This build has mods for Seasons and you can change the time there somehow. I wanted to know how exactly this can be done.
and if we talk specifically, then for the server
Go to the server's config folder and edit the betterdays-common.toml file.
daySpeed = 1.47
nightSpeed = 0.6
Are these static variables or do they change with the seasons?
In the sereneseasonsplus config it says
[seasonalDaylightCycle]
#Enable seasonal daylight cycle. This will change the length of day and night based on the current season.
enableSeasonalDaylightCycle = true
so I would assume that the seasons have an effect on it as well. You could set the SeasonalDaylightCycle to false though and have it only defined by the daySpeed and nightSpeed.
The thing about the seasons changing and the time of day and night changing with them is very good, but I would like to somehow make the day itself longer because it goes by so quickly.
I have a question: if I change the speed of day and night here or switch to a different mode, will the feature with changing the time with the seasons work?
That's something you could test (perhaps easier to test in single player rather than restarting the server all the time): When you join the world the latest.log says something like:

[14:49:56] [Server thread/INFO]: Season: EARLY_SPRING ? DaySpeed: 1.09, NightSpeed: 0.92
Change the season with /sereneseasons setseason mid_winter, for example, and see if after relogging the DaySpeed and NightSpeed are different.

nightSpeed = 1.28
Now you just need to change the config values and see how the same season's values change in the log.
I changed the settings in the configs, but Minecraft itself changed them back

When I changed the config to 1.08 and 0.93 it reset it for me as well. When I changed it to 2.5 and 0.5 it didn't reset the config but the daySpeed and nightSpeed aren't mentioned in the latest.log anymore, it simply disappeared 😆 I have no idea what's going on there. There doesn't seem to be any other config that mentions daySpeed or nightSpeed as far as I can tell.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

hello, anyway to make minecolony guards better? Is it as simple as upgrading them? They consittently die to the kitsune and something called a jorogumo. Like over and over again. I have 3 level 3 guards. Anythig yall would recommend?

I haven't made a colony in this modpack so I don't know how hard it is to keep them alive, but I'd suggest to enhance their armor with Apotheosis (there are some good affixes and gems that grant lots of armor and defensive perks) and give them a weapon with a lifesteal affix.
Ok ill try that thx they cant wear modded/enchanted Armour till level 5 so ig ill have to get them there. The colony aspect is fun but if you dont like management I wouldn't recommend it
Okay, not wearing enchanted is tough. You can put Apotheosis affixes on unenchanted vanilla armor though, I suppose they should be able to wear that.
Unless Minecolonies has a way to detect the Apotheosis modification, I don't quite remember. Last time I had a colony was in 1.16.5.

a member of the server I'm on is having this issue on medieval mincraft 5 when they join a server. this happens with any launcher. how do we fix it?

in MMC 4 is there a way to filter out only apotheosis affix items to salvage, most nbt filters seem to not work on anything that isnt vanilla

I don't think there is. Aren't those rings from Iron's Spells? As far as I know there is no specific compatibility for IceAndFire, so there are only rings for "vanilla damage".

Either avoid getting in range of it, or dodge his attacks while using range weapons yourself. Later when you have a good armor set with Apotheosis attributes and increased health you won't take much damage from them anyway.

No, the only way to obtain a tame dragon is to hunt a female tier 4 or 5 dragon, get an egg drop and hatch it.
also um. is it normal that when i looted the dragon, which i just killed (which had its skin) it didnt drop anything but bones/its skull?
If you use bottles to get blood from it, it will not drop scales, flesh or its heart. If you want those things (and potentially eggs), don't use bottles on the corpse.

Hmm, that also depends on the level that the dragon is (the more points you have in your skill tree and the further from spawn, the higher the level of the dragon). A bow might also be more useful than a sword - I wouldn't recommend a melee fight with it.

Errr, to my knowledge it deals the same base damage as a vanilla bow, just has more durability (if you're not shooting dragon bone arrows at least). So I'd say if you fear that the bow breaks too easily it depends on your resources: either a dragon bone bow or just Unbreaking on a vanilla bow.

It might actually be that the dragon bone bow only fires dragon bone arrows, I don't quite remember.

