Are there Ancient afixes from Forbidden and arcanus? There is an Advancement, but cant find them in the world.
You mean the apotheosis ones? From the named mini bosses that spawn with lightning and the affix towers? Not yet implemented
Hello, noob question: Can anyone help me with a "ticking entity" crash? I have a medieval minecraft forge 1.18 server. I've already tried to solve it myself but I can't get any further.

To better assist with fixing an issue, we will need some logs: Curseforge/GDLauncher-> Right click the modpack instance -> Open Folder. For MultiMC -> Click 'Instance Folder' on the right.
Find the file 'Latest' in the 'Logs' folder. If there is a folder called 'Crash Reports' then find the newest file from today. Upload these as requested.
Upload the crash log from the crash-reports folder

Please remove the mod "radium-0.7.7g.jar" from your \mods folder and see whether the error still occurs.

Not sure about this error, 1.18 has some weird things going on that I don't know from 1.16. If you want we can remove the wheat seed (which is the ticking entity) manually and hope it's the only item causing this crash.
The wheat seed is part of the world though?

I'm open to all solutions. I tried to remove the Wheat seed myself with NBTExplorer, but couldn't find it. Do you need the "World" folder for this?
Yeah, you need to go into the world-folder.
There is a folder called \region inside.
The file you are looking for is called "r.-1.-1.mca".
I was already there and then in chunk 10, 14 or "in world at (-22, -18)"
However, I searched everything there and did not find the Wheat seet entry.
Thanks to the help of @tranquil solstice we found the corrupted entity and were able to remove it. In Minecraft 1.18. the entities are no longer in the folder "World/region/" but in "World/entities/" and can be removed manually from there.

Seems that's how we need to get rid of ticking entities now since forge doesn't have that option in their config for 1.18.1 yet

Hopefully they'll add it back once they scripted the new path to the files. Block-entities are still in the region files, so it makes sense that the option for those still exists.

True. Not the fastest fix since most people don't have NBTExplorer, but better than nothing. I couldn't find any information about the actual cause of the start/end error though.

Hmm. Having an interesting problem upon loading; Minecraft often freezes upon Injecting Super Coyotes.
Theres only two other instances of others having the same problem.
First play after a reboot, no problem, but launching the game again it snags.

Ah, that's why, sadly minecraft does not like any language except ones using the latin alphabet. You'll need to make sure english is your primary one or the only one if there's still issues

it seems to drain so quick and constantly even when standing still
if at all possible, I recommend removing the Survive mod
Or at least disable the stamina module in the config
The thirst is a bit easier to work around
Stamina, it's a pain
I feel like it doesn't really add much to the survival aspect. just forcing you to sleep/standing doing nothing and locking one of your inventory slot with a water canteen
will do. see if i can tweak the configs. Oh and Switch. no lag issues since removing that mod

Should I just skip neptunium armor and go for tide guardian armor? They both seem to do similar things.
this is highly dependant, assuming you're using them as dedicated underwater armor set
i mean, tide guardian takes a lot to farm
you just need to go fishing for neptunium set

problem with tide guardian set is that there's a lot of colour variations
and you likely won't have enough from a single kill

I think Dungeons Mobs isn't really that necessary. You could look at their mod-page to see if you need it, otherwise just remove it and enjoy the trident.

In your main folder there is a folder called \scripts.
Inside is the file for custom recipes.

my whole server has only ever spotted the standard squid once
and that's a single person and no one else have seen it
Squids share a spawn-cap with the other peaceful water-mobs, and since there are more of those in this modpack than in vanilla minecraft there will be less squids.

It's bound to "O", but usually it interferes with another keybind. Please rebind it in your options.

Either feed it into an enchantment library (from Apotheosis) or use an anvil enchanted with "Splitting".

There should be a SET ARGS= line in there, add in "-Xmx#G" with # being how many GB you want

That's the stamina bar, suggested way to keep it topped up is via melons/sweet berries. Personally, it's a bit of a pain to work with so I just disabled it

Anyone know anything that would prevent villagers from picking up food? 1.16.5 v50. I'm trying to make an auto breeder and threw some stacks of carrots on the ground for them and they just kinda stare at it. Tried with spawn egg'd villagers and same thing. With and without jobs. I did change the pickup in the config to not have to crouch to pick up items, not sure if that would affect it for them. Carbuncles don't seem to have issues picking up items.
Edit: Also not sure if they've even been able to harvest a crop yet. Everything is mature...

Guys, what’s the difference between fabric and forge edition? Different mods?
You can extract some of the affixes from those items and add them to other items. I suggest to read the mod-description of Apotheosis if you're interested in doing that.
Different mods, yes. Generally speaking Forge has more content but Fabric has better performance.

If you want the best experience, go for Forge 1.16.5. It has the most content, including Origins.

