There is a lot on that layer. It's funny how all mods put their "rare" stuff at exactly the same height. Strip mining at y-20? Some gold, Wyrmroost plat, some iron but nothing much really.
Strip mine at y 13 and you see almost more ore blocks than regular
i guess its something with the way ore generation works prior to 1.17
or they just went its diamond rarity, that will be the level i do it at

Probably the later. Specifying where to spawn ores is rather easy. Basically just need to provide Minecraft a world height, vein size, rarity per chunk.

To be honest, brutally honest, it is a good thing that they didn't get creative with the ore generation Y levels. Or else it would be non-stop "Where can I find X ore." here in chat.

True. It looks a little weird when you get into one of the big lava lakes and basically the entire shore of that lake is ores

I think Minecraft randomises automatically around the specified height. Most configs I have read and modified really just need one height level set instead of a range. Though it probably can do either depending on what information you provide
It gets funky when you want to do something weird like Astral Sorcery with its Rock Crystal
so then teh other question is, if theres lets say 20 ores specified to generate in a depth

I personally find it lazy and uncreative to just plunk down your ores at "diamond level". Like the few gems? Yeah, that needed to be anywhere BUT diamond level, they should have but that at like 35 to 50.
It shouldn't, because there are still enough blocks in a chunk and "spread" is per individual ore
Not because of its rarity or prupose, but because it is ore pollution.
So you'll never find two diamond veins close to another but you can have diamond directly next to other rare ores

this chunk is 50% full of ore that isnt stone etc, therefore skip generation

Mods do too usually. At least those with more than one ore. It's just that they often make "here is our not-iron and here is our not-diamond"
The whole system how Minecraft generates it's world is super interesting

Nah, that got scrapped for the abyss and now I got one made with v47. That I created like 6 times over until I arrived at a not annoying amount of Greek Fantasy structures.

recommend against using the already existing mob spawners. They can spawn mobs in that are strong, unique mobs. Ignore that, you are doing spider spawner, don't think there are any variants of spiders that break spider farms. But for skeletons, zombies and wither skeletons, the already existing mod spawners can spawn mutants, which break farms.
Oh? Kidnapping the skeleton spawner from the weird Desert Building thing wouldn't work? Or at least not without occasional issues
Just thought about using the spider spawner because it was conveniently located
so as long as the roof is low enough over the spawnable area you'll be fine

The T5 Dragon below that spider dungeon makes that idea moot
there is also another variant of skeleton, the one with the hat and backpack, he is strong, very strong, and walks against water. He clogs up water streams, will shut your spawner farm down within minutes of turning the lights off.

Sure the super digginator 3000 doesn't find a single diamond in the branches it digs. But the random spot I chose to place a redstone torch for the powered rail. THAT has a diamond vein under it

Some server hosts do have a command for it, but that depends on your host. If you're not sure then downloading the world into your PC is always an option indeed.

The updating is explained in #server-hosting:
To Update to a New Version of the Modpacks, Stop the Server then you simply Navigate to the Modpack Menu and click "Open JAR Menu". (It will say new version available) After that Navigate to Curseforge on the left side and look for your New Modpack Version and select it. Click Save and the New Files will replace the old ones and don't worry your World should still be.
i dont think I have that option. So i would have to do it manually. Should I just delete mods, scripts, config and default config folder and upload the new ones?
It should be enough to delete only \mods and \config.

If you remove whatever mod is responsible for the character leveling, does that reset all stats for the player? Dunno why but mine broke and shows me weird stats so I wanted to reset that

Hi everybody! I just saw that there is an update to Medieval MC, I'm still on v46. It states to reset your world for the major update to 47, does that mean I would lose everything I've already acquired? Or will that reset the world generation? Also, how do I reset my world? Would a back up help? I feel like a huge noob, I apologize...

When you update the game above v46 you will have to create a completely new world. You do that by deleting everything inside you \saves folder.

Origins.
You can add World Edit to your world and save your builds/storage as schematic that you can easily import in a new world.
Sure you lose levels and the world is completely new, but you keep your buildings
Unless the storage includes tiered chests/sophisticated backpacks.
Though also nothing preventing you from moving that to vanilla chests beforehand
Or adding in those mods, like I will :P

No. But if you remove it you have to remove the mod "Collection of Singiro" as well.
Although you could just choose "Human" as origin if you don't like any special one.
So there is no real point in removing it.
Jeah I also put Sophisticated back in. Travelers just doesn't feel right. You can also depower sophisticated by deactivating the "op" upgrades. Config allows for every upgrade to be turned of individually

I get this bug when I pick up items/blocks/xp from the ground. Black dots appear around "particles" (?) and in water whenever I pick something up and I can't find the reason behind it

Anyone playing with tetra? I remember it as the underpowered cousin of tinkers where you had to spend ages digging through mountains to find those smithy upgrades, but is that still about it?
Yep, underground in cold and mountainous biomes.
I think that was the only thing that made me consistently abuse whatever worked for looking through terrain in that version...
U can use the holosphere to Locate the structures though

Basically it was an item that let you convert trader llamas into normal llamas, allowing you to tame and use/breed/etc. Issue was that the mod did something to them that caused a crash when you tried to breed them

Sophisticated Backpacks is a stubborn piece of a mod. It only works if you use 3.13.6.450.
Anything newer than that will crash.

You can try it with 3.15, but everyone else trying that recently crashed.
Perhaps it was because their polymorph was not updated, so it might work for you.

The modpack updates all the mods automatically when you update the pack.

happened both this update and last time thought it was due to having to start a new world last update
For keybinds: Once you set them as you like, copy the options.txt file from the main folder to your desktop. Then you can replace it after every update with the one on your desktop.

There are no spawners. They spawn around the structure, like illagers spawn around outposts.

Mod items aren't affected by the origin restrictions, so if anything is restricting enchantments somehow, mod enchants will be fine

Indeed it's not. That's from Quark which no mods really work around for world gen. Stick to default

Weird, it was working fine 2 versions ago with 8gb ram. But ever since the new versions it takes a long time for the world to load or create and eventually it will just get stuck on joining world

Yep, due to the changes in the abyss mod, IDs and what not were all changed. Limitations of vanilla code requires the new world

Naw, nothing else will happen. If you made the world with cheats disabled, open to lan temporarily, and use the commands that way
Alright. Just go into your world folder, open the \dimensions folder and delete the "theabyss" folder. It should exist even if you never entered it I think.

@elder forge I started anew on v48 btw, as a dwarf now. I am 1 block tall, have 2 blocks reach distance, cannot swim (I just sink to the ground), I am blind in daylight and limited myself to using Pyromancer weapons. Also limited myself to no-magic (except Eidolon) and no golden helmet. And I disallowed myself to put stat-points into Luck this time.
