You computer will also use it to put applications into "Standby". If you had Curse client minimsed and its not doing anything, what is the point of keeping RAM allocated to it? So it will dump it into the paging file. Generally you will never notice applications getting slow because of Paging until the OS is forced to do it with limited resources.

A few things to keep in mind:
Nether spawning starts will still need water, which is lacking in the nether. It makes surviving VERY hard.
The demon cannot sleep, so thus cannot have their spawnpoint in the overworld. You must use a respawn anchor which uses 1 glowstone per spawn.
Merfolk spawn on land, like any normal player, thus making that very difficult too, since they cannot breath on land

It costs 1 level and one soul fragment thingy I forget the name of, per enchantment. You can stack them on books too. Combined with an enchantment library and you are golden.

Tried uninstalling the mod to stop if from running restarted the server then installing it again but it starts running again as soon as the mod is back in. Crashes the server about 30 seconds after boot up.
Alot of the areas are already generated was doing a 625 chunk square around my base but idk what's going on with it.
Not only that I can't find a stop command for it and can't get back in for long enough to try to manually input a stop command if I am able to find one.

I don't use any shields myself so I just threw them away though, errr. There is burn for shields for sure (set attackers on fire).

Oh it's Spartan Shields, not Spartan Weaponry, that adds the enchants.
So shields have apparently these enchants:

Spikes (from BDB)

"Magic damage" in vanilla is only poison/harming potion effects afaik. I would expect Dungeons Gear to be compatible with vanilla only and not with the magic of other mods.
Apotheosis for example adds this affix, but I doubt Dungeons Gear influences it:

Amount of ram allocated. 8GB for all packs is ok if you have 12GB or more. see #faq for how to.
Remove SimpleRPC mod. Rollback FTBChunks to v46. Remove dynamicSurroundings. Remove Performant & optifine and then Install sodium-forge aka Halogen (See #faq for link) . Use GDLauncher https://gdevs.io/

You can try it with 6GB allocated and using the tips above^
But no guarantee that it will run smoothly.
Alternatively play the fabric version, it requires less RAM.

I know this is a couple days late, but I'm having a similar issue, two of my friends can't join while one of my other friends can, not sure if the DFML read timeout will help you, it didn't for me, we have it on the server and client, to add it to bisect: https://i.imgur.com/jKIDodT.png

They don't have a terrible connection, but the server is in Australia, they're from the US and Philippines

Yeah, he has ~100 ping to me, and he has a 75/75 connection which should be plenty
the US friend has 260 ping, but a 500/500mbps connection

Well so far so good, been playing for 10 mins on a lower view distance and he's yet to disconnect, best we ever got was 5 mins, only after restarting the server, most of the time it just flat out refused connection/timed out

Okay nice, ive found an item from the relic mod that is called a scareb and it needs to go into a talisman slot, but there is no talisman slot. Am i doing smt wrong or has it been disabled

The relics mod added a new item called a "belt". You need to equip one of those in order to unlock the talisman slot.

There is a Leather Belt, a Hunter Belt and a Drowned Belt. The former two you will find in villages, while the latter can be found in underwater ruins and ship wrecks.
