you can possibly try grabbing java 18 from flatpak (i assume youre using Prism in flatpak), and try telling Prism to use that, if its a java bug then its possible a newer version might fix it

Just an opinion from someone who has experienced both Forge and Fabric packs over the years, there isn't really much of a difference in terms of performance, especially when you consider the plethora of performance enhancing mods that exist right now. Sure, if you're running a system with like, an FX 4300 and like, 4 gigs of DDR3 memory, Fabric may be a better option; but for the most part we're not in 2006 anymore and everyone who claims Fabric is leagues ahead in terms of performance (not you, but many do), are borderline propagandists who just hate Lex for this, that or the other.

And fabric don't work faster "out-of-box"
But, with "fabric exclusive" optimization mods it works much faster than Forge with all possible optimization mods

A small example, the minecraft version 1.18. Just an assembly of all possible optimizing mods that could be found. The same game settings, and it turns out such an average fps throughout the game:
Forge: 182 FPS
Fabric: 319 FPS

An update to windows introduced a new security feature that prevents powershell files from running on your PC. This is great for your security, but not so great for our server start scripts, which require powershell to run them. Fortunately there is a quick fix for this!

Run powershell as administrator, then run Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. Read the prompt and press accept. This will allow us to run scripts.

Next, navigate to your server directory using cd path/to/directory (for example: cd C:\Users\Username\Documents\Minecraft\Server)

You can now run the server by double-clicking the start.ps1 file, or typing .\start.ps1 into the command line while in the directory.

IF THE ABOVE DOES NOT WORK, TRY THIS
Run the command Unblock-File -Path .\start.ps1 in the same powershell window. This will allow the start script to not be blocked by windows, and run freely.
