if you do add a resourcepack, i would move it to the very bottom in the resourcepacks tab to give priority to the textures the mod adds, but putting it to the top probably wont cause issues

In order to use OptiFine, follow the steps below:
For 1.16.5 Forge: Remove Magnesium and Dynamic Lights Reforged, add OptiFine HD U G8 to the mods folder.
For 1.18.2 Forge: 1.18.2 comes with Oculus that gives you Shaders with 90% less load times. If you want to use Optifine then remove the Oculus, Rubidium and Dynamic Lights Mods then add Latest 1.18.2 OptiFine to the mods folder.

Optifine Issues are not Supported in the Github however it shouldn't be an issue asking in the Discord for help.

Sorry to join the server and instantly ask something.
I have a problem with Better Minecraft [FORGE] - 1.18.2.

Why are there no mobs (beside turtles?) spawning in caves for me?

Does someone know or has someone any ideas why that is the case?

UPDATE: Apparently they do spawn, but somehow ONLY when I get to a certain point away from where I entered the cave and in a certain direction.

Also, I don't see them from far away, like they aren't spawned in, only when I get very close where they start attacking me, they pop into existence.

Entity Distance was set to 200, but it still seemed weird how they spawned very close to me/my character.

i'd also suggest keeping an eye on GDLauncher and start using it instead when it fully works again

basically GDLauncher relied on CurseForge's modpack system and Curse didnt like that so they let mod creators prevent "third party downloads", making alternate launchers no longer work. GDLauncher works offline and they have a beta out that somewhat bypasses this.
