You can transfer the enchants, but you cannot keep the pick. Since disenchanting will destroy the pick.
also save the journeymap folder if you don't, the map won't be explored and waypoints will be gone

Having full food/thirst bars will slowly restore energy. I heard you can also eat sweet berries or drink sugar water for refill it.
Using right mouse button (like placing blocks, harvesting crops, opening chests) and sprinting will drain your energy the most.

Yeah, not sure what caused that. They worked fine in v27.5. You can make Cincinnasite shears though, they are still able to harvest grass.

Not easily. They're not meant to be reset by default.

You can edit the config and set it to "reset on death", then die in game, and change the config back.

Yes, it does change it.
How do we get to it then?
You need to complete the Twilight Forest quests to get 12 different eyes, which you can throw and also place into the portal frame the eyes will lead you to.

Not necessarily. It was 31.5k blocks for me personally, but it could as well be more for you/others. All I know from other people (and myself) that at one point they will change direction and indeed lead to a gate.

Ah no, I've read more into it now. You cannot craft those pedestals and they are generated in the end only (so it's a way from end-overworld, not overworld-end). Welp.

i hate those freaking special mobs that spawn from lightnings, i lost so many villagers π
Unfortunately mega torches are not full protection. I had those Apotheosis mobs spawn inside my walls right next to a mega torch.
i just lost 3 guards, because illagers came into my town and then the freaking special zombie spawned
i might decrease spawn rate of the lightning, it's getting pretty annoying
Same. 100% un-climbable wall and the entire area covered with those torches, they sometimes still spawn in the middle of it.
Just last night had a special enderman. Luckily endermen don't attack citizens, lol.

For the mega torch to fully protect you, you need to manually input the mobs into the config I believe

Best to just light up the place tho, it's quite tedious to input each one individually
The mega torch is 99.9% protection, so it's highly recommended. The only downside is that your guards won't get any XP / level up because there won't be mobs for them to fight.

Also, for easy lighting up an area you can use the Feral Flare Lantern, also by Torchmaster.

Recommended allocated is 8gb, I do 10gb just to make sure it runs with excess

Yes. Step 1. Go into configs. Step 2. Turn it off. Personally I changed the values so that it regens really fast. So I can still get "winded" and need to take a breather but it doesn't last long.

It's really rare, i once took like 3 hours to find one ore, but sometimes you can be lucky, try exploring those huge cave biomes

I installed halogen, and the fps is good when you do nothing, about 90, but when you walk or move the camera, the fps drops to 30. how can I fix this?
It makes the item not have durability anymore. It becomes unbreakable.
How was it without Halogen?
with optifine its about 30-40 fps all the time
Try lowering chunk-rendering and removing particles.
Is there an enchantment that keeps it inventory on death
Curse of Binding for armor. Has a downside to it though. Haven't seen anything similar for tools/other items.
Well, actually. You can get those things from Twilight forest that let you keep your entire inventory on death.

Charm of Keeping I will save the item you're holding on death, Charm of Keeping II wil save your hotbar on death, and Charm of Keeping III will save your entire inventory on death.
It's not an enchant though, more like a totem of inventory, lol.

It's gonna go away like nothing XD I started with 2 double chests of spruce logs and 1 double chest of birch logs. There is nothing left of it anymore. My builders used up all of it a couple days ago.

yeah hh also this backpack with the stack upgrade and magnet has been so useful, everything gets picked up in an instant
True. I also use the Refill-upgrade, it's great for terraforming without having to switch slots all the time. You'll just hold 1 stack of dirt and place as much as you want, the backpack keeps the stack full.

Hmm. It doesn't really say that, but I read that there is a "eyesinthedarkness-server" config where you can adjust the spawn rate. If you wanna "remove" it without messing up anything the safe way might be to set the spawnrate to ~0 there instead of just deleting the mod.

I've found that you can use simple storage remote anywhere as long as you force load the chunk the network lives in (through the FTB teams menu) so maybe that counts?
I was actually looking for a block solution. For example, if i build a pigling bartering farm, can i let the resulting items get imported into my Storage in the overworld?

What're those white beacons that're here and there? I used creative mode to investigate and couldn't find anything and they disappear when i approach.

