I think its better to find dragons and build your own forge, rather than finding the dread liches, they seem pretty rare

Thats up to you, i personally don't like to have silk touch on my main pickaxe
yeah, but the indestructible axe takes silk touch with it. It's been good for a spawner swiper, tho.
If I ever wanted to do anything with spawners, that is. XP is not an issue anymore (knowledge of the ages IV is OP)
You can split the silk touch and indestructible book with an anvil it just needs to have splitting enchant
the apotheosis enchantment library is also good for this
and is just awesome in general

i updated a world from v34 to v36 and now when exploring we can run into [23:14:08] [Server thread/ERROR] [minecraft/ChunkSerializer]: Unknown structure start: dungeons_enhanced:battle_tower spamming the log which causes a few seconds of server freezing every now and then
seems to be an issue with forge and removed mod's structures
I found this dungeon with piglin brute spawners, and it just gives me netherite gear out the wazoo. Not really needed, but still neat.

i'm encountering the same issue and it seems to be because of optifine on my end. I only have optifine because i like playing with shaders so i've been investigating it a little bit
i read an article a couple minutes ago suggesting better compatibility with optifine while using fabric
so i'm gonna try it out and if it doesnt work i'll just use the regular mod pack
Update: deleted optifine and shader packs folder from modpack file game will launch now

As far as I know, optifine is not compatible with fabric without OptiFabric, which is not the most reliable for fabric. There's alternatives to optifine for use of shaders, performance and the zoom feature that are more stable and are generally compatible with more mods than optifine
yeah the fabric version of these modpacks comes with iris i think
so i've never used iris and i'm looking into using different shaders
Hey guys just wandering my friends having a problem he starting as a netherborn and keeps crashing. he can play for bit but then it crashes again. is this a known problem

I go off in search of a savannah to kill Barako(bama)
I travel 3000 blocks on foot to the nearest one
and am immediately greeted by a lightning dragon fighting a cyclops.
Right on Barako's doorstep.
That dragon roost almost spawned inside the Barako village.
I was able to kill all three easily. I'm probably going to bump the difficulty to Hard at this point. This is getting easy.
does anyone know what issue with shaders causes the message gbuffer entities to appear in chat
so I changed to fabric version of medieval minecraft and it still had issues but i was able to get around it.
Fabric version has built in Iris+Sodium so you can access shaders in game and then go from there.
I also encountered another error while both playing with and without shaders
that being the framerates dipped horrendously
I was able to solve this issue by both changing how much ram the launcher and minecraft used itself
and that fixed the issue partially
so I found out that i had to go into the java settings directly and change how much ram base java had access too
input this line of code in runtime parameters
-Xincgc -Xmx"12"G
with the 12 being however much ram you need to dedicate in Gigabytes
i havent tried doing it with regular megabytes but i'd assume just taking the equivalent value of said gigabytes as -Xincgc -Xmx"0000"M instead
with "0000" being the value as discretionary to your needs
Is it possible to uninstall whatever mods are used for shaders, etc. and replace them with Optifine? I've been having a bunch of issues and can't even explore the Nether without constant crashing every few minutes. Not saying it's necessarily the issue, but it's one of the few differences between this modpack and other modpacks I've played and I wanna test if that fixes the issues
You'd have to use optifabric I think. Optifine isn't supported by most modpacks.
Which is why iris is such a big deal right now.
It's worked fine on the forge modpacks I've used. Only ever had to use Optifabric on, well, Fabric modpacks.
I just wanna be able to play the game without constantly crashing and not even being able to identify the issue. Literally can't go exploring specifically the Nether without getting a crash every 4 or 5 minutes while the game is perfectly fine anywhere else
And only having this issue on this modpack. Better Minecraft worked fine but, for some reason, I'm having issues now
I know what you mean. It seems like it's only a problem I've encountered with recent Minecraft update versions.
I'm just saying I've been able to fix my issue using fabric.
I can use optifine on rlcraft modpacks and it seems like valhelsia works too.
But I have encountered issues using optifine in the newer versions of Minecraft with just optifine+shaders with no additional mods.
I've heard better foliage causes issues too

