Hihi, I have a problem.
I have created a server using this mods package, I have set -Xmx14G (16GB pc total) as argument for the JVM. The problem is that the server is using 15% CPU and 80% RAM, the server never uses more than 8GB RAM(even though the maximum I gave it is 12GB). When I was just testing alone I thought it was normal, but now we are 4 players and the chunks load very very VERY slowly (the world is pre-generated in a 5000 block radius so I don't have to create chunks, just load them).
Having a lot of free CPU and RAM shouldn't everything load fast and smoothly?

a friend of mine that I am playing this modpack with has this list of advancements on the right and he can't find a way to get rid of it in this newest modpack version. How do you do it? He says this only happens on our server, as he tested it in singleplayer, but I personally don't even see that thing on the right.

He's also experiencing great lag that he hasn't experienced before with storage terminals (to the point it's a struggle to take the items out) and in general had great issues opening up this latest version of the modpack... luckily it finally worked today, but it's still a lot worse for him. Is there something new that affects the performance?

The server itself doesn't appear to lag. On top of that, I tried opening the recipe book on my own while in my terminal and it started causing great FPS freezes, while that recipe book was open. Experienced an FPS drop + any inventory action was accompanied by its own freeze.
After the friend turned off the recipe book, his performance issues are gone as well, so I think it's fine now.
We can still do that test

Hello, we've just tried to do what chorb asked for.
But my friend had no issues. The main performance issues we've had and this 'extreme lag' came from the recipe book and crafting terminals, which I am pretty sure aren't part of Wilder Wild, but rather "Tom's Simple Storage Mod".
My friend is no longer having any performance issues.
He just tried creating a singleplayer world and importing the playerdata file, then opening his inventory with the recipe book -- nothing happened.
Currently our performance is fine after turning off the recipe book.
This performance issue only happens when you have the Crafting Terminal open. I can send a recording of it, because it happens to me too. It gets worse the more items there are in the terminal

Okay, first of all, I feel like you are being somewhat rude while replying, second we don't even know if the 18-19 difference is even the cause of the issue yet. Frontear even mentioned that the switch alone won't stop the OOM error, and that there's something else going on, and Chorb also said two other possible reasons. The pins are very clearly targeted towards clients, it even directly mentions LAUNCHERS, which are not something used server-side, the word server is never mentioned at all, so why should I bother reading that FOR SERVERS.
This conversation is not about 18-19 alone, it started as troubleshooting the issue mainly, and for now I am only trying to see what I can do with one of the possible root causes of that issue.

It's basically this. We get people who come in here all the time and don't read. That can be annoying. However, it is even more annoying when people say they've read all the things and have done all the things but come to find out that they've done something incorrectly because they thought they knew better.
