That's an error you'd get when your client has a different version of the modpack installed than the server is running on.

according to this, you need to edit your run.bat to replace java at the beginning with the path to Java 8's executable, which might look something like C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_291\bin\java.exe Pay attention to where it installs and make sure the path is correct in your run.bat

It's just based on the java compiler, each java version has an updated compiler that the older versions aren't compatible with. Java is backwards compatible, but not forward compatible for the most part

There's also whatever was added into the new version compared to the old, but the reason above is the biggest

Don't worry, it's somewhat complex. I think some mods just break and that, I'm talking about java itself, not mc. I've only ever used 8 for 1.16 and less, 16 for 1.17, and 17 for 1.18 of course

Hey do you remember me from yesterday? I had the issue with the console being spammed with the tempture thing. I've tested the mod pack on different servers one uses a one click installer the other one I uploaded the mod pack my self and both have the same spamming the console issue even though its set to false. So I'm guessing it's a bug with the newest update or something

The essence is made with one of the souls from those ghosts in a necromantic table. There's I think 5 essences you can make, each being a soul in the center surrounded by a specific mob drop.

btw you need the reaping enchant in your weapon to get soul drops, although, there are ghosts that drop them without the need of the enchant, they're white and invisible till they spook you from behind and give you blindness

If you found a supply camp from minecolonies you can also place down the "warped" version, it contains a spawn anchor. At least mine had one in a chest.

Just putting it out there. I spent all day trying to fix a 'Skipping entity with id' console spam. I'm not sure why, but during some lag one player mined a source jar and it ended up in the other's inventory. The spam continued until the jar was returned to the first player and they restored it to the block they had mined it from. Hopefully this helps someone. Playing V40

I know of a server who doesn't manage to stop the rain. Not sure whether it's a mod or minecraft being minecraft.

Personally I only had the issue of no-rain when I used Optifine in a previous version. Otherwise it always worked.

#

Maybe take a closer look at the server's settings. Perhaps there is an option regarding particles or weather.
