge, healing circle, evade, shroud, haste, etc to buff yourself

also once you beat the dragon you can go looking for the extra health skill

Hello, I'm trying to play the Steampunk Modpack (ver. 21.5) on my computer via ATLauncher, and it keeps crashing on launch. Doesn't even open the minecraft window before it crashes. I've followed the installation instruction to a T, I'm on the latest version of windows, reinstalled ATLauncher and the modpack, made sure my system drivers are updated and all that... An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.