Hi i was wondering if the lord of the ring mod would be a possible addition to the medieval forge modpack? (or maybe you already tried in the past) Because it just adds a dimension and shouldn't mess with the overworld right ? (+ the mod is still actively updated)

@woven epoch You can craft organic compost (dirt, rotten flesh and bonemeal) and place it down. If I understood correctly it will convert to rich soil over time.
Placing mushrooms on the compost may speed up the process.
yesterday i kinda started making a custom house building for the minecolonies and damn it's hard also i suck at making good buildings so i just copied the spruce house style 😅
You're brave 😄 I don't even try it. I just add things to the lvl 5 buildings. For example, I'm currently digging out a basement for the university. My plan is to make it look like a laboratory/research hall for "supernatural" creatures like dragons, cyclops, hydra and so on. While simultaneously serving as storage for that kind of stuff.
The fancy ceiling doesn't really fit to a laboratory, but I didn't feel like using another grey block...
At least the neon tubes fit the idea.

The earlier-proposed fix isn't working.
It's a stand-alone mod so nothing else breaks when you remove it. And it's seasons only, it won't really change anything gameplay-wise.

Then relaunch, shouldn't crash anymore.

Which host are you using?
Errr. I never used Linux so I cannot help with that. I know other people who use Scalacube as host, so it's possible at least. Perhaps you would get better support when you contact the host.
I have contacted them about this, but they don't respond during the weekend. I would have liked to have the server running for this weekend, but thanks for trying. 😄
The thing is that the log looks very much like a server setup error, and not a modpack error. I only know modpack-stuff XD

Would the name of the installer just be forge or would it include the version aswell?
I am fairly certain if I put "java -jar <name-of-installer>.jar --installServer" into start.sh it would fix my problem

Ive got two questions about this pack, specifically version 36. Is the way you gain enchanting experience changed? I dont seem to get any from killing mobs or mining nor does anyone else on my server. The second question, are friendly mobs (cows, pigs, sheep, etc.) disabled by a mod or something? Between the 8 of us that play, no one has found one.
You can hardly see xp orbs and it doesn't make the vanilla sound when you pick them up. They drop though. Does your XP bar not fill up at all?
I've seen cows, pig and sheep spawn naturally, but not as commonly as in vanilla (which is probably due to the fact that they share a spawn-cap with lots of other animals). You can find cows, pigs and sheep in some villages though and transport them home.
Yeah it usually doesnt fill at all. sometimes ill noticed that i have gotten some but a couple days of playing ive never been higher than lvl 2
my player ex level is only 4 and I gotten far enough that i have killed a dragon

yes magnesium mod removes that fancy effect when generating new chunks and also removes animations from moving items
but optifine adds those fancy enchanted book icons
Magnesium does only optical changes, it shouldn't break any game-mechanics.

I personally use Optifine, and the crashes I experience are not related to it.

but im using magnesium since the update, and it has never crashed before
but with optfinem i have experienced, invisible water, some bugged textures and 2 crashes

does this building look ok? i am trying to make a custom house building for minecolonies
this is level 3 building
So I'm having a bit of an issue. I've crafted 16 Eyes of Ender to find the nearest stronghold, and I'm right-clicking while holding an Eye but nothing is happening. The eye is not flying off toward the nearest stronghold. I'm playing in version 34 of the modpack.
Is that a bug, or intentional?
sad to tell you but you wasted the blaze rods because in this modpack vanilla eyes of ender are not working, there is a mod called End Remastered and it completely changes the way to get to End

there are now 12 different eyes, if you search End Remastered into the jei you will see what i meant
That looks pretty good as a mid level building, not too fancy, but not a basic shack
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't really get into MineColonies. I've tried once, on MnM, but all my colonists died within a day
Also I'm just basing that based off the other designs already in the game, so that's where it seems like it would fit

