that means you're too far still, it's like 2.5 blocks or so for it to activate
try F3+B if the bounding box is too far inside the dragon it might just detect you petting the dragon (to big to pick up)

I think origin size matters for reach as well, so if you're really small it's harder to reach

Dunno, having no luck with anything. As random stuff I also tried to switch to peaceful before joining and to teleport myself from the server console immediately on login, but nope. I get to see the world for maybe 15 sec, but none of my actions work, it just lags out. Also tried a few different ram values which I hadn't previously changed at all, but no luck. On clientside, it just throws a time out. On the server log at the same time I see spark say "timed out waiting for world statistics" a few times. Then it eventually throws an actual crash.

Hi, I'm currently playing on a server that a friend of mine is hosting through Gportal and we are having a few issues.

things such as Toms simple storage have stopped working within a set few chunks, furnaces in another base just stop working every now and then, animals such as sheep, chickens, various mythical mounts have just straight up disappeared, and finally sticky pistons just become ghost blocks when extended and we have to blow up the area (server restart didn't work).

I'm kind of new when it comes to troubleshooting this kind of thing, but does anyone here happen to have any good ideas where to start to look or have any idea what's going on.

Any tips on game lag?

I have 60-80 fps constant
700+ download speed
200+ upload speed
Always 5/5 connection bars on the player list

But I still get a bunch of lag. I have to hold right click for about twice as long to eat or drink anything. Mobs stutter step when walking towards me. Blocks that I break have a delay between disappearing and actually turning into items. Sometimes, the blocks that I break simply reappear and do not break or drop as an item, forcing me to break them again. I have to stand over items for about a second and a half to pick them up. Anyone have experience with this?

I followed the performance guide listed in #faq and I switched to ATLauncher, reinstalled the pack through them, setup RAM to 8gb, etc. This boosted my fps from 60-80 to currently about ~150 so that's nice. But I'm still having the same behavior displayed in my original comment. AI stuttering, blocks not breaking properly, food taking longer to eat, etc.

In the F3 menu, my memory usage floats from 30-50% so it's not RAM. The other tweaks in the guide within the 'extra' section seem to be FPS boosts which aren't the problem right now. Anyone have any other ideas?
