how to do i get rid of previous death markers
Press J (default Journey Map key), click the diamond in bottom left (Waypoints) and just delete the desired ones
You put a water source block up above, then directly below it a dripstone block, then attach a pointed dripstone to the bottom of the dripstone block. Directly below that, you place a cauldron with a campfire under it. The Water source block on top of the dripstone causes the pointed dripstone to gradually fill up the cauldron below. And it is pretty fast. By the time the canteen is empty you pretty much always have a full cauldron.

Odd, because that works for me, that is how I start, until i find dripstone/pointed dripstone.
Fire works in place of the campfire, if you have netherack, and furnaces work as well.
As long as the furnace is fueled and operational/actually cooking something
with a furnace, you can actually purify a water source in the ground, without a cauldron. It is not stable though. That was my first attempt at purifying water, two months ago. And I seem to recall it evaporating the water source.(it was 2 months ago, when I first started playing the medieval modpack so I could be mistaken).

If you get the water with the bucket, it turns back to normal water

ah, you were taking with bucket instead of canteen.
I also thought it was strange that taking the water with a bucket from a purified cauldron resulted in the bucket having not purified water.
considering if you purify it in the ground and take it with a bucket you do get purified water.

for the 1.18.1 release of the modpack all the OP storage solutions were removed.
Kinda messed up if you ask me, given the ENORMOUS amount of items in the game.

Yes, there are larger storage options for 1.16.5, at least up to v46.

The mods, storage overhaul; which brings tiered chests, iron, gold, diamond, with each tier adding one additional row, up to double the storage space at diamond; and sophisticated backpacks.
And there is still simple storage as well.
i just encountered a building designed like a greek pantheon sort of structure and it had a lever inside that opened up a basement area but it was completely empty was there supposed to be a boss or treasure in it?
No treasure, but there should have been a gorgon inside, unless you entered creative mode around that area, which would despawn it. But you can still take all the sticky pistons, repeaters and redstone blocks that were used to make the door.
what type of gorgon was it? is there a spawn egg?
Hmm, I don't know which one. It is the nasty one that will petrify you to death, like medusa. But I am not sure it is medusa, I would have to check for you in a creative world, and I am not in a place I can do that right now.

By combining the Ancient Tome and an Enchanted Book in an Anvil and spending 35 levels, it will increase the enchantment one level higher than its maximum vanilla level. It will cost another 35 levels to apply the newly created Enchanted Book to a tool or item.

so I disabled it
It is highly likely I will end up using river wood(from upgrade aquatic) and maple(from autumnity) as my main go-to woods for building. They are feature complete, all the way down to vertical slabs and vertical planks, plus the both have mod support from decorative blocks abnormals(beams, supports, benches etc) The rest of the woods, however nice they are, and I do like their looks, like the ebony and gray maple, they are not feature complete.
Oh, I mean from all of the modded woods, I am still going to use the vanilla woods, because they too are feature complete.

That's a dumb question, but is there a practical way to get slimeballs in this modpack? Can't find any sources
I captured an enderian from of their enderian villages. He has a trade for slimeballs. Additionally, you can kill those tiny pink jellyfish that hang out on the coasts of ocean biomes, if you cook them they produce slimeballs. Additionally, depending on your need for the slimeballs, say sticky pistons, you can skip that altogether and just steal sticky pistons from the gorgon ruins, each one has like 12 sticky pistons, for the door and the redstone underground that operates the door. And you can get tons of sticky pistons from the floating airships too, the small ones with the white air bag.
Oh, and of course, slimes still work as they always have, slime chunks everywhere.
Well, if searching for a slime chunk is not your thing, then the enderians are likely your best bet. You can capture them in quantum catchers and take them back home with you, for convenience sake. The one I got was the enderian elder, the one with the beard. Not sure if it is regular for the elders to be the one with the slimeballs though. And they trade 1 pink thing for 4 slimeballs. Not a bad trade if you ask me.
pink thing is not really meaningful for me as i've never seen one but i'll make sure to catch those enderian thingies
When you interact with an enderian the "pink thing" will become very obvious to you. It is their currency. Sorry, I am not in-game right now, so I can just look the actual name up for you. But if you type in "end" into the JEI interface it should be displayed, it is a pink thing that kinda looks like a jelly bean.

Of course I know and use apotheosis mod (powerfully enchanted lightning bosses) but they don't have the strongest stats as the ones underground does in comparison to surface ground bosses

You can do it like this and see what it looks like. If the textures are still a mess then you'll have to reinstall the modpack.
Hey, so I tried to do it in order. didn't fix it. there are still missing textures. reinstalled the modpack and also followed the list and the textures are still missing. is it bc I'm playing the 18.1 version, or bc I downloaded it from curse forge?
The 1.18 explains why you don't have the Ice&Fire and villager resource packs.
But I know other people who play on 1.18 and have all textures, so I'm not sure what went wrong there.