The white beacons are from the ftb map, default key to open it is m. Just disable ftb death waypoints.

i'm not sure, search for the ore in any of those huge caves, i was once lucky and found 4 ores but i did explore the cave for like 2 hours

Supposing that they spawn at night only and not in darkness in general. Otherwise you'd get them in caves at daytime still, lol. But it sounds like they spawn only at night.

In the town hall there is a list of all active work-orders. Make sure it is cancelled there as well. And afterwards go to the builder and recall him to the hut.

Ya, normally the builder or any other ai will show a red cog like when they need tools or blocks when their ai stops functioning right, when that happens, fire and re hire
And they will say the message saying "it looks like my ai isn't functioning properly" or something along those lines
I had that one single time only and it was when I broke their working block XD

Offerings = items you can give to the statue to increase favor. Sacrifices = mobs you can kill to increase favor.
Blessings = benefits you get from certain levels of favor.
Hostiles = which mobs will attack you when you got bad favor.
So wait if I got favor with them they wont attack me?
I think it's only the other way around. Neutral mobs will attack you if you got negative favor.
That's how it is, some mobs will become hostile upon a certain favor range, typically more on the low side, from what I read

You can get some cans of compressed air for decently cheap from the store, most places have some in their electronics section
Works well enough and you don't really have to worry about blowing things out of place, as long as you don't put it right up to a plug

Yes, but there's no risk involved in it, just short bursts from half a foot away and pretty much all the dust will be blown out, I've never had an issue using it on my computers
Typically, you're more likely to ruin something using a vacuum on a pc than compressed air, mostly comes down to the range of which it affects, vacuums suck in way more air than the cans of air blow out, since the can has a tiny nozzle that is very direct
Though, I'm only going based off of what others have said with that since I've never used a vacuum for it

I see. Idk, I just felt like that compressed air with that tiny nozzle is more like a laser compared to a torchlight. The vacuum cleaner sucks in more air but with a much wider pipe, so that there is less pressure/cmΒ² overall.
The difference is that if you move the vacuum nozzle just a bit off of the heatsink and above a plug or other part, you might suck that plug out of it's socket, depending on how loose it is, since most vacuums low setting is still decently strong since they aren't made for precise use on sensitive products, so as long as you have it over the heatsink only, it's alright
But I am not vacuuming it, I am blowing it, considering you have have that option on your vacuum to instead just suck to blow too.

Spawner scrap is only dropping when you use a pick with Silk Touch.

And the spawner made with the spawner shards is an upgraded undead spawner
But neither drop the spawner scrap
Ahh. So that's what "Enabled Spawner module from Apotheosis" means in the changelog to v34. I am still playing on v31, so I cannot test it, sorry. Might be that Apotheosis overrides the Forbidden&Arcanus drops. Then Sharkie has to fix it.
Okay, I've got an issue here: I'm playing on a server with this modpack, and I just worked myself to creating a set of "living armor" with the Blood Magic mod. The thing is, as soon as I put the armor on, I got disconnected from the server, and I'm unable to log back in. I'm getting "internal server error".

Also, you are forced to do the Twilight Quests to get the Ender Crystal eye (since they disabled the craft of it), so you'll get all the eyes anyway. The Twilight Quests also give the eye you'd get from outposts.

I don't have the new deeper dark yet. But from what I have heard it is a block near bedrock that you need to break. Maybe type the name into JEI. If it's a block it should show up, so you can at least see what it looks like.

how much ram is best to set for this modpack? i have 16 gb
i downloaded the modpack but my loading screens are really slow i only have like 8gb of ram i increased it to 6gb usage still really slow and when i get into a world its REALLY laggy to the point its unplayable
8GB RAM is recommended, and also required. You don't really need more than that either in most cases.

When your PC has only 8GB in total then you'll have a hard time running this pack fluently.
Also you shouldn't allocated more than half your ram to 1 task.
Allocating all of it would be a good way to cause a bluescreen
You can try on lowest graphics, with Halogen/Optifine, disabling as much as possible, 4 chunks render distance... but whether it will help and whether you'll have fun playing like that is a different question.
Perhaps you'd be better off playing the Fabric version, as it is less heavy. You'd get away with 5GB there I guess if you play on low settings.

I'm currently not ingame to send a screenshot. I hope I can explain it understandably without, lol.
When you hover over a research-option it will say the requirements for the research. You need certain buildings at certain levels in order to do certain researches.
When your buildings are at the correct level, you can have the required resources (like 16 hay bales) in your inventory, click the research and it will start researching.
(Given that you assigned one of your citizens as researcher to work at the university).
The research will take some time, depending on the tier of the research. I think it's 30 minutes for tier 1.

