If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.
To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
tries to teleport to twilight, the purple portal thingy showed up and everything, nothing happened so I got out of the water and every entity was frozen and stuff, tried to save and exit to menu but im stuck on saving world. what can I do

The libopenal.so "Problematic frame" in a hs_err_pid34246.log file is a typical Linux problem. To fix it, follow the steps below: 1. Download the latest OpenAL library files from your distro's official repositories. 2. Add -Dorg.lwjgl.openal.libname=/usr/lib/libopenal.so to your launcher java arguments. This path might differ depending on your distribution, so please double-check. Note: Make sure to add "-XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions" to the top, and the path arguments to the bottom of the Java arguments section.

Vanilla Minecraft launches with no prob. So a bit confused what is happening. Added an argument in Prismlauncher. Couldn't make it with Forge either.
On primslauncher it seems to load at least up to almsot the menu

what version is "better" i guess ? never played any modded minecraft.
ive understood that mmc5 is not done? does that mean mmc4 is better or more stable?
i do plan on playing 2 other friends
its not that mmc5 is not "done", but its more recent than mmc4, so it gets more updates, but mmc4 does get updates as well
main difference is mmc5 is on 1.21.1 while mmc4 is on 1.20.1
mmc4 has slightly more content but some people enjoy stuff available in mmc5 more

For Linux, Garuda distro users or Arch use this argument:
-Dorg.lwjgl.openal.libname=/usr/lib/libopenal.so -Dopenal.contexts=pulse
Garuda conflicts audio libraries and it won't allow the modpack to start
I would advise the mods to add that to a FAQ or something too

ironically id say ive had the opposite experience, prism being very reliable and everything else being buggy

hmm general tips would be to check the wiki lol, since youre on garuda most of https://wiki.archlinux.org/ will be relevant to you. its very verbose but its got so much useful information
also don't be afraid to ask your community forums for help, they can be a little intimidating but there's honestly no better way to learn
when i used to use archlinux i learned the vast majority of my stuff from the wiki and forums
i definitely annoyed people with my inexperience but it was able to learn a lot through it

My guess is you're running out of system memory, and resource loading gets corrupted
I would recommend switching to ATLauncher, following the #faq performance guide, and closing all background processes
visually it looks more like a video driver thing but given that it varies randomly per restart I'm thinking it's a resource loading issue

To properly update the modpack you're playing, it depends on the launcher you are using. This video can explains it on CurseForge launcher, and the same method can be used on other launchers as well, but it's not necessary to use this method on others.

You can click 'Continue" at this point, and it will finish the update process and tell you when its successful.

i noticed that no matter my level nor the distance i travel, the mobs keep being under lvl 105 in the end. i looked into the autoleveling mod and saw this, i dont think thats wanted tho since the estoric whatever affix only drops beyond lvl178 mobs
All bosses also stay under level 120 or 130 too, which can be looked into the boss files

The configs are fine, don't change those values. The thing v36 has an issue with is applying the player-based mob scaling. To fix that, please update the medieval mod to version 2.0.1

i already did that and it didnt change it and looking in the folder i sent above, it matches with the max levels i see in my world
Ofc it matches - those are the base limits without player-based mob scaling. Please double check that the only mod file of Medieval in your mod folder is the 2.0.1 version.

lvl 123 in survival and max level in creative didnt change the scaling

for example, since i changed this i dont encounter any endermen under lvl 100 on the main island, since there is no distance traveled (main island is at x and z = 0) its just scaling on my lvl ig?
It’s intended that the only mob that can reach 178+ are bosses with a base level of 120
with the Medieval mod updated, newly spawned mobs should scale based on your skill tree points up to a maximum bonus of 60 bonus levels at 150 skill tree points

im getting in trouble with my storage for mob farm and i want to use another storage mod, any suggestion ?

I have dragon mob griefing off, if that counts as a change to the modpack
I don't know what the crash condition is or how to recreate -- sometimes I get kicked to main menu due to a ticking entity. Other times it hard crashes me and I don't understand the crash report enough to be like "Ah, there's the kill switch!", but on the hard crashes the issue isn't a ticking entity if I'm reading the logs correctly?

As far as I know, generic Spell Power and school-specific Spell Power are equally efficient. So if you use lightning spells, +5 Spell Power and +5 Lightning Spell Power are the same.

True. I have only a very small issue with the description: spelling it "ars spell" doesn't sound like name but some archaic English term. It'd be slightly more clear if Ars were capitalized or even said "Ars Nouveau spell".

You'll notice that none of the Iron's Spell Powers say Iron's Spells
The school-specific spell powers list the school, which is pretty clear. The general "Spell Power" is a little misleading, as it says "all casted spells". That would imply Ars Nouveau spells, too.

Probably SereneSeasons. It can only snow in loaded chunks (so, if you're in your base, it will snow around your base).