Well, it depends on your playstyle. If you want to use magic you can become quite powerful with Ars Nouveau and Eidolon. If you just look for something better than netherite stuff then you could look into Ice&Fire and their dragonsteel.

that is quite annoying, it must be a slight pain finding a few rooms in a fortress to encounter a portal with a chest containing a troll

And in this pack the colours are more like inSkyrim. A bit dull and grey 😛

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
For 1.18.1 Forge: If present, remove Rubidium, add OptiFine to the mods folder.
Remember to remove the required mods each update.
Download it from their site and follow that
It extends load times and if it happens to go into not responding, just let it load

the modpack doesn't use any waypoint system other than journeymap right ?
just incase it doesn't conflict with a waypoint mod
You can set waypoints with Journeymap and FTB Chunks (which was accidentally removed, will be back next update I guess), but if you want to teleport "the intended way" you use waystones/warp plates instead.

The pack is fairly open ended, follow the quest book as a general progression guide, but otherwise just explore. Find a mod in the pack and mess with it, etc
Become a Lord (Mine Colonies), and defend it by finding dungeons and vanquishing monsters. The quest book is our guide to which bosses to go for first.
I miss TiC Hammers, I never have enough cobble. Is there a good alternative to it?
I mean, you don't really defend it by fighting dungeons or monsters. Only thing that attacks your colony are raids from barbarians and other such groups

Basically there's no end goal set by us. Some packs have you go for like an item or a boss right? We don't. What we have is just a basic dimension order with some quests for each one

we are using version 1.65 50.5 and the server is constantly lagging with three people. we have 8GB of RAM and only 5-6 is being used. any idea what could be the reason?

in case anyone else is wondering, I find them just from strip mining around Y 15
for andesite and granite, you can find them in mountains. these two are somewhat "common". craft a nature's compass and go check the mountains
for the andesite, I have found 0 so far, aside from the ones that spawn from pregenerated structures

So, I don't know why, but the game crashes whenever I hit the v key. I just installed the medieval pack. I was not able to find any key-binds in the settings that cause anything to activate or deactivate. Has anyone else had this issue?
It does it in the main menu. I'm gonna see if it does it in-game after the menus.

How do you regen stamina in this pack. Sleeping doesn't fully recharge it and it is depleting just standing around?
they shouldn't be. standing doing nothing will increase your stamina
if it's too annoying you can remove the mod. it's called survive
assuming you're playing on 1.16
Just standing in my hole of shame sorting chests without moving and the stamina meter ticked down. The bed only gives 4 lightning bolts.

The mechanics are not that bad when they are working right. Everything I am finding says that you should get full stamina regen when you sleep and recover when you stand still but for some reason in my game you don't regen when standing and only gain 4 bolts when you sleep.

Apparently stamina will regen if AFK. 2.5 lightning bolts in 30 min.
All the guides to the mod showed stamina regenerating much faster when standing which is why I was thinking it was broken. Still being forced to AFK for a full day to regen is stupid. It would at least make sense if you got a full recharge from sleeping.
It regenerates faster when your food and thirst bar are full.
Eating sweet berries and/or melons restores a fix amount of energy.

You can press 'o' but that has a key conflict now so head to your keybinds and change the show origin (or something like that) to a new one

You can find free server hosts online, but there are none that are recommendable. Free hosts generally don't work well with modpacks because they don't give the RAM you need to run a modpack.

If you have a spare PC or an old laptop nobody uses anymore I suggest to set up a local server on that device.

Are Waystone naturally spawning disabled? I cant seem to find any in villages or in the overworld. 1.16.5
They generate on the tall spires you see in the world
they are available, but not in villages. so far I've spotted them in the yes, spire, and the feywild dwarven blacksmiths
Hey @atomic adder idk if it helps but i was having a lot of lag spikes in the 1.18.1 version of the medieval modpack. i removed rubium and radium and replaced them with optifine. that fixed it
Yeah, both have their issues
I haven't tested rubidium, but for me optifine gave a bit more stuttering and lag spikes than without

Stamina is bugged. You are supposed to regen it by sleeping or standing still for a while. 30 min of standing gets 4-5 points and sleeping through the night gets 4-5 points.
Are the hunger and thirst meters at their max?
I finally gave up and turned it off. Now game is crashing so I just disabled Survive all togeather.
Were the crashes directly related to survive?
how do you get energy back?
It was pointing to the survive mod.

If stamina regenerated like it is supposed to it wouldn't be bad. Spotlights I found said you are supposed to get full energy from sleeping and a point every 15 seconds of standing around.
How much ram would you guys recommend for a server with this modpack and only two people would ever play on it. I have 6gb, would that be plenty?

