Possibly. Before you launch the game next time you could take out Magnesium again just to see whether there is any difference (to the better or worse). Sometimes these performance mods cause more harm than good in combination with 280 other mods.
anyone experianced server crashes when nearing/entering an end castle? Also of note our end castle is floating....

hey question, i havent played a modpack like this before and a few friends and i were interested. would we all be able to create our own civilizations and make them work together and/or fight each other?
there is minecolonies mod you can build cities with AI villiagers, guards etc.
i think there is an option to make multiple cities that are enemies
yeah does minecolonies work like where once you build a kingdom big enough they kinda do everything for you and you make money

yeah it's possible to make it so they do stuff by themselves but sometimes the ai is a bit scuffed
so this mod runs JEI and not NEI, but i'm really missing the inventory search function where you double click the search bar and it highlights items. any simple fix for that?
i don't know exactly what you mean but there is a search bar
this isnt a great example but this is what it looks like
so if he had a shear in his inventory then it would be the only item not greyed out. its really useful when you have a chest full of blocks that all look similar like stones and gravel

So I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm trying to get to The End, and I was told the Twilight Forest progression gives all eyes save for one, which you need to craft. But the TF progression only gives you 10 eyes, missing the Corrupted Eye. Is there any way to acquire it through question, or do I just have to find pillager outposts until I find it?

Alright. With Optifine the loading takes significantly longer (like 8 minutes in total). When it gets to "Freezing Data", don't click with your mouse and don't press any key. Just leave it alone for 10 minutes. If it hasn't finished loading then, ping me here.

i found a scarab talisman but i cant equip it at all. i tried all the bauble slots, and the accessory slots but the item is marked as something that goes in a talisman slot, not a charm, ring, bracelet, etc. i did try right clicking it with it in my hotbar and it cant auto equip.
Ahh, yeah. The relics mod added belts now. You will have to find a belt (from the relics mod). Those unlock talisman slot(s).
Enjoy the OP armor that you get from there. Make sure to have an extra yellow key before you enter it tho, it drops from killing any mobs within the vicinity of the castle.

There's a path that goes around on the outside, there's 4 rooms with various loot in there, most importantly the op netherite armor, then there should be a doorway going in, if you follow the path, it'll end off near 3 colored doors, keys are next to them in a dispenser I believe, unlock it using their color
Again though, make sure you have an extra yellow key, just one is needed at least

There are a bunch of different outposts now. The vanilla ones still exist, and also a couple new ones. All of them can have the eye.
They all drop, the red keys are given though from the blue doors also, only key you need to get a few from the mobs are a yellow key
So no need to worry about any of the other keys, as long as you don't accidentally close the doors, cause that uses a key
ah ok, but also i gotta run back to my town because they are getting raided and one guard just died
Oh no, definitely take care of that first, the castle can take up to 30 mins to clear if you don't try to speed run it

yep idk how but after i got message about pirates, two of my guards died, rip
and now i lost a third guard by the freaking apotheosis mini boss, they still spawn almost every night even tho i changed their spawn rate to 200
I'm amazed how that's possible :o
It's weird too, never had an issue with them spawning in my colony on v34
i think it's because of barracks, both guards from the barracks died
Btw, I set those mini bosses to 350 and get them about every 2nd night still, too. It's terrible.

They've honestly done a good job with it, barely any issues at all
Just builders bugging out every now and then, but that's fixable by doing the firing/rehiring trick

I believe there's not really many options of stopping the dmg effect, Someone said the witherite armor works but that's more towards the later game. Not too sure though
Shear the pumpkin, move the piston to make it drop, put it into the hopper to get in on top of the snow - will convert the snow into a snowman.
Then put water in that dispenser so you can actually get in and out of that hole too

How much RAM does your laptop have?

Then you'll not have fun with this modpack. The recommended amount of RAM allocated to minecraft alone is 8GB here (meaning your laptop needs to have at least 16GB of RAM). If you remove half the mods it's maybe playable but not this modpack anymore.

If you really want to play Medieval Minecraft, you could try the Fabric version. It has less mods (less content) but requires less RAM. You could maybe play that on low graphics settings.

@oblique wind On the fabric version it's still recommended to use 5-6GB of RAM but since you got only 8GB in total you should not allocate more than 4GB to minecraft.
To compensate that I advise to remove the SimpleRPC mod and DynamicSurroundings.
I found that one to do nothing, same with the bunch of pressure plates at one spot

@fossil trench It is indeed crashing because of the wyrmroost staff being a ticking entity, but I see that the lootbeam on items is involved in it. If you don't want to delete the entity directly I suggest to move the file "lootbeams" out of the mods folder and try to re-connect again.
I ended up just logging in 4 times and it seemed to fix itself

Besides the very obvious things like "don't try to fight a dragon without proper gear"... not much. You just should not start a town (from the Minecolonies mod) before you are able to feed, protect and equip your citizens with everything they need, including the ability to provide all the materials for building.

Is it literally just the symbol "@" that crashes you? There is the option to change the mod-ID-search-symbol in the JEI's config.
it's recommened to flatten almost an entire biome before you start minecolonies ๐ i did that and now i have so much wood, dirt and stone

Actually, scratch that. You can't change the symbol. But you can set it to "ENABLED" rather than "REQUIRE_PREFIX", then you can search for mod id without having to type "@".

I would assume that villager guards only protect vanilla villagers. It could be that they won't interfere if your citizens get attacked.

Optifine is not open source and the mod-developers don't allow the use in modpacks (unless the player adds it themselves). That's why other mod-developers don't feel the need to make their mods compatible with Optifine.

last time i used journeymap waypoints in nether i got teleported like 1000 blocks away from the waypoint and then for some reason i tried some command but i got teleported into the void and lost all my loot, thankfully had a backup save ๐

Journeymap is a bit weird in showing your position as X Z Y instead of X Y Z, so if you teleport to your "current coordinates" it might end up in the void XD
yeah well i was trying the command teleport to get myself back to overworld but i guess i forgot to put the dimension ID and got teleported into the void instead ๐

the server froze up with my friend in the air, when the server came up they were on the ground, serve rlagged out and they were in the air. Pretty sure for THAT on the server just got confused and was unsure where they were supposed to be and was messing with it till it resolved itself

No real notices there until we reset the server. When it resets we can see a spike in cpu usage and net in/out no ram spikes however

Indestructible cannot be applied to anvils, unfortunately.
In that case I would suggest to save the old world, start a new world and see whether the freezes still happen.

kinda related but i've had this issue in rlcraft where a massive structure would nearly crash my game but comes back in a few seconds later. i'm pretty sure it's partly caused by my PC not being strong enough to handle structures of that size loading in all at once

Yeah but RLCraft has massive structures like the Castle and the Ocean-Town. This modpack has big structures, but not as giant one that it should freeze for more than 2 minutes.

but it also does well with optifine and complementary shader, but i started getting some visual glitches, found out optifine causes that
haven't had any visual glitches since i stopped using optifine