So how do I get to the End, now? There's 12 eyes, and only one of them has a recipe, the Witch Eye.
you find them by exploring, also check the pinned message about the eyes
You can get 11 out of the 12 from the Twilight Forest quest line, with only the corrupted eye needing to be found from the pillager outposts
And since you need to do that quest line anyways in order to get one of the eyes, since it doesn't have a recipe nor a drop chance from mobs/chests, you might as well just find the corrupted then do that line
yeah but i do feel like i made level 3 building a bit to big, there is a quite big jump from level 2 to 3, i might change some stuff

Forge has more content/mods at the cost of higher ram requirements and lesser performance, while Fabric has less content/mods needing less ram allocated and some better performance. Also the mods are not entirely the same, fabric has different mods available compared to forge.

it is cool, i have been having so many ideas for custom buildings but i too kinda suck at building structures, even now i'm mostly just copying spruce house buildings and then just adding something to them
They made it pretty easy to implement your own designs, just got the simple requirements to follow, like adding 1 bed per level for houses and such
i'm also kinda learning to build better structures
At least you do it. And when you got some experience maybe it becomes easier to add more ideas.
If the Barakoa Mask minions die, do they drop their mask?
I'm thinking it might be fun to do a Sun Chief playthrough: You start at a Barako village, only allowed to use the Barako mask as your helmet and must have at least one Barakoa following/present at all times

I believe they all do, but I haven't messed with them too much, just killed the boss for the quest
I've found the infested temple maps to be completely useless. Because you can only get them from Monasteries, but in my experience the monasteries only spawn right next to an infested tample
Alright, I just need a Wither, Guardian, Witch, and End Crystal Eye now. I can probably one-shot the Wither, and I've found an ocean monument, but breathing might be an issue. And I can craft the witch eye easily.
Any tips on finding a Ferrous Wraughtnaut?
Why would you waste your time on an ocean monument when you have to do the Twilight Forest quests for the End Crystal Eye, and get all the other eyes along the way?
Never seen a Wraughtnaut myself though.
Are there ways to refund your stat points? I may have made a misclick and put a point in the wrong stat lol
If you are on a private server/single player you can check how many levels you got (let's say you got X levels), then use the commands
/playerex reset RobinHoodies

Intelligence is certainly good because of the Lifesteal. I put only 20 into dexterity because if I put more I'll be so fast that going through doors becomes difficult. Luckiness on 100 because who doesn't like crits. Personally I am using the "Cowardice" enchant, so my max health is limited to 10 hearts. Hence no points in Constitution here. The rest goes into Strength.

I started turning Atum Relics into Godshards now, but man, to use these I need a full 10 stacks of Nebu drops. And that's rare like diamond, lol.

I think there is no way to see the "basic damage" of different bows. I tried to figure out the difference between my Diamond-Strengthened Longbow and the Power Bow from Dungeons Gear (which has boosted charged attacks), but they dealt identical damage with the same enchants.
Assuming that the Atum bows have the same "standard" base damage it wouldn't be a bad idea to use a bow from Atum. I only use the strengthened bow because it has a higher range.
Iirc, bows don't have any innate damage and base their damage on the arrows used. Power just enhances the damage of those arrows

The only thing that you could really modify to get better DPS is multishot, draw speed, or enchantments/effects that boost the arrow damage
True. That's why I tested the Power Bow which says:

Multishot sucks in my opinion. You are more likely to hit your pet than another enemy.
I was using the tri bow in Better Minecraft and that was pretty effective imo
Hmm, maybe it depends on the way it works. Last time I tried it was in RLCraft, with 2 enchants that stacked you were able to shoot 6 arrows at once. Usually only 1 hit tho, lol.