Hey i'm playing on the 1.18.1 version, but whenever I try to use a potion it gives me a text screen that says "you are not allowed to use this effect yet" (image included) My friends playing on the same server aren't having this issue and we've been playing for the same amount of time. Stamina regen is bugged. I AFKed half an hour and got 2 full bolts. Sleeping through the night regens about the same amount.
Even turning the regen config down to 20 ticks I was not getting useful amounts of stamina back

How can I remove certian animals from the mod? where are the animals located? I have been looking and deleting these "spawn" files, however, the kangaroos and elephants still spawn in the game.
I need help with the night vision effect from the dwarf origin. I've farmed some gold for the helmet, so I don't get the blindness effect anymore when outside. What's really bugging me though is the constant switch between having the Night Vision effect when standing under a block and walking from it, especially in something like a forest. It's constantly getting switching from nice lighting to too bright Night Vision.
Is there a way to diasble the effect when above ground, or at least having a manual switch or something? The Origin mod doesn't have a config for that.

hey guys! i try make server but the mods in the server ~260 and the client on 300+ and if i start the server this crash but if the server is start i cant joining because minecraft says the monds is not matching. I attached the last crash report

Interesting, never seen that one before. It seems to be a compatibility issue between Journeymap and Minecolonies.
There are 2 things I would test:
- Download a fresh journeymap-1.16.5-5.7.3.jar file from the internet and replace the one in your \mods folder.
- If that doesn't work replace both journeymap and minecolonies with the previous versions (the ones that were in the modpack before you updated).
If these steps don't fix the issue I suspect it's the newer Forge-version (Forge is doing some strange things lately).

If you have multiple installations in CurseForge make sure you downgraded it in the correct folder.

The above files work fine with journeymap-1.16.5-5.7.3.

My server is remotely hosted. I can launch my game via MultiMC and connect and play just perfectly. However, if I disconnect manually or get a disconnected in any way (server error, etc) I can no longer reconnect to the server without restarting the entire game client. The server never shows an attempt to connect, only a disconnect (without the player ID, only IP address & port) and restarting the server has no affect on what appears to be an issue on my client side.

Does it happen frequently? It's the saving-process, which could be caused by a full hard drive.
Does he host it on his PC or by a webhost?

I can think of two reasons why this is happening:
a) If the webhost limits the total hard drive space you can use then that's maybe full now (and the game can't save all files anymore).
b) It's possible that the world got somehow corrupted.
You can either ask the host about the hard-drive space, or make a backup of your current world, then delete the \world folder on the server and see whether the crash still occurs on the new world.
Or both.
Also, on a side note: the usual tick time is 60 seconds. Is there any particular reason you set it to 10 seconds only?

Haha, well, that came after, first was just adding in realistic things like what burns and what floats, along with preventing cacti from destroying items. Then came the custom pickup, at least in the order of what was put in for our pack

Sadly I can't find anything on it, probs just going to have to remove Blue skies then load the server, then re add it in. Make a backup before that
And since it's 1.16.5, only things we can do are workarounds, they have moved on to 1.18.1 and don't provide support for earlier versions

now if you can install world edit you can spawn in do //pos1 -304,67,-352 then //pos2 -304,67,-352 then //set 0
you can remove the spawner
you just cant be close enough to where it renders or it will crash your game
you must open your playerdata in a NBTexplorer and change your location
so you are far enough away

Yeah, just make the end portal like normal, but use the 12 modded eyes instead of the normal. They are all listed in the pins, second message

More that the end portal frame has a special way of doing it, stay in one spot and don't move, while looking around in a circle, place down the 3 frames on each side.

I just installed forge - went to create a singleplayer world and I cant even load in lol - it gets stuck and stops responding at a certain point during world gen

There should be some commands from enhancedcelestials to get one going, try typing in /enhancedcelestial and press tab to cycle the commands

hi! i updated to 50.5 to check stuff out, and I'm having issues with music. i have in game music muted, but ocassionally this really intense music starts playing? like it sounds like boss music but there's nothing to indicate a threat nearby? and its very loud and not affected by the music slider. edit: i managed to temporarily solve the issue by muting Jukebox/note blocks.

Hey guys, I'm running a server with my friends (were 4) and the server always gets stuck and I need to left click so it would get un-stuck, any idea how to solve this?
the intended (i think) way for you to create spawner in this modpack is to use the undead expansion mod. you can craft necromancer table and craft spawners from the spawner fragments you get from breaking one
where exactly did you left click to unstuck it? you mean the whole server freezes and then when you click anywhere the server continues right after?

you're saying that when you're doing something, a cmd prompt just popped up in your client?

I run the start.bat file that comes with the server pack, I changed the ram to be 6G, and whenever the server gets stuck (no one can open chests, attack, break blocks etc.), when I right click the promt it is loading all the prev data and gets unstuck.
Also, some players are having problems when theres 4 players, when we are only 2 server runs perfect

pregenning basically means your server has loaded all the terrains in the game. so if you've finished with it you can safely remove the mod even