Why when you equip some relics (example flaming bracers) you got insta kicked from even singleplayer world?
Also have issue, when reached out for dragon-boss-i-dunno-which-mod-this-from with some sort of cinematic, camera stuck in the middle of cinematic. Happened on self-hosted dedicated server, death\re-joining\reopening server not helps at all. World kinda dead for both players

Having the same issue as well with flaming bracers.
Also, equipping Archmage's Gloves from Reliquified Ars Nouveau causes ticking timeout when the player takes damage from falling. Also janks incoming arrows and causes ticking errors on them

It was the archmage gloves 100%. Not sure what was causing them to crash the server on fall damage, but all interactions which damaged a player with those gloves equipped caused some form of ticking issue

Hello, I was wondering how to get the featherweight enchant on armour, I'm using enchanted seashelves and getting up to level 54 enchants in mmc4

Villagers are one way to get the enchantment. Since it's a treasure enchantment you won't usually find it on the enchanting table, unless you have a Deepshelf of Arcane Treasures in your setup. Then you can get it from the enchanting table as well.
If it didn't load after 5 min, send the latest.log file.

If it's not the world that's the problem then I'd suggest to make a fresh install of the modpack and move the world-folder over (simply copy from \saves to \saves).

Hello. First time using a modpack. I made the mistake of updating mods whenever I was asked with a prompt on CurseForge. My game crashes on launch now. Just looking for guidance on how to revert to the original Modpack and still being able to continue the world I was playing in.

Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

Hey guys, I'm trying out this modpack with my friends, and I picked pixie. I'm quite confused about its playstyle. Am I supposed to focus on using magic, or should I use weapons? What weapons or spells should I aim for, and which spell system is the best or most fun? Armor confuses me a lot too. I am trying my best to keep up with my friends, but I'm having a hard time ;-;
Also how does skill tree levels work are they coralated to normal levels?

Some progress in the modpack is bound to the mob levels (particularly Apotheosis). If you don't want to lose that aspect of the modpack but still want to avoid mobs getting stronger at all, I'd suggest to set all attribute bonuses per level in the autoleveling-common.toml config file to 0.0

Are you sure you looked at mobs that spawned after the config change and not mobs that already existed prior to the change?
If new mobs still spawn with increased stats, replace your config with this one (if you're on a server, make sure the server's config is replaced as well). I removed the attribute-stats entirely and tested it, mobs spawned with default values even at level 140+

For the majority of devs this is a hobby, asking when a project they're working on will release adds unnecessary pressure. The only thing that increased pressure does is contribute towards demotivation and burnout, causing the project to take longer.

Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.
Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab, this is important as OSX WILL crash the game on Mac.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

what does it mean when armor have the effect called Can be imbrued?
It means that you can put a spell from Iron's Spells on the chestplate, effectively saving a spell slot in your spell book. Simply put the armor piece and the spell into an Arcane Anvil.

It's worth the time to get a Mending villager. Keep breaking and placing a lectern without trading with the librarian until one of his visible trades is Mending. Usually takes about 2-3 iron axes worth of lectern-replacing.

Medieval MC 4 - v39 crashed. The logs have been uploaded to gnomebot.dev:

- Game and server crashes everytime, but only after I removed some mods I did not want (supposedly deleted any dependencies as well)

MMC4 is a good choice, to fix the campfire recipe you just need to add [this file](#medieval-mc-forge message).
Go to the nether and extract them from soulsand. Depending on the amount you might want to put an Eternal Stella on the soul extractor so that it doesn't break.

Hi, does anyone know if you can do to the classes in mmc5 what you can do to the origins in mmc4. meaning if the origis is missing in mmc 5 but you still want to get attributes like feys or ogers can you do this in world or is origins now gone?

As far as I know the classes in MMC5 only determine your starting gear. Skill trees, attributes etc should be the same for everyone.

My spellbook gives additional mana through the skilltree perk "mana for mana regen", but this spellbook doesn't give mana regen as far as I can tell.
Gonna try to find my other spellbooks to see if all of them do it.
Ohh, okay. It's because I also have the perk to get mana regen for Ender spell power, so it translates Ender spell power into additional mana. Nevermind.
@molten vigil You're probably delighted to hear that there is another thing you may fix in MMC4 :) I'm pretty sure additional mana from spellbooks worked in the past, for some reason they are not providing the stated mana anymore in v39.

Is there a way to prevent honeyed archers from spawning? My MineColonies lumberjack and guards keep dying to Honeyed Archers despite use of magnum torches for mobs and creatures. Noticed in this channel that someone else asked the same question but didn't really get an answer.