I've alocated like 7000 smth MB on curse forge for mods. It runs RLcraft moderately well so this shouldn't be a problem, correct?
RLCraft has not even half the amount of mods. Since you got enough RAM you can without issues allocate the recommended 8192MB, then the game should run fine.

Delete them from your \mods folder.
Go to the directory of the modpack and delete tthem from your mods folder
though you should ask which mods cause i think some if deleted can mess with stuff

The mob spawning rates cannot be adjusted, the mob spawning algorithm does that, and it is complex. However, you can increase the number of spawners.
I made a 5 skeletons pawner farm. And it functions WAY better than the vanilla enderman farm. Like, literally 200% better.

Ok, replicated the result in the same exact manner. Then I tried reloading the same world without the mod. It crashed more than once when trying to continue from inside the pool. Recreated the world without the mod and made the same jump. No crashes
How exactly do you do it? Also that seems to confirm it is acting up then

After looking a bit into the java.lang.NoSuchFieldException it seems like the mod uses a mapping-method that is not compatible with forge.
In short, the references used by the mod are not forge-standards.

I'd imagine you can just override the previous folders, but I just go the extra step and resetup the server from the start and drag over the world, but I also only run servers for the sake of testing server side bugs so that's why I entirely redo it to prevent any possible mess ups

Anyone know how to increase the render distance? I set the distance to 8 in the server settings and in my client it's 14 yet in game it's only around 5
There is a mod that changes your render distance based on the server's performance.
In other words, if you can only see 5 chunks then your server would most likely have a hard time rendering 14.

This 5 chunks in front of me isn't too great
Instead of removing the mod I'd suggest to up the minimum chunks rendered. You can do that in the config file for "dynviewdist".

Yes.
It does other things as well. But you can disable the pickup-feature separately. Go into the "itemphysic.json" file inside your \config folder and set "CustomPickup" to false.

I'm fairly new to the whole mod pack thing, (not sure if I'm even in the right place) but I am trying to load a new world for Medieval minecraft, I installed optifine but removed the magnesium and dynamic lighting reforged mod, so it loads up, but then gets stuck when creating a new world.. Any advice?

In case you are not sure how and where: Click "Settings" at the bottom left of the CurseForge launcher, choose Minecraft on the left side and scroll down to Java Settings. There you can move the memory-slider to 8192MB.

But the /job powerups Miner command does not function
So it's unclear how, if at all, it's meant to work

Fire, set it on fire. Use a sword with Fire Aspect on it. Arrows with Flame kinda work, in the beginning, to get its health down, but after a bit they stop working, because you still have to chop the heads off.

It can't regenerate while it is on fire, that is the key.
'spose if you don't care about loot or exp, you could use a bucket of lava to dispatch it. Not sure if that would work, but it seems possible.

No need to remove it, you can use the in-game configuration to toggle all of its features off.
Main menu>mods>search for "survive"> edit config

The weather seasons is from a mod called "Serene Seasons", you can safely remove this mod if it is not to your liking. Take note, however, any snow in the world that is not melted will not go away without the mod. So it is recommended you visit areas that are affected by snow and allow the seasons to melt it before you remove the mod.

Toggling off survive? It'll have to be done for all, otherwise the thirst/energy bar will still appear clientside
I want to toggle survive off for the server, but when I just went to remove it, theres some other dependent mod. Scrounger aided me with turning it off in the mods option folder on my end but the players still see it.

If the server has the thirst and energy modules set to false, the mechanics will be turned off, but say the player's config has it set to true, you will still see the HUD bars I believe

there is another possibility. If it renders in the world as an entity, the entity culling mod may be culling it. This may not be the answer, but I do know the entity culling mod is ultra aggressive.

Probably not entity culling then, becaus eif you are looking directly at it with no obstructions, it is likely the culling mod would leave it alone.

The entity culling mod de-renders anything that is considered an entity, including chests, villagers and the like. You have probably noticed it too, like if you are rounding a corner, chest and villagers will pop into and out of existence. It is purely a performance mod., meant to ease the load of the nearly 300 mods that add so many new entities to the game.

The first time I noticed a negative affect was when I built a villager breeder, it had an automatic dispenser that would shoot out a minecart to collect the villager and deliver it to a waiting rail line. If I was not looking directly at the holding tank that had the villagers in it the minecart would not pick up the villagers, because they just simply weren't there.