Like the shields, technically there's no change of how much it defends, just how much durability it has

Haha yep, having the ability to get indestructible really cuts out the use of some of the stuff in the mod

Meanwhile there's me unable to decide what armor set to go with over diamond pre-Nether so I just caved in and went with Diamond 
I did the same. Went from dia over half dia/half netherite to dragon scale armor. If you got some kind of protection-enchant dia armor is pretty good.
Yeah pretty much. The Dungeons Gear armor, while having a lot of utility, is unfortunately just mostly inferior protection-wise. Luckily, prot 7 and 8 aren't too hard to access with the Dungeons Arise structures
True. And as soon as you find Death Barter V you are unkillable. I fell into the void once and it couldn't kill me. At -2000 blocks I decided to die, so I did /kill. Even /kill is prevented by that enchant though. Had to unequip my armor to actually die.

I put the Electrified enchant on my armour, and now I shock everything every 10 seconds, even mobs I can’t see. Don’t get the electrified enchant

Sadly not all the makers decided to include a description so it wont show all of them, like the pyromancer enchants, but it gets most

Alternatively you could craft a Library from Apotheosis, it does the same as Splitting on an anvil. But it's not a cheap craft.

Only dragons I had issue with at first were ice dragons, getting the ice effect on you where you can't jump sucks

I pretty rarely encounter ice dragons, strangely enough. The one time I encountered one was quite early but since I got stupidly lucky, I already had a Phantasmal Blade and it was already whittled down by pillagers
There's not actually many biomes in which it can spawn
Most biomes, even the modded ones, are out of it's spawn specifications
Yep, if the biome has a bunch of ice and snow without the serene seasons doing it, it probably satisfies the ice drag spawn requirements but even then, it's rare

i just found out there is a mod Divine Missions which gives you xp if you complete a mission you pick, but there is also a timer on those missions

i have common, uncommon and rare missions, the rare one is kill a guardian, 7 spiders and loot 3 chests within 33 minutes

if you have a dragon/other flying mount, just fly around Atum looking for pyramids

How do I fix TPS lag on my server? Im running my own server with 4 threads and 36 gb allocated memory (6 gb of ram + 32gb linux-swap) and the server is very laggy for me and my friends. Vanilla minecraft runs without any lag issues. How do I fix this?
I had to set the max tick time to -1 to prevent the watchdog from stopping the server
Again, none of this happens on vanilla minecraft, and i have really fast internet

You need 8GB of RAM in single player already, I would think hosting a server yourself and having 2 other people load additional chunks and stuff will ask for even more memory from your machine. I dunno about linux, but it seems that the swap-thing isn't actually used as memory.
why are the mobs glitchy on the Luna Pixel server?

The swap is used as memory. After allocating more memory than my ram has, the swap partition noticeably fills up as the server starts up. Its normally empty
when i hit the mob it like slowly falls and they are slow to hit
Is the swap-partition fully used when you get the warning of "Can't keep up!"?
Because if your screenshots were made at the same time then you get those messages when the Mem is full, while the Swp is almost empty.
If that's the case it doesn't count the Swp as memory and complains about not having any more space to do calculations.
also when i mine it takes like 2 seconds to actually break the block

the swap partition is in use i get that message and does not suddenly shrink or grow, but both the memory and the swamp constantly grow and and shrink a few megabytes a second. If it didn't count swap as memory, it would probably throw an error after allocating 36 gb of memory to a machine that has only 6gb of ram

the os and background processes use 196 mb of ram on idle
i tried running the server again just now with swap disabled on my computer, and it gives me an error telling me it cannot allocate that much memory
swap does the same thing as a page file on windows
I know only 1 thing for sure: the modpack can run on servers with less than 36GB. So if your server says it is out of memory then it's caused by the server-settings.

No. That's not normal. Everyone else can set up a server without errors like that.

Maybe get rid of the current server you got and try a fresh install.
And I would suggest to try it with 5GB of RAM and 4-5GB of swap. Since you don't run it on the same PC as your client it should get along with 6-8 GB in total.

in my vanilla server i have 5.5 gb of ram allocated, its uses 2gb on idle, and swap isn't touched

The thing with RAM is that the server will always try to max it out, and only free memory when it reaches a high %. So when you allocate too much it will keep accumulating trash until it fills the entire memory.

