Why does the modpack use Tom's Simple Storage mod (A relatively unoptimized mod for multiplayer)? There's tons of other storage mods that are far more optimized. In multiplayer, if you want to access remote inventories, you have to chunk load your base, and more players + larger bases = lag = TPS issues = potential server crashes. I just want to know the thought process that went on to choose such a poorly made mod as the storage mod for the pack.

Hey folks; any tips on server performance? I'm running in Linux on a Ryzen 5 3600X with 32GB of ram, allocated 8GB to the server in the java args, and performance is terrible. I've pregen'ed the chunks already out to 128 chunk radius. Block lag, and massive elastic banding while walking around with a single player on. Constantly seeing messages about the server not keeping up in the server console. Vanilla 1.19 server running with Fabric runs perfectly with 8 users logged in and all over the place with only 4GB allocated on the same host. CPU usage is really low, like 23% across all cores (12).

Quick question if anyone can assist. I've been trying to find the differences between better minecraft 1.18 - 1.19 but haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

@fiery flax I'll give the most defintive answer in my knowledge from someone who was in the middle of playing 1.18 when it got updated to 1.19. The only real difference to my knowledge besides a few mods being added and there being much less mods due to not all of them updating. Last I saw 1.19 had around 170 mods and 1.18 currently has 220. Worlds from 1.18 can't be moved to 1.19 without error, for fair reason but it also breaks some stuff present in both versions like waystones dissapearing. imo from what I know the extra features vanilla minecraft adds in 1.19 aren't worth all the features lost.

Can't seem to figure out why this modpack stutters for me so much. I wonder if it's because my frames are going from 50 to 100+ constantly. I can run vanilla just fine and even IRIS, Shaders, Sodium and the other optimization mods. I have 8GB for memory with 512 for the min as I didn't know if I had to mess with that. I have tried higher memory up to 10 and nothing seems to fix this. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? My computer isn't bad, this is the only game I'm having trouble with.

Would having max framerate set to unlimited (It was that way by default) be an issue? I set it to 60 and get a constant 60 and turned Comp shaders on and even turned it up to high with it at 60 and it goes from 53 to 60 and nothing lower. Though I am in a plains biome.