You can assign 1 more researcher to the university for every build-level. A level 5 university can keep 5 researchers busy, and you can research 5 (also according to building level) researches simultaneously.

Today I finally updated to v34. And for some reason the Optifine-bugs in the Overworld are fixed now. I can see rain normally and blue spruce trees are actually blue now instead of green. in the Twilight Forest nothing changed, but the Overworld is fine now.

yeah those trees might still be bugged, but if you do find or you can just check the pink cherry leaves from oh the biomes mod, those are the ones that turned green with optifine

Yes actually, the Waystone mod has some warp plates, all are craftable and not really expensive at all, search for it in JEI for the recipe.
To use them: Place warp plate #1, take attuned shard #1 by right clicking on it and grabbing it from the inv screen that pops up, place warp plate #2, take attuned shard #2, place attuned shard #1 in warp plate #2, place attuned shard #2 in warp plate #1, now warp plate #1 and #2 are linked and you can tp between them by standing on them for a second or so

If you don't have the ability to tp via waypoints, I'm lazy so I use the journymap waypoints tp on my SP world
For large distances the waypoint mod is certainly better. Though "elevator" sounded a lot like moving up and down within the same building. Where warp plates might be a little overkill. You'd also need one set of plates for every floor, right?

You can make a red geode pickaxe which can mine obsidian, also you can find broken portals and obsidian can also be found in chests

From what I've read about it Magnesium doesn't change what the game looks like. It's more like Optifine without shaders. Simply replacing the rendering engine and reducing lag.

So I mentioned two days ago about crashing out of the game with this modpack on a 3rd party server, and I figured out what is going on: the Blood Magic mod's "living armor" chestpiece crashes the game if you put it on. It doesn't do anything in single-player, it works as intended, but it crashes the game if you use it on a multiplayer game.
What irritates me though is that there is no portal at all. Usually the unlit end portal is in the middle and gets activated once you defeated the dragon. But... there is not even an unlit portal here.

You should have less problems than before even. Just make sure to remove Magnesium on client side if you use Optifine/shaders.
Magnesium was just added with the newest version.
Kinda as replacement for people not using Optifine.

Ya, you'll need some, the minecolony protection system does try to prevent mob spawns, but it tends to bug out when it comes to modded mobs, and some will spawn, unless that's from outside your border
mega torches seem to be working for now, i just here and there find spots where mobs still spawn, i also decreased spawn of those apotheosis bosses

For some structures you can make them less common (like the Satyr camps), for others not. I heard that the MedievalCraft castles spawn annoyingly often - I just removed that mod XD

It's probably related to how it's a port, not going to be a perfect replica, I believe it doesn't have the issues that optifine does with some mods like twilight Forest, so it's just an alternative for people to use, I could be wrong tho, I don't use either

Soulsand at the bottom. A line of 3 soulsand on top of that (like you'd place iron blocks to make an iron golem), and then 3 wither skelly skulls on the 3 soulsand.

Maybe something limiting the spawn-area around the player? If 100 per chunk is normal, perhaps they spawned in caves before mostly, and now caves are out of range and they spawn all on the surface instead.

In specific, I want to edit Survive's stamina consumption values, since I like to use Ars Nouveau's magic to mine, and the mod does not recognize the spellbook as a "valid tool", so I end using WAY too much stamina.
find the survives config in your config or world /serverconfig folder
edit the parts you want.. save it.. load back up

Hmm. From what I read on the internet it's a mod-caused issue, not client-side. You might be better off then contacting the server's customer service, tell them about the problem and ask them kindly to set up the server again.

Howdy, We seem to be having an error where one of my players on my server are currently in the new end biomes and it is crashing the server upon him joining. I have taken the error out of the server console if you would like it sending. Do you have any advice please? π

My wild guess would be that the GreekFantasy mod didn't manage to check/act on the player's favor in the new End.

In \saves[nameOftheWorld]\playerdata there is a file with your UUID. It contains your current position and dimension.

Ticking entity error is one of the random (but rare) crashes. I had that in the last version 1 or 2 times even.
the only error i had until now was when the world stopped loading but i forgot what that error was saying, i do kinda remember it wasn't a ticking entity

set these both to true
boot up server and go to effected area
it will fix it