Setting the limit a bit lower means it will free memory earlier and run smoother - usually.

I currently have my Axe of a Thousand Metals (Ferrous Wroughtnaut drop, base 9 attack damage, 0.9 speed) with an Execute and Overheal affix (20% overheal and executes at 20% health). At least one, maybe both, of those affixes cannot be put on swords. I'm seriously considering dropping my Phantasmal Blade for this as my main weapon.
Overheal, Execute, and armor piercing are all exclusive to axes. I've never used an axe as my main weapon. I guess now I will. Phantasmal Blade, you served me well.

When you use the library from Apotheosis you can just put all enchants on 1 book and add this single book to your sword. The complicated method of combining enchantment books is meant to compensate the increasing xp-costs of anvil-actions, but the library is not an anvil.
When you want to upgrade an enchantment on your sword later you can simply add the book on an anvil as well. It should count as second anvil action regardless.
Just note that you cannot combine Sharpness V with Sharpness V. Combining books ends at the vanilla limit. If you want Sharpness VI you will have to find/extract it as Sharpness VI from another item. Adding Sharpness V to Sharpness V would result in Sharpness V only still.

You can see which affixes it takes off before taking the tome out of the anvil. Enchanting an item will re-roll the affixes that get taken off here. That way you can make sure to always get the affix extracted that you want to get.

You just enchant a random item (like wooden shovel) on the enchantment table.
Enchanting an item on the enchanting table re-rolls every enchant for every other item in the game. Also re-rolls the dis-enchant of affixes.

Check the server's version in the server-list. Most servers are not updated to the latest version.

Why my friend gets "lost connection: Timed out" when he tries to join my server but me and my other friend can join fine? Earlier he could join fine but now it doesn't work.

Change the JVM parameter -Dfml.readTimeout=30 to -Dfml.readTimeout=60 on your server. Should allow longer load-in times for your friend.

What you could try is to lower the server's view distance in the server.properties. Then he has less to load when joining.

There is a mod comparing things with each other (like equipped items and backpacks).

I don't know if it's jsut me, but I've found like 7 Atum relics just in ruins/village chests

Yeah, you can find a lot in ruins. I wasn't very lucky though, got 2 double chests of relics without the one I wanted.
I ended up crafting torches of the god my artifact belongs to and kill a couple pharaos using those torches. That way I got an artifact of that god every time.

Yes, drowned belt's passive is not working. That's an issue of the Relics mod though and not a bug of the modpack.

If restarting the launcher doesn't fix it you could try a reinstall of the launcher.
But that's a bit much effort. I think for other people with this issue it fixed itself after a day or so.
I had the same issue. Fixed it by disabling content management for the profile, updating, then turning content management back on
not sure if you're having the same issue, but that's how I handled mine

Man. Optifine is so annoying to work around. It has so many features built in that I honestly can't live without, but the loading times are annoying and the no innate mod support is saddening.

You can thank the owners of it for that, they are very stingy on being closed source

Optifine has some features that Sodium/Lithium/Sulfuric and all the rest don't have. If you want dynamic lighting I think the only alternative is "Dynamic Lights" as a stand-alone mod. To get connected textures I don't know any alternative. And for the zoom I haven't seen an alternative either. Even the spyglass is not a replacement, as it works with Dynamic FOV only, unlike Optifine.
There's a fabric version for connected textures, most of optifines features have some sort of fabric port, but yeah, not all, but the majority of those ports if not all are open source

I mean, Optifine is just QoL mods all in one. Zoom, ability to control a bunch of different effects and particles, performance enhancements, etc.
There's a bunch of mods out there already that have all of those, but it's just not as convenient as having them all in one. Just kinda frustrating that the one mod that has all of it bundled is controlled by a bunch of stingy devs. I appreciate what Optifine has done, but it's kind of a dick move to keep it all to themselves for whatever reason

