Break as many spawners, especially zombies and skeletons and spider ones. Use conjuring mod and make a piglin XP / gold farm . Be careful when making it as baby one glitch through some blocks.
Make Iron Golem farm with Conjuring too. Very easy iron. There are some spawners that will spawn a different variant of Wither skeletons in the overworld, so go for that too.
Get the Initiate Wand and use the Lunge Spell as much as you can. It will take some time to make it Master Wand. But after you make it, you will get - 50% mana use and is basically a free Rocket in your hand when using Elytra.
Make backpacks. They are super useful since there are tons new content.

If you find a mountain go and try to find gyphons to tame them. You can fly with them.
If you find Prometheum use it to make tools and then armor. It has by default "Mending" on it.

The first thing to do is make Echanting infuser and the advanced one ( it decreases even more the level requirements ) .
Make a pick for fortune and a silk out with vein mining.
Try to get "Sword of the Aegis" . It's possibly the best sword out there to use and it is not that hard to get.

sorry to bother you, i just wanted to let you know i had the same issue and it was caused by collective- keeping it at 4.4 fixes the issue :)
(it also occurred with wandering goblins funnily enough, if they took damage and drank a health pot it'd also crash, suppose it just had to do with npcs and drinking potions)

aegis' smite is nice but this i believe is actualy the best sword. 20+ dmg. i'd recommend getting that fire aspect on it and slap fire focus III on all armor parts

By default, you can press 'o' to view what origin you are (as well as their powers)

The should be an item called "Copper Cauldron" (Or something very similar)
You'll need to craft one of those, put it over a campfire, and fill it with water. It should give you 3 charges of purified water
I would also recommend making a flask and upgrading it as much as you can to keep lots of water on you.

you can escape from the nether in like 10-20 minutes imo

especially since lots of the nether origins can fly, you can easily find large obsidian pillars that spawn pretty commonly, I just mined out a portal shape into one didn’t even place any obsidian down

i was lucky to find a diamond pick, but you dont need one to break obsidian, you just need one to collect it. punching it out would be faster and less thirst inducing than finding one anyways

then i just got a ghast to shoot at the me and the portal till it opened

but you could also use lava and wood to ignite it like in skyblock

and the other way i thought of was fire charges

since lots of mobs in the nether drop gunpowder

tbh tho if i had to go back - if you want a nether origin since the orb of origin is craftable its much easier to just craft it and switch to it when you are decently geared

plus it circumvents the low health start. since you can level up health in preparation for your switch.

Purifying water by putting a water bottle in a furnace doesn't work, according to too many items the only way to purify water is with the brewery, which needs Blaze powder, which means you can't purify water at all until you go to the nether? In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
For 1.18.1 Forge: 1.18 already has a Mod that adds Shader Support and it is called Oculus, if you really want to use Optifine then remove the Rubidium and Oculus Mods.

trying to upgrade a server from v13 to v14 and the removal of the snow! real magic! mod causes every block that has snow on it to disappear from my world post upgrade. (logs on server start say "Skipping BlockEntity with ... 'some snow real magic block'"). Any way I can upgrade this world to v14 successfully?

you need to use campfires or use heating stones which you create in a stonecutter and then throw in a furnace

the tickrate for them is ungodly fast, so youll need various checkpoints even for the heating stones. they.. really dont solve the problem. but they exist.

they gotta be in your hotbar to work too

the drinking/temp mechanics are the only bad mod in the pack. we gotta make do until someone makes a half decent one for fabric

if you also need help on how to use the drinking mechanics, lemme just stop you there and show you the fantastic alternative that is drinking a bucket of milk

it saves no room, but still covers more drinkage meter then an army of water bottles

anyone asks why you have 20 milk buckets in a backpack, just tell em that you are just using l33t debuff strats

i play on a friend self hostet server and he build a creeper farm for 1.18 (YT tutorial) he tried so much builds but there is never spawn 1 single creeper.

i guess something from the modpack broke the natural creeper spawn or something? doesnt seems right if not a single creeper spawns in a farm

you can build a campfire, craft a cauldron out of copper, with that cauldron you can craft a campfire suitable cauldron with sticks and chain, place this above campfire, with a bucket put some water in, wait a while (you cannot see if its ready, idk wait 5 minutes or something) then you can use a water bottle or a waterskin to put purified water out. clean water
