think you have to choose, I alsways take affix's unless the enchantment is indestructable

I'm not too sure of all the ways to remove enchants from stuff, I personally put in the disenchanter mod which adds in a variety of tables related to disenchanting, tho I tweak it so it won't nuke the item's durability

But that's just cause I'm used to using it in other modpacks

then split them with the enchantment library

Interesting, the mod I put in is a bit cheaty, just takes off one enchant at a time or all if I wanted into a book

hmm. Seems fine. The grindstone takes them all off and destroys the weapon, but you can split them all apart with the enchantment table. You can also take off curses using that method

The plus side is that it only takes the enchants, nothing else on the item is affected except for durability which if I'm not careful, it can break

If you got Sharpness you can add another "Bane" enchant, but not "Illager's Bane".
The others are: Freezing (incompatible with Fire Aspect I guess)
Critical Hit (-> Sharpness)
Guarding Strike, Exploding, Swirling, Committed, Shockwave. I can't add any of these to my sword, but not sure what enchant exactly they are incompatible with.

In v37 you were able to just mine them with silk touch and get the complete spawner XD

Yep, the author announced that he'll fix it in the next update. But nobody knows when that'll come.
If you can, go into creative and render the entire biome before continuing to play.