And then I would be training my libarians and while I was standing right next to them, I could even see like half their body, but because there was a block there partially obscuring their hit box, the culling decided to de-render them, mistakenly thinking I could not see them. I could still interact with them, but they were completely invisible.

With V2 there is still a problem with forge when placing down something like a supply camp from minecolonies, still getting the error tag DIRT. Not sure of a solution. The last 3 versions of forge all have the same issue of error DIRT. I had this same problem for Medieval Minecraft V1 but the solution was to use version 39.0.17 of forge but I cannot get the V2 server to launch with that version of forge.

The reason v2 can't work on 39.0.17 is because the change all the mods that had the issue did requires 39.0.18+
why is more world so full of ender golems, I just started and I can barely move 20 blocks away from my base without getting attacked

To be fair, that cat is about the same size as the player, and depending on the cat, even larger. And the player is an absolute behemoth; standing at 2 meters tall(or 6 and a half foot), 1 meter wide at the shoulders(or 3.2 feet). And the cat is the same size, but instead of standing up, it is laying down horizontal.
It's still a cat, and I have a weapon that should be far more lethal than 4 inch fangs

More like the mod authors made them able to spawn close to world origin by default in order to torture the users, also if it's the ice and fire one, we can't control whether the hydra spawns close to the world origin
Truly though, a hydra and a mountain lion aren't even the worst of it. I spawned in one time and there was a dragon den right in the middle of the village. And since v46+ there are no village guards, so it is just iron golem vs dragon, and the solo iron golem never fares too well, leaving everything on the player.

Fortunately, if you like the seed, the terrain it generates, you can reroll the same seed and get different results, but still get to keep the terrain generation.
seed generation is not exact like it is in vanilla.
Overall, the mobs added by I&F aren't really a pain to deal with once you get a bit past the early game, at least in this pack.
Now their gear, yeah, that's a bit unbalanced
If there's nothing to scale the mobs, you can just rock dragon steel and ruin their day

You mean the ones in the tower building? Their invis is intended, but due to a mod turning chainmail invisible, that is the conflict making them fully invis if I remember right

Yeah, it's more of an open ended type of pack, rather than closely adjusted for each mod. Most mods are still on the default configs

For dark crystal, Mine at y 11, a standard branch mine, which is 1 block wide tunnels with a 3 block space between them, and make it 2 blocks tall, and 200 blocks long, make 20+ tunnels. If you don't find one in that space, go back through the tunnels you already dug and remove the 3 blocks above you.
If you still cannot find any. make a new one in a different location.

I suggest this large of a space, because, if you open up a game in a creative test world, and you go into spectator mode, you will find they are pretty well spaced out from each other. And sadly, their locations are not stable. So you can't just use a seed you have investigated, because they move from one generation to the next, sometimes gone completely.
it is frustrating if you don't get lucky and find the dark crystal veins early. It is right up there with trying to find specific curios for a specific build. You just have to get lucky. They are there, you just have to find them.
on the bright side, in the process of locating dark crystal, provided you don't get lucky, you still end up resource rich.
How does the saying go? Reach for the stars. Even if you fail, you still make it to the moon.

yeah but for example I can make any diamond or iron weapon from spartan weaponry and most of them will have far better damage and speed plus often a nice extra stat vs the tetra ones having low dmg and often more expensive too

@hot light In your main folder there is a file called "options.txt". It includes all your keybinds, so make a backup of the file before updating.
Regarding the keybind-reset: that shouldn't happen. Make sure the there is no conflict in the keybind.

well i found a bug i was grabbing all my explorer maps out of my storage system and it ended up grabbing all of them at once and now i have twenty of the same map when it wasnt like that before
it grabbed all of them cause i clicked too fast
im guessing there is no way to spawn in a map to a random location?

From what I saw you are the most active user in this channel, is there any important weapon or armour mods that I should also add support for?

From the top of my head I remember a few things: The shield-restrictions are only working for vanilla shields, so you might want to add the Spartan Weaponry shield (or Spartan Shields is the actual mod). While compatibility with the whole of the Spartan Weaponry mod would be great I think it adds too many weapons to make you script all of them. So, just the shields would be a great start.
And Ars Nouveau is used by quite a lot of people which has its own armor-sets and bow. Perhaps you could add that to races which it is relevant for.
Then again it just comes to my mind that Shulk is part of the actual Origins mod and not Singiro, so you might actually just ... want to ignore me. Oops.

V2.5 should fix up the DIRT related crashes with minecolonies and structurize, which as far as I know, is the last mod that had that issue

There's a mod called Item Physics, in their config itemphysics.json in the config folder, there will be a section at the end. Edit the "customPickup" to be false instead of true. Do not edit anything else.
