I dug at Y=12 and found multiple dark crystal pockets within a day.
I will be playing on 1.16.5, and only v46, until a version that is objectively better comes out.

I do not believe advancing past v46 is worth it. You have to give up a lot of things, or add them in yourself. And if you wanted to add mods yourself, you probably wouldn't be here, talking about someone else's modpack.

I suspect I will be playing the 1.16.5 version, also v46, for a very long time, likely many months. It is going to take time for the mods to catch up. And some of the mods will never catch up, so we'll have to wait for other mods that are equivalent, or better, to take their places.

Optifine.jar into the mods folder, yes.

The shaders go as .zip file into the \shaderpacks folder.
Most people use Sildurs or Complementary Shaders.

Launching the modpack with Optifine takes about 5-8 minutes and might even go into "Not responding". Don't panic if that happens.

There is a \crash-reports folder.
That tiny bit of log doesn't say anything useful. Please send the complete latest.log.

Force-load the chunk and you should be able to access it from anywhere, even other dimensions.
how do you force load a chunk?
Claim it with FTB Chunks.
Open the fullscreen FTB map.
There is a button on the top left "Claimed Chunks".

i once had my friend say that there is some restriction on how many things you can have in your inventory and backpacks and if you exceed it using backpacks within backpacks it can do horrible things like delete your character or at least cause you to have to delete it

if i remember correctly it specifically had to do with putting a backpack within another backpack and repeating the a good few times once it hit a certain limit it would crash the persons game due to too much logic or something

Yes that is something that can theoretical cause weird issues. Though the numbers you'd have to use to get there are stupid high. And the worst thing that can happen is crashing your game as soon as you load the world.
Which would be solved by deleting that players data for that world

Also theoretically yes. But you'd have to decompile player data and it's a whole hassle. Deleting the entire inventory might be easier. Need to check if player inventory is a separate file.

Then I guess the MineColonies inbuilt-claiming system prevents Create from working, too. As far as I know you can't add a mod to the permissions.

Write enough characters in a book, put it into a hopper and on restarting the world the engine will get a headache and regenerate the entire chunk

Unfortunately water-requirement and origin are two different mods, so there is practically no way to disable water for nether-origins only.

backpacks are better than shulker boxes, by far(using sophisticated backpacks). And cheating is completely out of the question. I can use backpacks, but we are talking about thousands and thousands and thousands of stacks of items here, even with backpacks it is going to be a pain. I was hoping there was going to be an easier way.
Yeah I know I can do that, but without a portable respawn point(at least in the beginning), dying far away from spawn and travelling miles to go back to my items is always kinda annoying. At least in the overworld I always carry a bed and just immediately use it if I think I'm gonna die soon.

With the Minecolonies schematic it would take the items within the chests as well, yeah. But you'd have to be in creative mode to place the schematic down.
I haven't tested it with Create, perhaps you could try it with a single chest.
Sophisticated backpacks is by far the best backpack mod, I also play RLCraft and its backpack mod is absolute dog.

It isn't capped, and the "diminishing" is not noticable in the first bunch of points you spend. You can basically get infinite movement speed if you put enough points into dexterity.

I don't think Knights have -3 blocks/s movement speed, that would be a harsh nerf.

I don't recommend it. It will force the game to actively remove existing rammers, and that can cause other side effects that may be ... bad.

I don't know what the default drops are. There is the option to switch between loot tables (or even make a custom loot table), so maybe in your other packs it was a custom loot table.

If he wears diamond armor, then I don't know any way. If he wears a lower tier of armor you could throw diamond gear at him, he should equip that one and drop his armor instead.

Yes, you delete Magnesium and DynamicLights and put the Optifine.jar file into the same folder without executing Optifine.

If there is no mod called "magnesium" in your \mods folder then you don't need to delete anything.

Create a folder called "shaderpacks" in the same location as your \mods, \config and \saves folder. Put the shaders as .zip file into it (don't extract the shaders) and you're good to go.

1.18 needs probably a charcoal filter to purify water.
For the temperature: there are cooling/warming enchantments.

The mods will stay, unless you update to a new profile.
If you removed mods from the modpack they will be added back by the update though. You'd have to remove them again afterwards.
In reference to the origins, does the phrasing βstating there makes you feel betterβ mean youβre limited to that biome? Or just possibly buffed in some way? Both Slimefolk and Deer that have this phrasing for certain biomes so Iβm just curious

Man, designing a decent medieval theme for Minecolonies without making it too large is a pain. I don't want some small tiny little cramped castle like the ones they have currently so I gotta figure out a modular design for it.
Unless it has to fit in a specific area, make it as large as you want.
There is a limit, but not a overly restricting one. It's more that I don't want the builder doing one building over a 3x3 (or more) chunk plot :P

I do not believe I have any intention to use the minecolonies stuff. I prefer to build my own. But who knows, maybe the modders never make good mods for 1.18 and Sharky never makes another gem of a modpack, given enough time, I just might do a minecolonies run.
I just checked the limit in the config, 1mil is the max bocks to scan for the schematic, that's definitely an amount that wouldn't cause any issues :P

Nah, 1mil is a lot, wow. Yeah, that is a lot, no reference needed. I just counted the blocks of my first floor, just one Y level of it, it is about 250. Stacked up, that would be 4000 y levels
That said, I am cutting through 5 chunks, 3 if you move it over.
Yeah, and with structurize, it can scan a build, turn it into a schematic file, then if you wish, you can place that build anywhere instantly or have an ai build it. So most likely the instant place would crash the game and the ai building it would take probably a month of having the game open. Assuming 1 million blocks were turned into a schematic to use
