It happens with Wither as well sometimes were it glitches out. You probably just have to take poison damage for it disappear.

Find a witch and have them throw poison at you and when the debuff wears off the message should go away.

Once you get some leather, you'll have an easier time of it as the waterskin + upgraded waterskins hold more and get you more hydration (2 from a drink from waterskin vs 1 from a purified water bottle)

I crafted the altar and the witch's cauldron, and started making brews, but it seemed as though I could not take the brew out of the pot, and the materials become lost when breaking the pot and starting over again. In addition, The M.E. bar disappears shortly after loading into the game, so I never know how much Magic Energy I have.

Ah, the thirst bar freezes and stops updating if you die sometimes.

Try logging out and logging back in (or save/quit and then rejoin) to reset it.

There was an issue with v4.5 where some mods were dropped from it unintentionally, including terralith. You can try manually re-adding the ones lost. v5 has terralith readded.

The one you have is an older version of the Haema mod which contains the crash, from what I can tell, it's fixed in v6 which has the v1.8.1 of the mod and the mod author thinks so to on their github, someone reported the exact same crash

Luckily shaders are really easy for our fabric packs. Download a shader pack from online, I recommend complementary, and place them inside the shader pack folder in the main modpack folder. After that, load up the game, goto the shaders tab in the video settings area, and select your shader. Then hit apply and there you go!

Not sure if too late for you, but i had the same issue and i had to remove the "Snow! Real magic" mod, it still seems to be very buggy. It has been removed and enabled in this pack several times because of crashes like yours, maybe its time to just give up on it.

mods that add snow continue to plague me. i removed the seasons one in the middle of winter (apparently) and it left all these grass blocks with the wrong (almost gravel) texture on them. i had to fix with worldedit. previously, another seasons mod was wrecking my sugar cane farm and killing my axolotls. they're a nice idea but i don't want to lose things for it. :p

Yeah i have the same issue with the gray grass spots now after removing "Snow!". Luckily a simple block update is enough to make the grass green again, so i just ran around with a bucket of water and let it flow over all the grey spots i could see

also, i think you have to install your own shaders, or there won't be anything in that list, below the enabled/disabled

Iris is not a shader pack. It's kust a mod that better supports your own shaderpack

Hello its my first time using this mod and thanks to you NightOwl I was able to add some shaders. I saw that there are some resource packs e.g. "better grass" that are not enabled INGAME. Is there a reason? Second do I need any additional texture packs or is there a recommended texture to further enhance graphics / looks? Thanks !

if you have shaders going, i would just relax with that for a bit. you CAN install resource packs that are just texture packs, but they may not 'play well' with this modpack and its blocks. YMMV, as they say. bettergrass may or may not work, as well as other resource packs that do things beyond just simply textures (connections, etc.).

and the order of the packs in the list matters. the ones on top have priority.

i don't know why bettergrass is installed for you. i'm not sure that was part of my installation. but you can always try it. resource packs probably won't break anything, like a datapack might...

Real Magic!" one) to avoid the game crashing all the time. Do I just enter the folder, delete the current mod and paste the new version? Or do I update the modpack to V7? In that case do I lose all the progress done in the world?

Environmentz and Dehydration! I disabled them as well, definitely not my cup of tea either.

Rename them from 'blahblah.jar' to 'blahblah.jar.obsolete' or .jar.disabled so if you need to fix something later you can just rename it.

Also, how to properly get rid of 'passable leaves'? Since disabling it we get a weird shutter when landing on leaves.

Every server will be a little different due to how they manage it. I host through winternode and it went roughly like this:
Configure for latest supported fabric release and complete setup with Java 17.
Import mod (medieval Minecraft l, fabric, whatever version 1.18+)
Generate world. Once generated you can go and edit seed and other info as needed in the world config files.

What host are you using, or is this via your own PC?

The snow armor you need to wear when it's cold does not seem to negate the freezing effect, I read here that you need to put it on next to a campfire but I did and it only slows down the freezing rate, is there any solution found to this problem?

at first you have to put the water on crystal bottles (need sand for that) and when you get leather you can craft flasks and upgrade them to hold more water and restore more points every time you drink

but yeah the core mechanic is dumping a bucket of water into a copper caludron previously placed on top of a campfire, wait 5 seconds for the water to be purified and then store it by right clicking with a crystal bottle

worst case scenario, if you can't seem to find sand or copper early on, just drink from a water source by shift + right clicking

it will give you a "debuff" that your thirst bar will drop faster for a while but you should end up above half most times, which gives you enough time to keep going
