Keeping them all at one cave per recipe makes it rewarding to visit that cave, collect the resources and then use that to craft new utilities to help you get more powerful

Unfortunately it's not very specific. I can't even tell if relics is the cause or just covering the actual underlying issue, so if you crash again without them it could be more informative. For now I can just read

the only issue im having is my skin bugging out i even tried to change it and no i didnt add any resource packs

i did add a few mods none that should impact the game changes though

So, I have an issue with the Alshanex familiars mod. I placed a familiar bed and now it tells me im not the owner of the bed. I can not interact with it or break it. Anyone have this issue?

Looking at the modlist of MMC5 I would suspect EMF (Entity Model Features). If it isn't that, then maybe CosmeticArmorReworked.

You can check its config if you can disable the shield-animation specifically. I don't have MMC5 installed and never played with that mod, so I can't check myself.

EMF's modpage doesn't say that as far as I can see, but based on what it does I would say it is purely client-sided. So if you can't disable that animation and it really bothers you, you should be able to join your server even without that mod.
i did some digging and disabled the resource pack fresh animations and it stopped the shield from glitching i also do have Entity Model Features enabled and the shield is not glitching anymore

Hey y'all. One of the players on my server randomly takes poison damage until he's nearly dead. Every couple of minutes. He is full on food and drinking purified water. Anyone know what the cause is? We've looked through his skill tree and trinkets and can't find anything.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

To me it sounds like he has a backpack with feeding upgrade and it's feeding him spider eyes or something else that's poisonous.
But to 1 hp point?
I don't think poison is that bad over a few seconds

This is something much worse
When you take damage it drains the food bar, so the backpack would keep feeding (spider eyes or whatever) until you reach 1 HP and don't lose further health. Of course I could be wrong, but I can't think of many other ways to take random poison damage.

Hi, feeling stupid right now -- how do i get crows to input items when set to gather items? I've tried chests, barrels, different item frame locations, different container positions. I got it to work briefly with a double chest where the two chests are in the picture with both item frames on front, but after switching out the items in the frame they stopped inputting. Even after switching the items back to the two that worked before didn't fix it.
& when it did work, i had added a third item frame with a banana on it but they wouldn't input it -- which is why i had tried switching out the items.

There are almost no useful items for the Body slot, but already a whole bunch of good items for the Necklace slot. Removing one more Body item and making it a Necklace one doesn't seem very appealing tbh.

I tried both pigs and endermen. The altar had 6k blood in it before and 6k after, so I think the internal buffer was already full.

The reason that I'm so against the Shield of Repulsion right now is that because, as long as you're standing still, you're completely immune to projectiles
For various Esoteric bosses of mine such as the Wither, that is a serious vulnerability

To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.

Are you using the serverfile for the modpack or did you just throw all mods from your client into the server files? It looks like it is trying to load client-only mods.

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

so I cant seem to get the server to run on more than 4 gigs. I tried changing the "user_jvm_args.txt" file to read-only to prevent the script from resetting the max memory to 4 isntead of 8 but it still just runs 4 gigs on the server anyway as a cap

The skill tree simply looks at the XP you currently hold, it doesn't have its own "xp pool". The only way to keep XP on death would be to set keepInventory to true.
I'm running MMC5 and players on my server ran me over to here to bug y'all about crashes and connection issues. The connection issue I'll guess I need the players logs for.
Hazen N Stuff's Rod of Discord causes a server crash when it's in a players inventory, I manually deleted it from their inventory to resolve the crash for now.
This most recent update has been a nightmare for our server between crashing and players not being able to connect.

one of these crashes seems to be caused by the Bosses’Rise mod
you may have to remove it or avoid fighting them for now
the other one may be caused by a specific item but it’s currently hard to see, you need to update the “Neruina” mod first

Unfortunately not, I just bandaid fixed it by checking what player gravity was set to using /attribute and then using /attribute again to offset it to what it should be (0.08 I think)

mod construct failures are typically non-fatal, but due to a super weird connector bug, they crash and report BCLib as the crash reason
but the game would still load in a totally broken state, it's not actually working
ive noticed that a lot that it reports bclib in crash reports that makes sense
i don't quite know anything internally my knowledge comes from reading and learning
so that is one thing answered as to why bclib is blamed a lot

(MMC5): So I don't have a log for it, but if you leave some things in the crafting table, and then use the EMI + button to try to fill out a recipe in the crafting t, the client gets disconnected and sends you back to the main menu.
What's the mod and/or config that makes crafting tables hold on to their inventory when you leave the UI? I want to disable it cause I keep forgetting I left stuff in there, then using EMI for recipes and crashing out

Sure. To disable the texture pack just remove anything with "Excalibur" or "Clarent" in its name from the resource pack folder. If you want vanilla GUIs as well, remove everything "Stoneborn"-related, too.
So he added the resource pack and whenever he tries enabling it, it loads and automatically disables the pack he added
I'm not aware of a reason why Minecraft would automatically disable a resource pack unless the resource pack doesn't match the Minecraft version or is missing a dependency.

This is more of a major issue with mods like Mine Colonies that leave items like the building wand in the crafting grid. I've had instances of it not happening in this most recent release.

Just running in with multiple crashes and now the two players who were on during two seperate crashes have the same connection issue. We've had a lot of issues since this last pack update for MMC5.