Is anyone else still getting the crash with Living Armour and is there a fix?
Put on a seemingly random piece of living armour, for me it’s boots, and all clients in render distance crash, followed by the server about a minute after.
You can use that to save XP, but honestly, with a soul enchanter and a sword with Looting, Scavenger, and Knowledge of the Ages, you'll never have to worry about XP again. Looting to increase drops, scavenger for a chance to drop the loot table twice, and Knowledge of the Ages to convert all those drops to XP. You can get to level 80 in like 5 minutes of farming lol
ya it's a good point, I just don't have any of those enchants yet. And I play with Twitch Integration enabled, so my viewers kill me about 500 times every stream

yes, actually. You can craft or find in towers a tome of scrapping
tomes of scrapping are an anvil surrounded by books for 8. Keep an eye out for the "indestructible" enchant, you can craft it with rare ingredients, or they're not uncommon in dungeon loot/apotheotic boss drops. Better than the mending/unbreaking combo by a long shot. And speaking of Apotheosis, keep an eye out for good affixes. I've got an axe that gives overhealing with every hit, executes at 20% health, AND pierces armor.
ah so a tome of scrapping can transfer an enchant off of armor/weapons? awesome!
I really wanna make it where I'm only using the enchants I find while adventuring...more fun that way
yup. it won't take ALL the enchants off, but which one it takes changes every time you enchant/scrap something else. And Apotheotic bosses drop gear with good affixes AND good enchants. A lightning strike heralds their spawning. I got a Netherite helmet that gave me 4 extra hearts right from such a boss literally day one of my current playthrough. And if your viewers keep killing you - the Skulk origin gives you access to 9 inventory slots that stay with you after death, and 3 1/2 armor base even when wearing no gear. The downside is you can't use shields, but shields from Spartan Weaponry are useable.

NP. Last few tips for now: If you get into Eidolon, there's a relic you can craft that reduces the amount of XP you lose on death. There's also an Atum relic that keeps all your current gear/inventory on death, but has limited uses. I'd assume if you managed to get an Indestructible enchant on it, you'd basically be playing with Keep Inventory on, but I've not tested that. And keep an eye out for the Death Barter enchant. Really high death barter enchants basically makes you unkillable. There's someone on here who had max death barter gear and jumped into the void, but never died.
You can also grindstone the item along with a book to get all the enchants kek
really? Never knew that. That makes it even easier. Unless you only want certain enchants and don't want to go through the trouble of splitting the book.

Replying to this now:
- There's a villager tool that attracts villagers to you. Otherwise, the best you can do is either vanilla methods or, if you have the end unlocked, using a Dimensional Carver along with a bed.
- Silk touch pickaxes, can also get spawner shards, craft them into spawners, then use the Capturing enchant from Apotheosis to get spawn eggs from the mob you want and using them on the spawner.
- XP tomes or a bucket item from Wandering Bags. Forgot the name of it

If you get to the End, summon, and defeat a Mutant Shulker, then you can transport villagers using the mutant shulker box. But that's pretty late game.

oh btw, I found a small possibly-bug over the weekend. Fought two gorgons yesterday, and both times they turned me into stone...but I think there might be a conflict with the corpse mod, because it deletes your armor completely. I guess it's supposed to make a statue of me with my armor, but it doesn't...just my corpse laying on the floor.
I haven't actually fought a gorgon yet, but I'll keep that in mind. Another ice and fire bug for you: throwing the tide trident turns it into a regular trident, for some reason. So don't bother making one, except for the achievement. I was very disappointed to find that out.