In MMC4 it's obtainable in Survival. You need a maxed out skill tree (150 points) and then farm certain bosses (Maledictus, Ignis, Ender Guardian), which have a chance to drop Esoteric gear.
Getting Esoteric is certainly not much fun at the moment 🙃 The system is currently undergoing a rework, but there's no date set for implementation.

Apparently I didn't press the wrong button. This is super weird. Sometimes it shows the crafting recipe for the filter and sometimes not.
Nvm I'm just dumb. In JEI it is cycling through "Charcoal Filter" and "Used Charcoal Filter", which both have the same icon so I didn't notice. Of course only the non-used one has a crafting recipe.

Maledictus is the slowest but the cheapest. The other two you can respawn instantly as long as you have the materials for it.

a secret third option, [+0.5x]
so multiply base
it will basically always act like a [+0.75], since nothing affects base crit damage
but the multiplier will be a bit less out of hand if you have a lot of crit damage sources

you can get any scroll you want with a scroll forge you just need the right item for the scroll type, paper and ink
archevoker can drop up to legendary ink, if you can get their spawn egg with capture, then you are set since you can place them in spawners

hello i installed the medieval mc modpack and i have a problem, when i join the world theres just a small area of chunks loaded, but when i try to go away the chunks just wont load and im stuck in the spawn area, anybody know why is this?

the skill tree is capped at 150, that probably won't change unless the tree itself changes significantly
mobs also won't be buffed from their current state, you are welcome to make that change in your own install though

Required:

Has anyone ever tried to play with just fire magic? I tried it before but I noticed as I got further there were a lot of enemies that were just fire resistant and it felt pointless lol
honestly, the only magic I really used was healing magic, summoning, and the magic you get from ancient cities. I might actually try using the other spells sometime soon though. As for fire resistance, pretty much all nether enemies will be immune to fire, I don't recall a lot of other being immune though
Typically some apotheosis bosses as well, I might've just not had the best luck
I mainly like ender spells from irons spell books since they are very convenient
well, that makes sense cuz they're apotheosis bosses
they're likely heavily decked out in buffs and enchants
Yeah pretty much full Protection and always has Fire Resistance
They're generally so buffed that you're almost forced to use cheesy tactics to reasonably fight
That or you're so overpowered that they don't do anything to you.

When I was doing playtesting, Cataclysm Bosses were quite nice, and then I tested on a Wither and decimated it into pieces

Not necessarily, just mobs that can attack from a range and aren't easily lost out of that range.
We have candidates like the Warden (although it's broken unfortunately), the Wither, the Nightwarden, maybe Obsidilith, Captain Cornelia, Nether Guantlet, etc...
But yeah the plan is to take the Otherside (the Deep Dark dimension), a fairly empty dimension, and convert it into an endgame, very deadly dimension
And I already have a lot set up between already existing mods and a couple other mods that expand on the capability of the project
It'd be nice to use the Otherside as more than a skulk exp farm
Well I've already got a lock mechanism to make sure that it's properly sealed off for the endgame.
This is the one that I could get a Warden boss working cause I was able to use commands to fix its data and prevent it from immediately digging down into the ground.
But yeah after that (which is summoned with a ritual), then you get access to the dimension
I'll probably up the level of mobs here substantially and integrate some more endgame loot in here
And then ofc, the driving force behind this dimension, the bosses
But before I can really get too far into that, I need to make some changes to the higher Apotheosis rarities, because the modded ones are so flawed right now that many consider Ancient to still be the best pre-Esoteric rarity
tldr: I got to make some balancing changes (which are less balancing and more integration) before finishing the project up
Part of that also includes redoing some of the gems.
It's kind of upsetting how much a few basic gems take over much rarer gens that should be more powerful but aren't.
The craftable boss gems especially are insulting (except the Ender Dragon one, that one is good)

Not directly, but you can use a Tome of Extraction, feed the resulting book into an Enchantment Library, take then all enchantments out of the Library except the one you want to remove and add them back onto the item.
What I described is the way to do it for an enchanted item :)
Enchanted item + Tome of Extraction → Unenchanted item + enchanted book
Enchanted book + Library → Enchanted book without the enchantment you want to get rid of
Enchanted book without said enchantment + item you still have from 1st step → same item as in the beginning but without the enchantment you wanted to remove.

The new assets that I imported also added a loot category section for Celestisynth Weapons, which I don't know if I'm going to use it or not
I can make them much stronger than any other existing melee weapon, which fits them due to their overpowered nature as some of the best in game weapons

Extracting gems and enchantments wouldn't be too difficult. I just don't know the Celestisynth mod and its weapons, so I would've preferred the option of a "non-complicated" weapon as an equally good alternative.

There's no denying that Celestisynth weapons are the most OP by far, and that pretty much nothing else even comes close
Almost any reasonable endgame weapon would have some sort of executable ability built in to it

One of Heirloom's strengths now is its high socket count, so having good powerful gems to socket into them can hopefully improve its state as an affix rarity