In the most recent modpack update, Iron's Spells and Spellbooks was upgraded to 3.14.6 from 3.14.3. According to changelog https://iron.wiki/changelog/ there is considerable amount of API restructuring between the versions. A mod named "AlshamexFamiliars" (which wasn't updated in a while) has a "LullabySpell" and it tried calling shouldHealEntity method from Iron's Spells and Spellbooks, when looking at https://github.com/iron431/irons-spells-n-spellbooks/compare/v1.21.1-3.14.3...v1.21.1-3.14.6, you can clearly see the change that caused the bug (picture), changing the methods signature and JVM throwing an error. <@&875206532936106074>
This might have caused server crash 1-2mins after the bug, as it all happened 2 times in a row. But it is just a speculation.
There will be an overlap prevention in the next update of Structurify 😄

Hi... i'm attempting to play MMC5. From Curseforge, Single player, survival mode, 1.21.1 (Neoforge). Im getting an issue where im like disconnected from the world. I can still move after some initial startup lag. BUT more often than not i can't break blocks, i can't eat, i can't place blocks or interact with anything. I've searched and searched. I get multiple about being a ticking issue. I have tried many suggestions. Removing all the "resource pack" mods. Removing various mob adding mods. Etc. I've also tried adding ram and reducing ram. Can not figure out what the actual problem is. Anyone have any suggestions or fixes. Thank you

I have a question regarding world sharing mod in all LunaPixel modpacks - which mod adds the option and will removing it restore normal vanilla LAN option? I want to play via LAN and so far I found that World Sharing is only causing issues for me.

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

likely it was cause curse broke the download, which does happen from time to time. If you wanna prevent it in the future tryt using atlauncher or prism instead for the launcher.

Required:
Open the game directory (right click pack -> open folder), navigate to the "crash-reports" folder and upload the latest available crash report.
If there is no crash report, navigate to the logs folder and upload "latest.log."
If there is no log, navigate to the base pack directory and upload the hs_err_pid file, if there is one.
you need to be operator to perform actions on suspended entries
if you are not operator all you can do is view them

click on the red entries in the show suspended entries to bring up the info about each one
unless you cleared them, then you can punch the mob to get it again

I can get it to launch, but i can't get it to create a world. it immediately crashes and i have a couple of possible mods that are making things weird. i tried disabling them, but then that brought more issues. if anyone is willing to help me on this extremely weird request, we would all be super thankful. the logs themselves dont have much info about what is causing it
i dont think you quite know what youre doing removing stuff since for one you removed spark which just is a performance profiler mod lmao
i'd honestly just reinstall the pack to make sure you have correct versions of the mods as the latest isnt always the correct one and it can affect your crashing
id use the mod list changes link to add back your added mods in small batches after reinstalling
spark absolute bricks my pc. im not sure why, but it does. complete freezes everything.

Also try to leave Survive in if you can, that might be a required dependency as well. You can disable all its modules in its config(s) though.
Oh, and you removed Ars Nouveau. That could explain all those failed mod-loadings due to manaunification.
Before adding any of your own mods, make sure the pack can still launch without the mods you remove.

Hey guys I am looking into hosting an MMC server for me and my friends again after a while. Last time we took MMC4 the dragons where quite brutal early on. But now MMC5 is on update 27 soooo I assume it's probably the better choice right? With Neoforge being faster and all that. Does it also have the Dragons?

Yup, there's an update for Hazen Stuff which fixes it as it seems to be a bug, however that requires updating azurelib and that breaks TONS of stuff since other mods haven't updated to the new version of the library
It has a recipe and everything else about the armor seems balanced for the cost, but the armor rating itself is 20 across all 4 pieces (helmet 20, chest plate 20 etc.)
ah, yeah she's also had a lot of pretty funny issues with typing in the wrong values or operations
I tried going into the file to tweak the number myself but I don't have the tools for it, so I just settled for the Mithril Spellblade armor instead
putting in so much effort into the modeling and neglecting everything else :p

Mobs level up and become stronger as you progress. 50 health and armor could be strong - if you just started your world - or be super weak - if your progression made mobs level a lot.

Yo how do Affix work? like I wanna put some on some gear I made becasue they seem pretty good. and the way the skill tree is designed it seems that you have to build gear not craft it. So I just wanna know so I can get that extra edge and go Beyond what I thought was capable.

The Chronicle of Shadows (Apotheosis' guide book) is a good place to read about everything. For starters, you will want to make a Reforging Table and an Augmenting Table, as well as a Salvaging Table and a Gem Cutter Table.
Salvage affixed gear you find to get rarity materials, then use those materials to reforge your own gear and/or upgrade gems to higher rarities.

There is no best, it's based on preference. What's best is to try it out yourself as what you like may be something someone else dislikes.
All origins are more or less equally strong in the endgame (gear and skill tree have a much greater effect on your power than your origin). You should choose your origin by what play style you prefer (like melee, range, magic) and if you prefer a challenge or not (like spawning in the Nether or living under water).

It's similar to the overweight debuff from whatever mod adds the Sacks
but I'm not slowed or anything else that I can tell
and I still get a jump boost from running with the Feline Origin, but it's only barely enough to get me to 1 full block jump
