hey I just upgraded the mobpack from v4 to v8 (backuped, removed old mods folder, replaced all files, overwritten jvm args and server.props, updated forge) and I get error when starting :/
this is the error I get:

Probably it is because you skipped 4 updates (going from v4 to v8 directly) so CurseForge was overwhelmed and messed something up. Usually it's good to not make big jumps in updates.

Melee only really works if you get the "Prestigious Palm" from Eidolon which gives I think 2 or 4 blocks reach distance.

@analog path too much RAM can also cause the problems you're experiencing, try lowering it back down to 8gb. You can also try clearing out all the extra entities that this pack generates, like all the snakes

Hmm, I haven't heard of this from anyone else. So I'd suggest you make a fresh installation (not updating/overriding your current profile but making a second, new one) and see whether the issue persists. If it's fixed there you can copy your world/maps/settings over to the new profile.

Don't even think about the ocean.
You can fit in 1 block spaces, but your reach is also decreased likewise.
Even though you got night vision, still place torches. They are easy to forget about.

Also, if you ever get yeeted into lava, take the opportunity to drop your ability so you heal off the damage while you get free. Has saved me many times. Just be aware it eats your durability swimming in lava so much so don't make a hot tube.

The End mod was completely re-written. This was their changelog:
Perhaps it works if you delete all EndRemastered related files (like the config and the DIM1 folder) but I cannot guarantee that there will be no issues.

Sorry if this has been asked already or if this is the wrong place.. But is there any other known way to reduce the lag in medieval minecraft the 1.16.5 pack? I would really love to play this and i can but the mobs lag sooo hard like when you hit them and they jump back, its all glitchy and lags out like a slide show slowly going up then back down to the ground. I have already put all the settings to low and some stuff runs good but the mobs still do this. Is there any mods we can remove that arent really needed that could help resolve this issue or something without ruining the pack itself? My laptop isnt a bad laptop and can play the 1.18 medieval pack just fine but for some reason the 1.16.5 gives me this issue which really sucks as I have been itchin to play it haha.

Its just weird cause the 1.18 pack work fine for even higher graphic settings and such without the constant lag. But maybe its cause the 1.16.5 has more mods or smething?

I removed the mod they come from. There is no config file so there is no way to prevent spawns.
When you look at a ghost it should tell you the mod it's from. Don't confuse them with Ice and Fire ghosts, those are fine and confined to Graveyards

Hello everyone, has anyone the issue that stamina suddenly does not regenerate in the newest v9 update? I have full Water/Hunger meter but it doesn't regenerate at all even after multiple minutes.

Every time I try to click the Mod List for 1.16.5 in the curseforge site, it just redirects me to 1.18.1

The 1.16.5 version has more content but not the 1.18 world-gen (obviously). To get the 1.16.5 version you can click the link at the very top of this channel.

Is it just me, is is it hard to keep guards alive in the Minecolonies settlements in the 1.16 version? With all of the extra mob spawning rules, they get annihilated almost instantly by special mobs.

Put the item and a book into the grindstone. The item will be destroyed but the enchantments get transferred onto the book.

I have used a good 6 stacks of torches over the area of my colony, but mobs that spawn close to the edge that stay because they don’t die from the sun hurt. I’m only upgrading to level 2 buildings at the moment, but it’s a slow process when every second or third day they are mourning the death of someone:

Mega torches are a lot better than normal torches. They disable the spawning of hostile mobs in a set area (129x129 blocks per torch).
If you don't have the resources for enough mega torches I'd say place them at the edge of your colony at least, since that's apparently the place where you get mobs still.

@zinc ginkgo its an issue with the Oculus mod, move oculus-mc1.18.1-1.2.1.jar out of your local mods folder and relaunch, it will be fine after that

They're hidden as in they're like inbetween some blocks? or just not able to be seen in plain sight

Perhaps try loading into a world without Optifine, just to be sure that's the issue.

I have a nvidia geforce GTX 1050 TI, so i think i added it correctly. A guide online said to add the javaw.exe file and set the graphics card for that. So i did it for that as well as the minecraft launcher and curseforge overwolf

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.