It's a complete overhaul of how you get to the End. You instead collect a number of different eyes from different sources (i.e., from Pillager towers, underwater structures, etc.)
A bunch of them can be gotten from the Twilight Forest questline, though

If it's giving you rar file you are downloading the wrong file, you have to click install and it will direct you to curseforge launcher app install
One eye is craftable, check the pinned messages for other eyes but also you can get other eyes from quests by killing bosses in twilight forest dimension

Overall the bug is cosmetic, the armor is not able to be retrieved even if we didn't have any mods that saved our items on death, since the petrified statues only give cobblestone. Essentially the armor breaks but is saved cosmetically on the statue but it's overridden by the corpse mod so the armor just disappears. Again, purely cosmetic, it's intended your armor gets nuked, which is why it's an annoying mob to deal with. Just trap her on the stairs so you can see her feet and kill her that way, easiest and safest way.
And it's not really something that can be fixed, it's due to how corpse mod handles the death so it overrides the statue effect

yeah you need 12 different eyes, that's how many portal blocks there is
Don't worry about the time sink of having to find each one individually, just find the corrupted eye from pillager outposts, then complete the twilight forest quest line when you want to, you'll have to do it anyway since it has an eye that you can't obtain by any other means.

The issue with having one already pre generated is that a decent amount of stuff can go wrong with that and the performance required to generate it properly, also yeah, what knight race?

Minecolonies is on the 1.17 modpack, and they do have a 1.17 version
It's just quite an investment, the colony isn't quite as self sufficient as you would think without having quite a few resource buildings of each type
I just looked at the curseforge page and the dependences, possible its not on the later versions of it no idea since I haven't tested the 1.17 myself
I had expected just the music at first, then the level up sound got me, I put that soundpack in just about every modpack/normal vanilla mc game I play now
I honestly didn't even know soundpacks were a thing, thought it was only through mods
Also that's weird that you don't have minecolonies on the version you installed, is it forge 1.17 or fabric 1.17? because I just downloaded the forge 1.17 and it has it

At the moment, forge 1.17 doesn't have as many mods as 1.16 or fabric 1.17 due to the fact that some of them aren't ported to the new version yet, so keep that in mind

there is simple storage network mod, it kinda works the same as refined storage mod

You can trade 1 iron ore for 2 iron ingots with goblins. I used to do that and now I sit on half a double chest of iron blocks. What do you need so many ingots for XD
So my server just updated the modpack to v37, and I tried to use the Blood Magic's living armor set, and I got this error when I put on the armor's chest piece:
is there any way to reduce the lag in forge version of this modpack? fabric is very smooth, yet forge is lagging despite allocating 8gb of 16 gb total avaible ram and gtx 1650 ti

I also allocated 8 out of 16GB RAM and my laptop is equipped with a GTX 1650 Ti as well. I use Optifine and if I don't limit the fps it goes up to 140 fps. It seems like some other settings of yours are lowering the performance.

Yes, it exists. It spawns in Nether Wastes and Crimson Forests.

they are not op, i don't even use those weapons anymore and when i did i only used the diamond bow

Try the /locate command on them. There were some people before who - for unknown reasons - didn't have Crimson Forests generate in their nether.

Your best bet is to move everything important out of the Nether and delete the dim-1 folder in your save to re-generate the Nether. Hopefully it'll have some Crimson Forests then.

I don't think you could've done anything wrong. It's either the seed of your world or the world-type I guess.
After reading again what 2 other people said who had the same issue it seems that you have to create a new world if you want to get Crimson Forests.
But it would suck to start all over again just for this, so here is what I would do:
- Create a new world, with the origin Blazeborn.
- Go into Creative Mode and explore the Nether until you find the Nether Keeper. Stay in Creative, don't fight/destroy it but make sure the entire region is rendered.
- Replace the DIM-1 folder of your actual world with this new DIM-1 folder that contains the Nether Keeper.
- That's it! You can keep playing your old world in survival. Even if exploring new terrain in the Nether will never generate a Crimson Forest again you still have the Nether Keeper in it.
Yeah, and worst case, if playing with cheats on, or on a server where you got op, just spawn it in via the spawn egg
That's what I had to do because it was the easiest way, I'm one of the ones that had the world gen issue not generating the 3 out of 4 vanilla nether biomes, only soul sand valleys

