I've checked around for an answer to this already. But does anyone else have an issue where client can't connect to server, error message: mismatched mod channel list ?
Both fresh installs on server medieval mc 1.18 and client side aswell. No error logs no crash, just wont connect.
The config files looks to be the same on both client and server and mods match up

Hello, I'm playing Medieval Minecraft on the 1.16.5 version using the scout enchantment; I note that entities will have the glowing effect but they aren't actually glowing for me. Not so sure why, I'm not even using optifine or anything

right clicking brings up a menu for a dungeon

beginning one spawns one at the height limit at your difficulty of choice

each key spawns different enemies

from my experience the nether key spawns mainly wither skeletons

great for wither skeleton skull farming

it just spawns waves of enemies with most of them needing 125

just anecdotal evidence

and the yellow key has more options

each key has like a currency that the enemies drop and higher difficulties unlock different stuff you can trade for

the stuff is pretty bad tbh and i mainly used the keys for the enemies themselves

You mean the CurseForge app? In any case, you don't need it to create your server. You need to download and extract the Server pack file. Once that's extracted, you will find a file called start.bat. You double-click on this and a window will appear and kick off the setup of your server. At one point, it will ask you if you agree to the EULA terms (you need to agree), then it will generate the world. You'll notice a whole bunch of extra files and folders appear in the original folder. You will need Java SDK 17 for the server to run. This is the most bare-bones way I think I can describe it but there's a few other things that you'll need to take into consideration, like allocated RAM amount for the server. Ensuring the port is open for your friends to be able to access the server, etc.

Not sure what you mean by root server but whether it's on your own computer or another computer acting as a server, the process is the same. I only know Microsoft server environments so if you're playing with Linux or whatever, I can't help you. Personally, my setup is a secondary bare bones computer I remote into and start my MC server. Windows Server environment would be the same in any case.

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: 1.18.2 comes with Oculus that gives you Shaders with 90% less load times. If you want to use Optifine then remove the Oculus, Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods then add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

So the mod Bygone Nether, which adds a few new structures to the nether, adds a big ol' wither-shaped dungeon, and inside you can find some "Soul Stone". You need that instead of soul sand for wither summoning
