1. Download an adoptium release for Java (recommended but not required):

• Consider installing the JRE instead of the JDK for a smaller file size

2. When installing through adoptium, make sure that Add to PATH and Set JAVA_HOME variable are both set to be installed (please see https://imgur.com/a/jPu1h7h for how that would look)

3. Check if java has been correctly installed by running java --version (or java -version on older versions), and seeing if the output is correct (see https://imgur.com/a/OWcoq4p for an example of the output)

• NOTE: 64 bit versions of java ALWAYS have '64-bit Server VM' in the version output. If that is not there, you have installed a 32-BIT version!! If you're getting Out of Memory errors or any other errors, PLEASE install 64-bit

4. If the output isn't as intended, you have 2 options.
   i) Delete ALL other java versions from your PC (ONLY recommended if you don't need them)
   ii) Redirect your launcher/server to use your new installation of Java

Method i

1. Uninstall any other java program listed in your programs list (differs by OS, please find a guide for your own OS if you don't know)
2. Attempt to re-use the command mentioned above (if the output is now correct, which it should be, you are ready to go)

Method ii

1. For a server, please modify the $Java/JAVA variable (found in your startup script depending on ps1/sh) to the path of your java installation. For windows, this path is usually found in "Program Files/Eclipse Adoptium/version_of_java/bin"
2. For a client, depending on whether you use CurseForge, GD, or AT, the process is slightly different. Please see a guide for each respective launcher on how to change the java version.

Wtf now finding Mythic items in the overworld? Since when was that changed? Thought overworld only got uncommon and common affix items?

idk if this was intended or not, but the shielded blazes in the nether give 300 exp per kill which is just way more than most things in the nether and there are spawners you can easily cheese. Can get hundreds of levels without being efficient.

Also this is more of an origins bug but the wood elf race gives 100% attack speed boost which is just ridiculous, lets you reach things like 15 attack speed with a greatsword

All Luna Pixel Studios modpacks come with shader support without Optifine via Oculus on Forge and Iris on Fabric. Optifine is also incompatible with all of our modpacks. The game will not launch with Optifine installed.

1.20.1, latest v19. I opened a chest below a rogue spawner and found a mythic pickaxe. I've also seen a mythic mob spawn in the overworld. I've made a couple edits to the apothesis config to make bosses spawn more frequently. But haven't changed what rarity spawns in what dimension, the overworld is still set to spawn common/uncommon affix and gems

I've also found epic items in overworld chests also. Which is why I'm confused as to why they're spawning in them

Just make sure you have the item on hand with life-mending so it fixes

So I've got a sword that has Looting VIII + III extra Looting levels. With an additional Triple loot chance of 15%, double loot chance of 25%, another double loot chance, then the Goblin origin extra loot chance. Loot pinata affix, then mobs also have a chance to reroll their loot tables 5 times.
In addition, I have Knowledge of the Ages III so all of the drops get turned into XP orbs, so basically three stacks of drops are converted - and then I have two different necklaces and rings that increase my XP gain by 25%, then 50% XP from slain mobs from the skill tree, then Ancient Knowledge V pot that increased my XP gain by 10,000%

Regardless, with my farm, I get to level 500 in about 10-15 seconds. Lol

Mmm basically we just made a large, normal Enderman XP farm - but then added a bunch of Enderman spawners as well.

Spawner mobs have a chance to drop gems as do any mob you kill.

And since you can edit spawners with Apotheosis, AKA spawn rates, radius, etc. you can make some pretty fast and efficient farms quickly.

So we've just got a pretty fast farm - we choice to go with enderman simply because they're better levels than say a normal spawner in the overworld that was spawning like level 3 pillagers or something. It was easier to do the enderman ones that were spawning like level 55 Enderman that we can 1 shot and get more XP from/better gems (or so it seems).

Hey, for some reason the patch for origins so that Blazeborns don’t overheat isn’t working for me, even though I’ve tried redownloading the modpack and making a new world, it still happens, so something isn’t working about whatever they put in to fix that and I don’t know what to do :/

i was playing mmc3 all along and swithced to mmc4 yesterday and its much more clean and well rounded.

skill tree is less buggy

I played prominence with a friend group for a bit, but I usually stick to MC eternal back in 1.12.2. This is so much better in terms of pretty much everything, but there's no thaumcraft

MC eternal has a ton of content (due to how much time modders have had to make mods for that version), but it's so much less optimized. It takes like 30~ minutes to open, in comparison to the minute or 2, max, it takes to open MMC4.

not to mention it runs much worse than MMC4. Still a great modpack, but I wish the mods in it were updated to work in the current version

how do I survive in the nether? Just getting near lava in the overworld kills me due to heat (and also destroys my armor, which is interesting).

And heat resist potions require materials which, as far as I know, can only be found in the nether

With knowledge of the ages sword and an enderman farm do they still drop gems, or would KoTA convert the gems into xp. Because I've noticed a few times I've got back packs from enderman?

So KotA converts MOST to XP but occasionally I’ll randomly get a drop or two

but without it, when I’m using just my normal looting sword without the XP boy, (which I forgot also has 3, 40% XP gems on there lol) - drops loads of backpacks which is a nice way to collect them all but annoying as they’re hard to dispose of other than yeeting them into the void lol

though i can't remember if it's low temp caused by going low underground, or high