Ah, Crimson Forests. The one biome that I spent half a day searching for at one point 
I just kept teleporting a range of 10k blocks at a time and running /locatebiome to find it, never did after 100k blocks worth of jumps in multiple directions
I've mostly taken to the ideal that if there's a bug in the modpack that prevents progression, I'll just cheat things in. It's a singleplayer world anyways
Yeah, always good to have cheats enabled, modpacks aren't perfect
Nothing against those that put them together though, I was more meaning the difficulties to get rid of all bugs, especially if they're not even fixable by the modpack author
Question. Server updated to v37, we didn;t start a new world and our server crashed while throwing up errors about biomes and buildings(From the removed mods) any ways to fi this short of starting a new world?
The mods that got removed in v37 created neither biomes nor buildings. Which version did you use previously?
v35 iirc and the astemirs created stuff liek dandilion forest and pearlstone mini biome things didn't it?

oddly enough pearlstone caves removed just fine, just the dandelion hills and battle towers that are throwing up errors and I assume what might be causing the crashes. Hoping there is a way to fix without a whole reset. May I ask another question? 😮

if you get a dwarf to level three in trades you can get a contract to summon a dwarf, *unsure if that part is needed) but you cna sometimes exchange a dead travel stone for an active one but when ever i use it it just always says the market is closed

you gotta trrade with em till level 3, dunno if they ALWAYS offer the trade though. But you also need to find a dead travel stone first

There is a performance mod in this pack called Roadrunner. Try what happens when you remove that mod.
whats it do exactly if you know at least. I'm not sure if I or they know enough about removing individual mods from modpacks

Roadrunner is the forge-version of the fabric mod Lithium. They are supposed to make rendering faster and fluently, and increase the fps this way.

Ohh. Yeah, the whole crash report is about Roadrunner XD I can't see an other mod mentioned in it.
Yeah, those errors are unfortunately not avoidable (since the structures are gone indeed), but they should never lead to a server-crash.

The fortunate thing is: even if you crash after removing Roadrunner you'll get a different crash-report (:
And that makes it easier to find the actual cause (in case Roadrunner is only suffering the consequences and makes it look like being the cause).

You/your friend got access to server files (like where he got the crash report); now it matters whether he can access the list of installed mods as well.

That's great. Then they may go to the mods folder and simply move the roadrunner file out of it (moving it to a different location instead of deleting makes it easier to add it back later).

well, I wanted to use wither Seth's Venom or Isis's Duality from Atum as my main bow, but they only work with regular arrows. They'll take other arrows, but they turn into regular arrows when fired. And at least for Isis's Duality, infinity won't work with modded arrows, only regular. And even though there are two arrows, they only fire half as far as a regular bow.
I thought infinity only works with standard arrows anyway. Which modded arrows are you using?
Well, Infinity works with the dragon bone arrows for the dragon bone bow. I tried using stymphalian bird arrows, tide arrows, and broadhead arrows. When used with the Atum bows, all were consumed and turned into regular arrows when fired, so they didn't even get the special effects of the arrow.
I guess the question becomes whether the special effects of my Atum bow of choice is worth having a bit weaker base power of the bow.
Do you know the difference between vanilla arrow and dragon bone arrows? Or is it like with bows - they do all the same? XD

I still can't decide: stick with my dragonbone bow+arrow, or switch to an Atum bow (only regular arrows, so a bit weaker, but with extra effects)? Don't have tri-bow since I'm not doing TF until I'm done with Everbright/Everdawn

Atum bows I'm considering: Seth's Venom (poisons), Horus's Soaring (charged arrows fly straight, basically a stmphylian bird arrow), and Shu's Breath (charges faster)
probably not. Once you have overenchanted Power everything basically dies instantly anyway.

I thought about changing bow as well, but the range of other bows is so much smaller than what I've got used to now. At this point it feels like range is more important than damage.

Mine only ever got raided when I was nearby. Not sure if they can even get raided when none of the claimed chunks is loaded.

Yeah, I also doubt it. Would be some crazy mechanic if the game could calculate imaginary actions in areas that are not even in the memory.
so what amount of ram would you say keeps a server stable? we have 6 right now and only like 4 or five people and it stays near overloaded.
If 6 is not enough, 8 or 10.