In MMC5 the Magic 1 skill tree needs significantly more xp to level up in comparison to the Combat one, is that by choice? Is there a way to configure it on a server to be less?
You can either add them to the magnum torch config, or - if that doesn't work - disable them completely in \config\ysns\disabled_entities.json

so i have been having an issue with the modpack, where after a bit of exploring in the world, stuff just stops working properly. example would be i was just exploring the ocean, and got to land, but it wouldn't let me exit the boat. when i tried to break a sand block to see if there wasnt enough space or something, the sand did not drop. i have had similar things happen in the first two versions, where i would try to break a bed and it would break one half and not the other, and still not drop it, and also i would try to open a chest, furnace, crafting table, etc. and it would not open.the only way i can fix it is by fully relaunching the modpack, which takes a while. has anyone else had this issue? if so, is there an easier way to fix it?
also, whenever i save and quit a world, it gets stuck on the saving world screen. it isnt frozen or not responding, but it just stays there and never changes.

From what I played, it has great potential. I did encounter 1 issue that broke my game while I was exploring caves.
Do you remember the goat episode on the BMM server? Well I had the same thing happen but with zombies.
An onscreen message stated that an undead army was approaching from the west and then zombies started dropping from the roof of a cavern. Within 30 seconds I couldn’t move from entities and then the game crashed.
Other than that, I was having fun playing it

And the texture of things like sandstone for ores are vanilla and are not like the texture pack used. I know that this would be a huge feat of making everything consistent of the texture pack, but it's just something that I notice that is probably worth noting imo
that's all though, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining too much
as much as I like the texture pack that's used, It brings a lot of inconsistencies for modded items that use vanilla textures and keeping it consistent would be a huge challenge. The only modpack I can think of that has done this right is tekkit

Hey so whenever I get near a spawner of like any of the dungeons or whatever.. my game crashes because it cant spawn the monsters somehow.. I restart the game and then they spawn but now I was just in the big ampitheatre building and there it crashed when I got near the spawner and when I restarted it crashed again.. I have allocated enough RAM, have optifine what else can I do to fix that😅

In your video guide for the servers regarding world generation you don't mention that obviously the corresponding name of the terraforged profile should be chosen (i.e. MedievalMinecraft, BetterMinecraft) etc. Just in case you ever want to correct it

with terraforged the performance was eh, but with realistic it's smooth
and with my new update it will be even better but it will require a new world unfortunately

Haven't tried any shaders so far. IMO the performance goes way too much down the drain especially if you go around adventuring
Once you add Optifine, there should be shader packs already supplied
For performance, Tea works best. For nice visuals, Complimentary
Used both, was at steady 60+ with Complimentary and 90+ with Tea

i had the same problem as you, but i deleted the profile and downloaded it again (on curseforge launcher) and it works for me.. this far. before that i couldn't loot chests, or pick up items and the chunks wouldn't load so i fell down

Yeah I just cant get the medieval pack to work unfortunately, it was working but now after some period of time the world stops loading correctly
And then no matter how many times i restart it will never recover

No worries. Some further info, the map seems to load for a bit and then the server enters a period of high load suddenly when walking in a certain direction. Judging from the lag, it seems it might be trying to load stuff that doesn't exist or isn't instantiated properly potentially. Had to put it on a pastebin as too big for discord.

I tried disabling torch slab as that seemed to be generating the most errors, but hasnt made a difference
i also have a problem of the game saying "lag: deleting entities"

The modpack has lag removal, so it's probably just configured with either an entity threshold or just a timed clean up

I decided to test without both torch slabs and project vibrant journey and now get a crash when generating a mowzie mobs thing. Maybe terraforged is the base culprit?

Yeah Terraforged has plenty of bugs still and the mod developer isn't updating it, new update will have quark which I forgot to add and will have a realistic generation which could work like terraforged but better performance

There was a known bug for this I saw somewhere I believe. I think they were hoping to have it fixed in the next update for this pack which by the way will require a new save file if you are interested in updating to it.

i clicked single player, chose middle earth, clicked create world (or whatever it's called) and then it went blank and nothing happened. no text or anything, just that background. i could try again and just wait a little longer. maybe it takes time for it to load the first time.

Any idea how to fix this, if its an error on my side? I tried fresh installing and taht didnt work
I was able to join before we updated it to V4
Think that happens when you have the wrong version of mods or mismatched mods from the server.

One thing to make sure, is that your friend downloaded the server pack. There are various mods in the mod pack that shouldn’t run on the server, and the server pack should resolve those issues

How much ram does the server have out of curiosity?
If other friends can join then there is an error in your side, make sure your on v4, try restarting your pc
